Another month, another fresh development update especially for you! Be sure, adventurers - we have some big news you don’t want to miss.

So! This is our FINAL update before the next BIG patch.
And by big patch - we mean BIIIIIIIIG PATCH!
Once again, we will be bringing updates to almost everything in the game, most importantly:
  • Performance
    Visual overhaul
    Combat overhaul
    Crafting and other system overhaul
    Stats / perk system overhaul
    Spells and magic overhaul
    ….and many more general improvements to the game

On top of that - we will finally have Wyrdness! (in the form of Wyrdnight, adding a whole new level to the game).

And on top of that, we will be adding a whole new, shiny zone for you to explore - Cuanacht!

Saying that we are excited to finally share it all with you is understatement and we are putting tons of effort into the last months of getting this patch ready.

[h2]New zone - Cuanacht[/h2]

As a region, Cuanacht will be available to you in beta version, so don't expect the region to be fully polished in every detail just yet. Instead, think of it as a preview of what this region will be like. Right now, we want to gather your feedback to refine it further based on your valuable input. Additionally, there won't be a main storyline in this region yet, but that doesn't mean you'll be bored there. We plan to provide you with over 10 quests of varying complexity and length, so there's plenty of fun ahead for you!



[h2]Saves will be wiped, but we’ll provide pre-sets[/h2]

As we have been saying from the start, we are taking “Early Access” quite seriously, that is why we are constantly working on improving the game and listening to your feedback. Other side of that coin is that we will be doing some serious changes to the game systems that can wipe previous saves. But fear not! If you only want to experience the freshly added content, without the need to start from scratch, we’ll provide you with pre-set save slots. This will allow you to start the adventure right off in the new land, with proper gear and character development level. There will be different build types to choose from, so you'll be able to pick up what suits you best! 💪



[h2]Localization info[/h2]

With patch 0.7 on the horizon, we're about to introduce a wealth of new features and improvements. However, that comes with a price: initially, for a short period, the new content in patch 0.7 will be available exclusively in English. That’s because we've made the decision to prioritize the quality and depth of the content over localization efforts. By focusing our resources on perfecting the gameplay-related features first, we’re closer to delivering what’s our goal - a great open-world action RPG! Rest assured, other language versions will be implemented as fast as possible, ensuring that our diverse community can fully immerse themselves in the world of Avalon. 💬 The info applies exclusively to the new Cuanacht region! Both Horns of South and Tutorial will still be available in all currently supported languages.



[h2]960: Those who had risen from the battle of Badon - Event for Influencers[/h2]

If you're an influencer, you might be interested in our planned event. It's aimed at influencers of all sizes, streamers, etc., who want to join the ranks of 960 and simultaneously stream or publish their content at the patch's release. What do you get by joining the event:

March development update! Fight, dodging, magic & new monsters!



Welcome, travelers!

Another monthly update and more tidbits for those hungry for news from the world of Avalon. As we've made it a habit lately, let's start with the devlog where you'll learn a bit about changes in combat, parrying, dodging and new magic that we'll soon put into your hands. To not keep you in suspense any longer - we plan to release the latest patch at the turn of May/June, where you'll finally be able to visit Cuanacht with all its beauty and dangers lurking at every step. But that's not all we have for you today. Many of you have drawn our attention to the night and your feelings about it, and as a result, we finally have a starry sky through which the moon proudly travels. Cloudless nights will finally have their unique atmosphere. See for yourselves:

Okay, last but not least, something without which the new land would be like the Dead Sea or the surface of the moon. We have a piece of fauna and dangerous creatures lurking for your arrival in the depths of Cuanacht. Let's start with the marshes and one "gentleman" who will surely make your life difficult. We deliberately won't reveal more, so his behavior surprises you as soon as you encounter him on your path.

Another update, unfortunately, slightly delayed again. (Who stole the end of the month!!!) February has the tendency to quickly slip away. However, we are not slowing down, and we bring you another dose of information about our progress and innovations in the game that can truly interest you! Just like last month, we have prepared a video for you because, as they say, one picture can say more than a thousand words. In reality, our development process has reached a level that allows us to communicate with you in this form and show you new things every month!

Late January development update!



Hello Travellers!

Yes, yes, we know that January is already behind us. However, we promised you monthly updates and we want to keep that promise, and there will be a February update as well ;)

This time in a slightly different form. Our development team has recorded a preview for you of what the upcoming new land, Cuanacht, will be like, along with commentary that will answer many of your questions. Check it out for yourselves:

Patch 0.6d+e - optimization, bugfixes and new vegetation!



Hi everyone!

We know it’s pretty late but… Happy New Year! How has your year started? We wish you lots of great adventures and experience - not just the in-game one - gained in 2024!


We’re kicking off the new year with a new patch for Fall of Avalon. It’s one that brings more optimization improvements and bug fixes and to top it off, we’ve even added more grass and made it greener! If that’s not a quality change, we don’t know what is. But on a serious note, we hope this patch brings us one step closer to the optimal gameplay experience. We added all those greenish stuff some time ago, but not shouting about it knowing there are still few issues with it - especially on AMD video cards.
We've heard your feedback, received information about occurring errors, and believe that the current version should now function seamlessly on all devices. There may be a decrease in random spikes and their intensity related to assets loading while traversing the world. And if you've experienced a lack of trees or some areas were devoid of grass, know that it's a kind of magic we're trying to fight back, but it's strong in Wyrdness, and sometimes it takes time.

But here it is, a beautiful and full of life, brand new vegetation in action:

For the curious, here’s the nitty gritty of what’s been changed last time and now:
  • Less unexplainable crashes of the game, especially upon exiting dungeons
  • Some optimizations related to CPU (people with GPUs stronger than CPUs should see improvement in the game’s performance and stability)
  • UI should no longer have low resolution elements on low graphics settings
  • Npcs should now navigate around large vegetation
  • White material roofs should now have their correct colors
  • A couple additional edge cases patched up that affected select users
  • Crime penalty calculations should now use a multiplier instead of the value being squared
  • Disabled some debug graphs being available without dev mode
