AK-xolotl Quality of Life update #4

Hey there!

Firstly, Happy New Year (is it still okay to say that on January 11th? We think so!) 😄

The latest content drop, “Relics and Runs”, hit in late December, but we're kicking off 2024 on the right note with a small Quality of Life and Bug Fixing update, so you can experience all the new content added throughout the recent months in the smoothest way possible.

After a little holiday break to recharge our batteries, we're back in action, sleeves rolled up, and already working on more content and updates. Stay tuned for announcements on dates!

Here's the rundown of changes and improvements included in this update:

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Sock It Snake acid Spit attacks now deal damage to the Decoy ability.
  • Fixed the bug where restarting a run while an enemy was spinning would cause the spinning SFX to continue nonstop
  • Fixed the issue with Utility Belt being found both in chests and shop rooms within the same run
  • Woolly enemy now drops Doraditos as intended
  • Tea Rex boss will now give you the appropriate amount of rewards from run modifiers
  • Decoy ability will no longer stop working after playing a Daily Run
  • Fixed the issue with the Boony enemy sometimes spawning in idle position and softlocking the game
  • Fixed the bug with melee weapons not destroying projectiles when Star item was equipped
  • Rewards from Run Modifiers should no longer appear during Daily Runs
  • Fixed issue with items from the Summon ability dropping out of bounds
  • All achievements should now be able to be unlocked properly (specifically, “Diabolical”, “Surprise!” and “I Stepped on (1000) Caterkillah”)
  • Fixed the bug where clicking out of the Leaderboards window after a Daily Run wouldn’t allow you to press continue
  • Fixed the issue with the Leaderboards "Around" tab highlighting the first 3 players
  • Bucanneer starter weapon should now be dealing damage to the tentacle wall attack from the C’thulotl boss
  • Fixed the bug with rockets not dealing damage as soon as they spawned
  • Raygun weapon should now properly work against flying enemies
  • Fixed the issue with Advanced Ammo having the wrong image when it was dropped on the floor
  • Spike traps are no longer activate after a room is cleared
  • Fixed the issue with the camera panning to the wrong spot when coming back to the Hub after collecting a Cave axolittle
  • Nugget will no longer have the exclamation mark symbol above its head if there are no new dialogue options
  • Fixed the bug where the Faith ability was making you lose some of your items if you didn't die after using it
  • Mine-Gast bullets should no longer be getting stuck on walls
  • Fixed the art of the rocket bullets rebounce when Dpad Shots item is equipped
  • Fixed the icon of the Gangster Weapon Specialization
  • Freeze status effect will no longer make jumping enemies bug
  • Fixed the description of the Shotgunnifier weapon
  • Fixed the issue with the Magnet item now working as intended
  • Fixed the issues with the aim assist, it is now working properly
  • Canceller item no longer makes you lose your ability charge progression


[h3]Other[/h3]
  • Added Journal menu inside the Pause Menu during a run (you can now check the details of your weapons and items through it inside the run)
  • Added scroll bar for both Journal and Axopedia menus and removed the empty slots
  • The mouse cursor is now confined inside the screen when you are in Fullscreen mode
  • Made adjustments to camera when it is set to Player focus, and it should feel more responsive now
  • Lava Ground in the Cave biome now does damage after you cleared the room
  • Added prompt to close the Leaderboards when talking to Mr Huggins
