DD #49 Merry Christmas!
Hi everyone, welcome to another week's developer's diary.
First, I apologize for there being no discount during the Steam Winter Sale.
As the game was just released into early access not so long ago, Steam does not allow me to set up a discount just yet. Thus, I am not able to do so.
Nevertheless, a few holiday-related contents have been added.
Christmas hats will appear in the safehouse's supply box on December 25th.
Christmas trees have been added as new furniture to decorate your pocket dimension.
Alternatively, you can also use those Christmas trees to block enemies even though that's not very efficient.
Some locations will also have their own Christmas trees.
Although it's unlikely to have a Christmas truce between the survivors and the zombies in Queensmouth.
A Christmas tree placed in the police station may bring some hope.
All the above are controlled by the system local time. Thus, if anyone missed anything or just wants to have their Christmas any time during the year, they just need to change the system time to sometime around December 25th.
Meanwhile, the stories in the Site Demeter continue.
As the containment branch can be considered as a part of "the Sins of the Father" main story quest, some old history has just been revealed. It has something related to World War 2. It has something related to some famous and infamous historical figures. It has something related to another Dragon organization whose color appears not so secret in the history books.

The agents of the Foundation finally arrived.
But, that may not be good news.
Some puzzles have been solved. Yet, more questions have arisen.
What if the source of all the information is unreliable?
In addition to the story contents, some systems have been improved, some feedbacks have been addressed just like usual.
We can now roughly know where the mouse is even when it's outside the game window.
Almost all the item drop lists of enemies have been rewritten to allow better mathematics control.
Police vests and poison weapons have been added to counter certain enemies.
That's for this week.
Merry Christmas! :)
Today's changelog:
#########Content################
New furniture: Christmas Tree (with 2 color variations.)
They are sold by the Furniture vendor in No.181 River Road and Friedrich in the Bazaar.
They only appear in those vendors' inventory from December 1st to January 5th based on system local time.
Christmas Trees will appear in the Safehouse, No.181 River Road, Queensmouth Police Station (modern-day version) between December 24th and January 5th.
They are just there for decoration.
New item: Christmas Hat
The supply box of the Safehouse will have a Christmas Hat every year on December 25th local system time. The hat mentions which year it is generated in its item description.
It's using a bit different system than other loots in the supply box. The item is generated when announced instead of when opening the supply box.
Thus, even when opening the box next year, the hat's description about it's a Christmas Hat from 2021 will not change.
Captain Nameless has a different dialogue about the supply box on Christmas. It's also based on local system time.
#########System################
Added a SeasonManager module. All the seasonal time checks shall go here. (Use system local time only for a customizable gameplay experience.)
Added function supports to the Christmas Hat's item generation behavior.
#########DEBUG#################
[Equip Scene]Fixed a bug that sometimes the item menu on the left side may display items incorrectly.
