Patch 3-5-2024 has been released!

Hey Everyone,

I'm happy super excited to share with you a new patch for INSPIRE. Here are the patch notes.

Updates:
  • Added Controller Support. NOTE: The game uses its own controller mapping system, so it's adviced to disable Steam Input for the game.
  • Added a new critical hit system that triggers when in aiming mode.

While aiming, there's a chance that you perform a critical hit, doubling your damage.

  • Increased the brightness of the night slightly. Shadows are now less dark at night.
  • Journal text improvements.
  • Player items sell now for 50% less. No more selling used weapons for premium.
  • Improved Quest flow of the Main Quest. Obelisk destruction is now required before being able to enter Mount Crater.
  • Added a small light to the player to improve visibility when in dark areas.

Bugfixes:
  • Improved ground detection, so player shooting is now more accurate, whilst also fixing an issue where the player would sometimes not shoot when on slopes.
  • Various small performance fixes.

Make sure to update INSPIRE to the latest version, to experience these new additions/fixes.
And as always, if there's something you'd like to see changed, do let me know!

Thank you for playing the game and finding improvements and issues!

Thank You!

Hey all,

I want to say a massive thank you to everyone playing the game in the first week of release! I'm super happy to see all your gameplay and have compiled a list of things that need improving. Some things can quickly turn around, while others may take longer.

There have already been 4 patches since release, which saw a few cool additions to the game like better and more intense Obelisk gameplay, enemy health generation, enemy resistance visuals, city improvements, and more.

If you still have any feature requests or bugs, do let me know via the community tab or Discord, so I can make sure that those get either considered or fixed.

New Gamemode
Next to working on the known issues and requests, I'm also working on a super exciting survival mode, which brings all the INSPIRE gameplay mechanics into a new setting. I've already made quite some progress on this, but it will take some time for me to get it into a fully finished state.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and go get those aliens!

Patch 16-4-2024 has been released!

Hey Everyone,

I'm happy to share with you a new patch for INSPIRE. I managed to get quite a bit of updates and fixes done today so let me break them down for you in these patch notes:

Updates:
  • Added enemy resistance and weakness icons to the enemy health bars. The following damage types are in the game: Base,Fire,Frost,Poison & Electric. Red color means enemy has a resistance to that specific type. Green color means enemy has a weakness to that specific type. Resistance and Weakness is percentage based (0,50%), which is for you to figure out whilst playing :).

Above: Enemy has a weakness against Fire and a Resistance against Poison.

  • Added health regeneration for Obelisks.
  • Improved the melee ability of the Behemoth which now has a slower but bigger area of effect.
  • Increased range of which the Behemoth does its melee ability.
  • Added health regeneration ability to appropriate enemies.
  • Increased drop rate of Life Cores.
  • Increased drop rate of Sentian Parts.
  • Improved "Alien Visitors" journal text.
  • Improved crafting menu tutorial text.
  • Improvements to various Sentian enemies' attack patterns & overall refinements.

Bugfixes:
  • Fixed an issue where the Behemoth doesn't damage the player with melee.
  • Fixed an issue where the Panther and Boar occasionally would damage themselves.
  • Implemented fixes to ensure consistent and accurate saving of credits.

I love seeing all of you play the game and I've got some exciting things in the works for INSPIRE. The first few weeks I'm focussing on tackling things that can be fixed/ improved upon rather quickly. After those are done I'll be looking into the more major fixes/improvements and updates for the game.
