Last Early Access Content Update - The Exodus - Is Live!

Greetings Directors,
We have officially entered the final stretch before full launch of The Pegasus Expedition - the last of the scheduled major Content Updates is here!

The Exodus is a new scenario bringing a serious twist to the traditional 4X gameplay; in it, the galaxy is being consumed by the unstoppable Biomass and all you can do is delay the inevitable. Your mission has failed, humanity is doomed, all you can do is run and survive for as long as you can. Fun, right?

But of course, the new scenario is not the only addition to the game. Most importantly, the combat system has undergone a complete overhaul and now you will have much more control over the strategy your fleets employ, along with an update to the tutorial reflecting that.

The galaxy is changing significantly as well, with an update to the galaxy generation, meaning that individual star systems will be more specialized in terms of resource production, reinforcing the importance of planning your colonies and structures, as well as the targets for your conquest.

And to make building your colonies up, there is a new Filtering feature, making it much easier to find the buildings you want.

But wait, there's more... Check out the complete changelog below! And if you like the new changes, consider leaving the game a Steam review, or come chat to the developers on their Discord server!

  • The way galactic perception is changed to more directly reflect players' actions and will now also much more directly affect how the Other factions will view the player.
  • AI will now prioritize building higher tier fleets as well as research technologies more actively in aim to keep them better on par with the player. The Pegasus Expedition - hotfix

Greetings Directors,

We've managed to locate and fix a few issues you reported, so here's the hotfix! Thank you very much and, please, keep reporting those bugs, you can do that here on Steam or join our Discord server.

Change Log:

  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from receiving Anabah cutscene, thus soft-locking the game.
  • Fixed issue where AI would sometimes build fleets with non-existant units.
  • Fixed an issue where AI would sometimes "skip" over systems hostile to it.

“Story stops after Anabah” hotfix

Hello Directors,

We just wanted to inform you that the issue when story sometimes stops after the Anabah section has been resolved.

After the hotfix, the game is playable from a bugged save, but it is still preferable to use the manual fix we've mentioned in the previous article or to continue from a save before the battle of Anabah, as then the campaign will continue in the "correct state". Without doing either of those, the game now tolerates the wrong state but it may lead to some unforeseen consequences.

If you experience anything out of order, get in touch with us here on Steam or on our Discord server.

Thank you for your patience!

“Story stops after Anabah” bug solution

Greetings Directors,

Some of you have reported an issue where the storyline stops after completing the Anabah part of the game. We are already working on a solution but we want you to be able to play the game until we release the fix, so If you're experiencing this issue, please, follow these to fix the corrupted save file.

1. Start The Pegasus Expedition
2. Load a save after the Anabah Battle
3. Open Options/Settings, scroll down to “Use Save Compression” and make sure it’s turned OFF.
5. Return to Options/Save Game
6. Save your game, and name it for example “Post_Anabah_Fixed”
7. Open Options/Settings, scroll down to “Use Save Compression” and toggle that back ON.
8. Exit the game.
9. Find the save file, it’s usually in C\Users\Current User\AppData\LocalLow\Kalla Gameworks\The Pegasus Expedition\Saves. (You can copy-paste this to your file path: %AppData%\..\LocalLow\Kalla Gameworks\The Pegasus Expedition\Saves)
10. Open the save you created, Post_Anabah_Fixed, with a text editor.
11. Use Ctrl+F to find "DisabledEncounters".
12. Add to between square brackets [ ] the following: "FLEETS_IN_VEROAE", (including the comma)
13. Save the file.
14. Start The Pegasus Expedition and load the save you edited, Post_Anabah_Fixed.save.

We apologize for the inconvenience. If you need any more help with this specific issue or with anything else, get in touch with us here on Steam or join our Discord server.

The third Content Update "The Height of The Empire" is here!

Greetings Directors,

Allow us to introduce the third Content Update for The Pegasus Expedition, The Height of The Empire! In this new scenario, the Tamanin Empire stays unified against you, unlike in the main narrative campaign where it experiences a civil war and splinters into several smaller factions. You will have to face fierce opposition from them and be thrust into war immediately!

That's not all however, we have introduced a plethora of new features and changes based on your feedback. Among the highlights are an overhaul to the story consequences system, giving you a much clearer idea of how your choices impact the campaign; a brand new Veterancy system, which will make sure your units will improve their performance when they survive through many battles; a new governing tool, the Edicts, which will give you additional control over the happiness of your subjects and a new devastating option has been added to your arsenal, you can now use Thermonuclear weapons to turn the tide of battle, but incur a massive reputation penalty.

But there's more, check out the full list of changes below and don't forget to let us know what you think in the Steam discussions or ask the developers directly on their Discord server. And please, if you like the game, consider reviewing it here on Steam.
