Small Update v0.8.9.4

Game Master Engine Update v0.8.9.4

Greetings, GMs!
This update brings exciting tools, enhancements, and experimental features designed to speed up your workflow and expand what's possible in your worlds. Here’s everything included in v0.8.9.4:
New Features
New Mouse Look Mode (Press M):
Navigate your scene with greater control using the new free-look mode. Press M to toggle it on or off, giving you full 360° camera movement for easier editing and inspection.

New Brush Tool (Press B):
The new Brush Tool allows you to select props—like trees, rocks, or debris—and "paint" them across your map. It randomly places the selected assets within your brush radius, making it fast and easy to populate large areas like forests or ruins.

World Manager Tag Search:
Easily search for pins by tags in the World Manager. Whether you're looking for quest markers or custom labels, this new search option helps you stay organized in complex maps.

Select All Button (Gizmo UI):
A new Select All button has been added to the Gizmo UI. With one click, you can now select every instance of your currently selected prop across the entire map—ideal for mass edits or quick replacements.
Experimental Features (GM Edition Only)
Shop Marker (Experimental):
Early groundwork for shop zones has been added. This marker will eventually allow players to interact with designated areas as shops, giving you more in-world gameplay tools.

Dungeon Spawner (Experimental):
While this tool is currently called “Dungeon Spawner,” it is already capable of much more. Use it to quickly generate environments like dungeons, forests, villages, and swamps. It’s in early stages but offers a glimpse of powerful procedural tools coming soon.
The following images are examples of what the Dungeon Spawner is capable of creating.

Bug Fixes
Improved Collision in Elven Ruins:
Several props in the Elven Ruins asset set had inaccurate collision settings—these have now been corrected for smoother gameplay.

Trash Bin Enhancements:
The World Manager’s Trash Bin received backend improvements for better reliability when recovering deleted objects.

Small Update v0.8.9.3

Here's what’s included in this update:
Bug Fixes
• Fixed an issue where props could not be deleted.
 • Resolved a graphical bug that caused the floor mat to flicker on AMD systems.
 • Fixed a bug that caused the tile paint brush to remain stuck to the mouse cursor when not in tile paint mode.
 • Addressed an issue where the custom object texture painting feature could become unresponsive.
New Feature
• World Manager with Trash Bin:

Introducing the new World Manager feature! This includes a trash bin functionality, allowing you to recover deleted objects with ease. Never worry about accidental deletions again!

As always, we appreciate your feedback and look forward to hearing how these updates improve your experience. Stay tuned for more exciting changes in future updates!

Best,

Small Patch v0.8.9.2

Game Master Engine Update v0.8.9.2

Dear GMs,
We are excited to announce the latest update for Game Master Engine, featuring key performance enhancements and a completely redesigned initiative tracker. This update focuses on improving your experience, from smoother gameplay to better tools for managing encounters. Here’s a closer look at the changes:
Performance Improvements
FPS Enhancements & Model Optimization:
We’ve introduced a variety of general improvements to boost FPS in both standard and complex use cases. Numerous models have been optimized to leverage Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite technology, enabling you to place more objects on screen with greater performance. Whether you’re constructing detailed maps or using complex props, you should experience smoother and more responsive gameplay.
Optimized Animated Props:
We’ve addressed a performance issue affecting certain animated props, particularly animals like goats, which were previously causing performance drops. These animations have been optimized to ensure better performance when using animated elements, making your worlds more efficient and dynamic.
New Features
Revamped Initiative Tracker:
The old initiative tracker has been completely replaced with a new, more efficient system, accessible under the "Combat" tab for GMs. This updated tracker is designed to simplify encounter management while offering greater flexibility.
Key Features Include:
• Mini Dashboard Integration: Easily add minis to the initiative tracker through the "Mini Dashboard", streamlining the setup of encounters.
 • Round and Turn Tracking: The system automatically tracks rounds and turns, providing an intuitive way to follow combat progression.
 • Turn Highlighting: Keep track of whose turn it is with turn highlighting, reducing confusion during encounters.
 • Easy Sorting by Initiative: While participants are not automatically sorted by initiative, a simple "Sort" button allows you to organize participants in order with minimal effort.

This is just the first phase of our initiative tracker’s redesign, and we have more improvements on the way, including:

 • Multiple Encounters per Map: Manage several encounters on a single map, allowing for more complex combat scenarios.
 • Status Effects and Concentration Tracking: Easily track active status effects and concentration spells for more strategic combat management.
 • Multiplayer Integration: In an upcoming update, all players will be able to view the turn order, keeping everyone on the same page during multiplayer sessions.

Thank you for your continued support of Game Master Engine. We are dedicated to enhancing your experience and look forward to your feedback as we continue to improve the platform.

Best regards,
The Game Master Engine Team
