The current development priorities and upcoming update(s)

Greetings Directors,

The Pegasus Expedition, even in its Early Access release form, is quite a complex and long game; this makes finding and fixing bugs challenging, and properly testing fixes a time-consuming process as well. Rest assured we are hard at work and thanks to the amount of information you, our community, have provided (we cannot stress enough how much we appreciate that, please, keep all your feedback coming), we will be releasing a patch fixing many of the following issues in the coming days.

We believe we have successfully resolved these most critical issues, but testing to make sure everything works properly still takes time, we humbly ask for a little more patience:
  • Certain operating system language-related issues that prevented launching a New Game
  • Operating system and system’s processing-related crash that prevented Launching a New Game
  • A bug blocking progress for some players in the quest objective “Foothold secured” in a very late part of the game.
  • “Attack Otokhot” quest objective could remain unfulfilled forever as the game wouldn’t notice the player had conquered it in an earlier part of the quest.
  • Low happiness penalties were often regarded as bonuses, instead of penalties
  • The Ror clan was too powerful and aggressive in the very beginning of the game. They will now take a bit longer to recover from the initial shock of the player's arrival, and the player will begin with a bit stronger force.
  • Upgrade button would sometimes remove the wrong building to replace with the upgraded building.
  • Rebalancing the Repair system, there is now a 6-turn max cap for repair time, and missile salvos and strategic weapons will now have a cheaper refill price.

We are also working on slightly less serious issues and bugs, which might come in a separate patch a few days later:
  • Anabah Movement could appear without declaring war, causing unintended situations.
  • Daras acted very aggressively and expansively, often contrary to their intended behaviour. Their behaviour has been enhanced to be more in line with their declared intentions.
  • Daras would also get their fleets stuck in ex-Tamanin Empire territory, they no longer will venture there too early.
  • Refusing a certain meeting after the destruction of the Pegasus Republic could result in wrong ending lines.
  • Fixed some string ID:s showing instead of intended text.
  • Fixed some typos found in the text.

We are also aware of the feedback on tutorials, and we will be making them more fleshed out, with additional visual elements supplementing text. This will however take more than a few days to properly prepare. In the meantime, you can refer to a beginner's guide we have prepared - let us know if anything in it is still unclear and we can update that much more easily!

We are humbled by the interest our game generated, and the amount of feedback we are getting - but we can always use more, please, don't hesitate and post all positive and negative feedback either here on Steam in the discussions, or on our Discord server.
