It has been a long journey. Thank you to everyone who is walking with me. and the continuous development of the game is also in memory of those who once walked with us. Even though our history can backtrack to 2004, our presence on Steam is relatively young. It's only about two and a half years. It's also quite unfortunate that previous iterations of this world cannot be a part of the main game as they are technically almost impossible to localize. But, their existence will not be forgotten as they have been turned into mods of this game in the Steam Workshop. Thus, we can call this a Trinity of three games. This is our past.
We now live in an interesting time with new technologies emerging every day. Although I currently have no plan to change the 20-year-old RPG Maker XP engine which this game is built upon. Because that will disrupt the game's heritage. You will find me quite open to using many other new technologies to make the game better. Here is an example. During this week's development, I replaced the battlefield background for the High Priest's Lab in the Black Pyramid. As you know I am not good at art. But, now AI can help me with that. Here is the workflow:

Step 1: I get an image that I like its structure.

Step 2: I order the AI to replace the wall on the left with a stair to match the map in the game.

Step 3: As the story progress, the water shall turns dark and filthy. Thus, I asked AI to modify the image further.
All can be done within an hour while previously I may take an entire afternoon or more to render a similar image with a lower quality. However, that is not without risks. I heard Valve is recently refusing games with AI-generated art to be published on Steam. Let's face it, the problem of copyright is very real. I don't intend to hurt any artists. Here is my role as a lawyer kicks in. I make sure my data training source is either licensed or in the public domain. Thus, if Gabe knocks on my door, we shall be quite safe. Just click the game's "credit" file. You can find where I get those images that I use to train AIs from. Also, Adobe told me, their Firefly can be used for commercial purposes without worrying about the training data. :)
This is the moment we are living.
Look into the future. After finishing the main story of Egypt, we still have a few chapters to go in the main story. There will be more features and content along the way with main story updates. Thus, I don't think the game's early access will end any time soon especially since I am working on this game all alone. Because I am the continuity of the innocent boy 19 years ago who made a promise to an innocent girl. We may no longer be who were anymore. But I still intend to let that fairy tale live on even in a terrible unfair world known as adulthood. We can never go back anymore. The only way out is to go forward. This is the future we are heading.
Now, let's talk about this week's updates.
1, The main story continues. The bad guy has been defeated with a twist in the plot. (It's just not as dramatic as what Prigozhin did. Curse this guy! His 24-hour circus show distracted me from working quite a lot.) The question is, now what? The show goes on in that Black Pyramid. There will be another big decision to make. It's likely not the last battle in this area. You cannot make everyone happy after all.
2, A new cheat code has been added so that you can turn off enemies' field of view entirely so that they cannot detect you anymore. You can turn it back on if you input it again.
3, Dr. Kyofu, Zhao Sandao, and the officer in the warehouse of Liu's PSB, all got their content expanded a bit. Dr. Kyofu has more variations in her procedurally generated random quests. Zhao can butch more types of animals. And you can mess around with the officer in the warehouse by showing him tokens from other factions.
4, Scroll of Time Stop. One of the most powerful spells in the previous iterations of the game is now here once again. With a mod in the workshop, you can now cosplay Dio quite accurately. :)
5, Even bigger window size for bigger resolutions. We now have 1920 x 1440, 2560 x 1920, and 3200 x 2400.
That's for this week. Meanwhile, it's Steam Summer Sale! I hope everyone is enjoying themselves. I will likely acquire more assets for the game.
