Diplomacy in the Pegasus Galaxy - DevDiary 2
Hello, Directors!
The series of DevDiaries continues! Today we take a look at Diplomacy.
Previous installments:
In the Pegasus Expedition, diplomacy is conducted in two ways: by having diplomatic negotiations through the Diplomacy Window, and by visiting other factions in narrative diplomatic events to discuss current affairs.

To start negotiations with a faction and open the Diplomacy Window, simply click the Initiate Diplomacy icon when hovering over or after selecting a system belonging to that faction. Here, you may tailor your offers and requests from several actions and treaties, such as offering resources, free trade rights or exchanging scientific data as well as negotiating non-aggression pacts or peace, among other options.

In addition, you may set your diplomatic approach from a set of three options: diplomatic, pressuring or threatening. Each tone of negotiations can yield different results, but pressuring or outright threatening another faction might well damage your relations with them. When planning your diplomatic deals and choosing your approach to the negotiations at hand, you’ll see an estimation of the reaction your experts are expecting to see from the receiving party, which determines the expected possibility of success for your offer.
When a simple meeting of diplomats won’t cut it, you’ll get a chance to visit the leaders and personnel of various other factions, and affect the galaxy’s fate through direct dialogue.

Whether you choose to mingle for military assistance and scientific advancements, or with warlords to set up new puppet states amidst the ruins of civil wars, humanity’s next steps in the Pegasus galaxy will be full of intriguing twists and turns.
And that's it! If you want to experience the feel yourself, there is no better way than playing the free demo that is currently available on Steam!
