Patch 1.4 OUT NOW!

Hey everyone,

Thanks for standing by as we worked on our latest patch. Patch 1.4 is a big one that has some fundamental changes, a new starting experience, and squashing of a few pesky bugs. We’ve reimagined the onboarding process for both new and returning players to make starting your journey smoother and more exciting!

[h3]Changes[/h3]
  • You can now drag cards around and reorder them in your hand during selection
  • Reimplement loadout selector in combat
  • Changed “Sift Through”. Now you need to target Agama to use it, and it has a delay between the draw and discard actions

[h3]New Starting Experience[/h3]
  • Swapped GSEC Spiderbot for GSEC Drone on the last fight of the Shipyard
  • Changed Combat 1 on Wolf Hollow to 2 Sand Hounds
  • Changed combat 2 on Wolf Hollow to 1 Arocknid and 1 Sand Hound. Also reduced grid to 3 lanes
  • Swapped a Sand Hound for a Pterovore on combat 3 of Wolf Hollow
  • Removed a cover from the first Runshaka fight
  • Removed 1 Pterovore from the last non-boss fight on Wolf Hollow. Also reduced grid to 3 lanes
  • Added Shield Discharge, Shift Charge, Eyes of Gariba, and Recall to the starter decks
  • Changed loot on Malcom Wolf from EotG to Gariba Craftmanship
  • Changed Gariba Craftsmanship to appear on the Moros 2 shop instead
  • Reduced all player units’ max HP by 6
  • Increased Max HP gain every five levels from 3 to 5
  • Added 2 extra skill points to Squig, Norton, and Agama at the start
  • Added 1 extra skill point to Brae when he joins the party
  • Moved the status reaction tutorial to earlier in the game

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue where you could inspect invisible units
  • Resolved a related issue where tooltips appear when hovering over statuses that also appear on invisible units
  • Fixed an issue where controller inputs on the character placement screen stopped working after invoking the loadout, minimizing the game by pressing 'Start,' and reopening it.
  • Fixed movement points UI of the player character remaining blank after the stun effect wears off in combat
  • Fixed stun icon getting removed on units when they get pushed if they were attacked
  • Fixed achievement "Always have a Plan B" sometimes triggering incorrectly

Patch 1.3 Out Now

Hey everyone,

We’re excited to bring you a new update for Dark Sky with Patch 1.3! The team is incredibly grateful for all your support and feedback. We’re still working on a few things, but here’s what’s new in this patch:

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue with the tutorial index appearing behind the pause menu when opened during combat.
  • Fixed being able to place more than three characters during character placement.
  • Fixed an issue where the Pulsing Orb could block projectiles and linear attacks.
  • Fixed the Pulsing Orb gaining resources from upgrades when hitting another Pulsing Orb.
  • Resolved text size issues on the card shop title.
  • Fixed skill point text not localizing correctly.
  • Fixed text size issues on card names.
  • Fixed text size issues on the “Delete File” popup in the load game menu.
  • Fixed text size issues on the “Invalid Loadouts” popup in the collection menu.
  • Fixed text size issues on the “Preview Upgrades” popup in the card shop menu.
  • Fixed the ability to buy respec cards with a gamepad when they shouldn’t be available.
  • Fixed an issue where music would completely stop when going to Moros after the Brit and Grit encounter.
  • Fixed the Mending Mesh VFX appearing behind units.

[h3]Updates[/h3]
  • Added targeting indicators for player targeting.
  • Improved loot asset scale and collision mechanics.
  • Updated the card art for Defense Matrix.

Patch 1.2 Out Now

Hey everyone,

We’re back with another update, and this comes with more fixes and improvements to make Dark Sky an even better experience. The team has been listening closely to your feedback, and today, we’re thrilled to bring you Patch 1.2!

This patch tackles a range of issues, some that we found and a few that came directly from the community. And while Patch 1.2 brings some solid improvements, just know we’re already heads-down on Patch 1.3 - more exciting updates are on the way!

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue where infinite loading screen could occur after a fight
  • Fixed the achievement ‘And Into The Fire’ unlocking incorrectly, even if the player selects the ‘Not just yet’ response and does not leave Moros.
  • Fixed status damage achievements counting enemy damage instead of the player damage
  • Fixed an issue where background music on the main menu becomes inaudible after changing the music from the options menu
  • Fixed an issue where Brae was healed when an ally attacked a unit after Brae attacked it with an upgraded Slash
  • Fixed Brae not jumping correctly on the second strike of an upgraded Slash
  • Fixed Brae’s upgraded Slash sometimes pushing enemies into themselves
  • Fixed Reflective Shields also giving block to Squig
  • Fixed Flux Cannon not dealing Splash Damage
  • Resolved Static Overload’s second tier 2 upgrade not counting damage dealt for Static Achievement
  • Players can not get normal cards during the Final Sever sequence

[h3]Changes[/h3]
  • Reworked upgrade menu visuals
  • Make Energized not consume stacks if the card is not spending EP
  • Added sounds that were missing when using a controller
