The Pegasus Expedition | Public Beta of a New Patch!

Greetings, Directors!

Thanks to your reports, we have isolated yet another nest of pesky intergalactic bugs. We believe we have exterminated them fully, but one can never be sure - and so, to be on the safe side, we are first rolling out this update as a public beta in a special beta branch, and if it proves stable, we’ll update the game for everyone. That’s why your feedback is even more crucial now – so please, check out the beta branch and storm those Steam discussions and our Discord server with your reports!

To access the beta, head to your Steam Library, right-click The Pegasus Expedition, left-click Properties, left-click Betas, and from the drop-down menu, select the option “beta - Test builds for further patches.” Your game will then update to the pre-final version.



The update fixes the following issues:

  • Destroy Inoa Quest could be received even if the Inoa has been destroyed.
  • Biomass Campaign could not start correctly.
  • In specific circumstances, a storyline could lead to an infinite loop at chapter 5 start.

Galactic 4X game The Pegasus Expedition adds Klingon localization, with a catch

Localization is a key part of the game development process. If you want your game to be enjoyed by players across the world, then you need to meet them in their own language. This is especially true for text-driven games, RPGs, and the like, but it's also the case for action-adventures, FPS games, and grand strategy titles. The Pegasus Expedition fits the latter descriptor, and prior to this week was available in English, Russian, and Simplified Chinese. This covers plenty of the globe, but there are a lot of players who don't speak any of these three languages. Luckily, developer Kalla Gameworks is adding every other language to exist. Kind of.

As the blistering temperatures of this time of year drive many toward the natural wonders of vacations and trips, we have prepared an alternative that makes it worth looking once more into the cold and relaxing vacuum of space aboard the bridge of the Pegasus Expeditionary Fleet.

Thanks to your reports, we have isolated and fixed a bulky pack of pesky bugs and introduced new features in the new Big Intergalactic Bug Hunt patch! Chief among these features is the support for custom languages – for the xenolinguists among you, or simply those who would like to enjoy the story of Pegasus Expedition in your mother tongue. You will find the full steps to create your very own language pack below, along with the rest of the Change Log.
