  • Fixed several instances of visible gaps and transparent walls located in the world.

  • Fixed a bug where consuming food while already full would display the animation.

  • Fixed the issue where building cores, ceilings, walls, and recyclers were not receiving damage.

  • Fixed the bug that caused certain structures to remain after the foundation was destroyed.

  • Fixed the time delay for Spot Events and NPC spawning.

  • Added Wild mutant mushrooms to creature-occupied areas.

Weekend Events Are On Hold

We left almost nothing untouched when rebalancing the game for this new season. So we will not have any weekend events for the first two weekends following the start of season 4. Please understand that this is to ensure fairness and keep people from climbing up the rankings too quickly at the start of the season.


Resource Return for Single/Custom Servers!

Due to the world changes in Season 4, not only the Official Servers but also the Single/Custom Servers will undergo a reset.
However, starting completely from scratch in the Single/Custom Servers is unnecessary, so most of your existing resources will be returned via mailbox.
This also applies to buildings, as they will be converted into resources and returned to the mailbox.


(Note: This does not apply to Official Servers for fair competition.)


What’s New in Season 4?
Here are the most important things to know when jumping into the game:

šŸ”ļø The map has been completely renovated, with full redesigns of all types of bases. This is to make sure that inexperienced players don’t needlessly access higher-level areas.

šŸ° We now have a clan system in the game. Create your own clan and grow your influence with your fellow clan members!

šŸ’Š Pills are now solely for damage prevention, shots are for removing status effects. Furthermore, we've added animations for consuming food items, which means the auto-eating function is no longer available. We understand this might be a bit inconvenient, but we want to assure you that we have plans to introduce additional features for food items in the future. This is just the initial step taken to enhance the gameplay experience with food mechanics.


šŸ› ļø Some higher-level recipes now need a more powerful crafting bench to be unlocked. You’ll need to level up your building core first before you can upgrade your crafting bench. Above all, the production time of the Forge has been reduced!

šŸ•ļø There is now a separate crafting bench for consumables, so don’t forget to build your starter base in a place that allows for easy expansion.

šŸŽÆ More skills = more customization. You’ll have more options when leveling up your character’s skills, so have a plan in mind when you start unlocking skills.

āš ļø With the focus on rebalancing the factions, some mobs may be more deadly than they used to be. Be careful not to get killed out there, and be sure to place a sleeping bag so you can quickly respawn nearby.

Season 4: Brothers-In-Arms


[h3]Part 2 of 2: Clans, New Skills, and More![/h3]

Our last game note was all about how much the landscape will be changing in next week’s update. This time I’d like to share all of the new features we’re adding. Most of them help to round out the game’s content and give players more direction about how to move through their journey on Ararat Island.

We’d love to hear what you think about everything we’re adding, especially with such big changes to the game. That’s why we’re also opening some new temporary Season 4 channels on our Discord server to better discuss each of the changes we’ve made. Our whole team is curious to hear your feedback, so hop on over to our Discord and let us know what you think!

[h2]IMPORTANT:[/h2]
All official servers will be wiped for this new season. This includes 'uncapped' servers. The Terrafire countdown will begin 24 hours before we begin maintenance.

That means the countdown will be starting at roughly the following times:
PST: Late Tuesday night (July 25th)
CET: Early Wednesday morning (July 26th)
KST: Early Wednesday afternoon (July 26th)



Clan System

You can now manage your in-game friends with our all-new clan system! Clans will be shown in the rankings as well so you can show how strong you and your friends are by rising to the top of the rankings together!



New Base Protection Server-Type

Some of you may remember the ā€˜no-raid’ servers we used to have. We’re bringing them back while also adding a few new improvements, so we felt the name needed a change to suit those changes.

šŸ”¹ Slower energy usage in all base cores.
šŸ”¹ Higher gathering rates for resources.



A Surplus of Skills

We’ve added 25 new skills to the skills menu that range from giving you resistance to different status effects to increasing the max durability of your weapons, armor and protocols when crafted. The crafting skills will definitely help clans work together by allowing different members to build up their mastery in different weapons or armor categories.



Refined Progression System

We realized that players needed a bit more structure when progressing through the game, so we’re adding a tech-tree system. It’s based primarily around your building core’s level, so you’ll need to have a better building core to be able to craft better items.

This will be useful for newer players to the game by giving them a more distinct pathway to follow when learning the game’s systems. But if you’re more experienced, and are worried that this will ā€˜cramp your style’, don’t worry! We’ve been careful to make sure the progression feels natural and doesn’t add unnecessary hurdles to the game.


Forge Production Time Reduced

We've listened to your feedback and reduced the production time of the Forge. Enjoy faster processing without the wait!
We have enhanced the crafting system and improved the resource balance to achieve this. Now you can experience a more enjoyable crafting process!


New Mob Types!

With all of the gun-type mobs on Ararat Island, we wanted to add some melee types to round out the experience more. They might seem harmless because they can’t hit you from far away, but some of them can jump pretty far, so be careful!

There are also some new super cute new floating robots that’ll zap you if you get too close!





Buff/Debuff Pills

In the past, pills were used as a way to instantly restore negative conditions. We’ve modified them to instead give the player certain buffs. The Heat Preventive Pill, for example, will give you resistance to heat status changes for a few minute seconds, but beware! It also makes you more susceptible to cold damage at the same time!

[h3]We’ve also added shots back into the game for you to use to remove status effects.[/h3]



New Endings/Scenarios

Lastly, we’ve added new content to the tutorial.. ahem.. mission guide, extending the game well past the Hyena Transport Ship portion of the ā€œstoryline.ā€ The new story content adds a lot of needed depth to the characters of the game, so be sure to give it a run-through on your next playthrough! It’ll apply to both single-player as well as official servers.

BIONIC BOOST Event



ā€˜BIONIC BOOST’ Event

This weekend, all of our servers will have another ā€˜BIONIC BOOST’ event!! It will be active for 48 hours from midnight on Friday, July 21st (PST) to midnight on Sunday, July 23rd.

Your cybernetic arm will receive a temporary augmentation, increasing your ability to gather resources.

Official servers will receive two separate boosts this weekend:

Excluding special items like keys, all gathering will be doubled over the weekend. This includes terrasite, stone, and metal, as well as all containers and NPCs around Ararat Island.

[h2]2x forge speed:[/h2]
All forgeable items will be processed at twice their normal speed.
