Galactic Glitch v1.01 - Thank you everyone!



Hey everyone!

It's only been one day since the 1.0 release, but we've already been completely blown away by your response to the new version! Thank you so much everyone that's been with us since EA and playing the new content or to anyone that's just diving into the game for the first time! With this 1.0 launch, Galactic Glitch is now bigger than ever before, and we couldn't be more excited!

Also, thank you so much to everyone that sent feedback, we've been super hard at work fixing bugs that popped up and improving many other things that you guys mentioned!

We've also swapped out some of the music tracks that were causing creators and streamers to get copyright claims. We're very sorry if you were affected by that!

Here's the full changelist:

  • Added more starting Powers for variety
  • New music tracks for Tutorial and Asteroid levels
  • Added new music tracks for Quarantine, Docks and Cybervoid
  • New layered backgrounds for Cybervoid
  • Increased Cybervoid difficulty (harder enemies, no more crates!)
  • Rebalanced Cerberus boss fight
  • Improved some loading screens


[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed the Glitch Gate not opening issue
  • Fixed System Override not creating drones when upgraded
  • Fixed Cybervoid neutral enemies not attacking
  • Fixed some map icon sizing
  • Fixed Orbs not displayed on 21:9 resolution
  • Fixed Sim Level HUD icon not updating when infusing boss orbs
  • Disabled version text ingame


On top of that, we are hard at work preparing the content after Cerberus Boss, and that should be ready and unlocked on Friday evening CET.

Galactic Glitch v1.0 is OUT NOW!



Hey everyone!

The day is finally here - Galactic Glitch 1.0 is NOW LIVE! After an incredible Early Access journey with all of you, we're super excited to officially launch the full version of the game!

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who's been with us during Early Access. Your feedback, bug reports, and suggestions have shaped Galactic Glitch into what it is today. You guys are the best!

[h3]What's new in 1.0[/h3]
Version 1.0 is packed with features we mentioned before, plus some more:
  • Quarantine Zone – a tough, infested new midgame level
  • Cybervoid – a dynamic and challenging new final area
  • 20+ new enemies, each with new mechanics
  • 8 new bosses – including 2 "big" ones
  • 40+ new powers, for a total of 90+
  • Glitch Bombs – a new mechanic, to unlock secrets and explore
  • Prototype Ships – find, capture, and use them as unique starters
  • Overview Map – track your exploration across the void
  • Glitch Tokens – a new system for upgrading your power
  • Reworked UI and a streamlined Boss Orb system
  • 15+ new room types – including challenges, events, and mini-bosses
  • Higher base difficulty and better-tuned progression
  • Expanded Hub with new rooms and construction helpers
  • Accessibility and Difficulty modifiers – making the game accessible to more players!

We’re thrilled to announce that Galactic Glitch will release on the 3rd of June 2025, marking the end of the Early Access period.

We’ve been working hard on version 1.0, and it’s a big one - packed with new levels, bosses, enemies, and long-requested features from the community.

[h3]To our Community[/h3]
You guys, our community, guided us all through Early Access, and we’re incredibly thankful for that. We made really big development changes based on your feedback, like adding mid-run saves, improving the NG+ system, or completely reworking weapon upgrades (twice!). Version 1.0 keeps following that path, with highly requested features like the new Prototype starter ships, more secrets to find and areas to explore, and a much improved Power upgrade system.

Going through Early Access with you guys has been a real blast!

As we announced before, we're planning a beta phase about a week before release (so in about 2 weeks from now), which will be available to all EA players. That will be your chance to jump into the new content early and try out all the new goodies the game has to offer, before everyone else jumps in!

Galactic Glitch 1.0 Timeline Update

Hey everyone!

We wanted to give you a quick update on our plans for the full 1.0 release of Galactic Glitch, which is coming in about one month from now!

First off, we want to say thanks to all of you for making our Early Access journey so awesome. We're super happy with our over 200 reviews and 91% positive rating! The EA period has been great for getting tons of feedback that helped us improve the game even further. You guys are the best!

We're adding a lot of new things in 1.0, starting with lots new content to deepen the experience:
  • New levels with unique mechanics
  • More enemies and bosses to challenge your wits and skill
  • More weapons with different attack styles to build up your arsenal
  • More Powers to create your own customized and crazy powerful builds
  • A completely revamped and updated HUD

We're also rebalancing the game's difficulty and progression completely, with a much stronger focus on Roguelike fans, who enjoy a deeper challenge. In exchange for upping the difficulty we've also increased some options of creating awesome builds, meaning that you'll need to think and plan to craft a truly powerful build. And you'll definitely need it to succeed in your goal, of escaping the simulation!


Besides the new content and updated progression, there will also be completely new features and mechanics in the game. One of those new feature is actually one that many EA players have been asking for: Unique starter ships!

The way it works: You'll be able to find and capture many wild and abandoned prototype ships which Siren created in the past, on her previous escape attempts. Once captured and returned to the Hub, you'll be able to tame and control them, and then swap them in as your own. Each of these prototypes will have unique stats and characteristics and will make for very different runs.



We think these new starter ships will be an awesome addition to the game, and will offer you many new and exciting ways to plan and execute your builds on each run!

Hey everyone,
We just pushed out a new update to address issues you've reported and make some balance adjustments. Thanks for all the feedback, it really helps make the game better!

Here's what changed in this update:

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed Weapon Upgrade not upgrading special attack
  • Fixed special weapon having wrong tier on load
  • Fixed grabbed weapon projectiles damaging player after throwing
  • Fixed wrong controller icons in map menu for PS5 controller
  • Fixed issues with mid-run savegames
  • Fixed some Chinese texts

Additions and Balance Changes
  • Tweaked weapon upgrades balance
  • Improved variation in weapon sounds
  • Tweaked Spotter enemy in Armory level
  • Tweaked Flakbomber enemy in Armory level
  • Tweaked Poison status effect timings
  • Updated Glitchspace items sound effects
