7/27/22 Chaos Chain Developer Status Update

I wanted to stop by and leave a quick announcement for everyone to let you all know how progress is coming on the next big update to the game. It still has a ways to go, but I'm making good progress, but it's going to take time. It's a lot of work.

This time, I plan to talk about the new city sector and some other stuff.
The new district is the Industrial Zone. It's still a heavy work in progress, but I have some early screenshots to show off. A lot of details have yet to be added and most the characters are only placeholders or generic, but it's coming along nicely.




Aside from the new zone, of course there will be a lot more content like quests, characters to interact with, equipment, and more. One important new piece of equipment is the Neural Link.

Basically, this headset allows you to use hackpads without needing to have a processor implanted - meaning you can either stay non-augmented or you can get bioware augments instead. This also solves the problematic question "What if I want to be a (combat) hacker but without getting chromed?". Now you can.
That said, the regular hacking system will also be hopefully implemented for the next update as well. This system will be the base framework for hacking into systems, getting past security doors, etc. Like I said, I have a long way to go.
Other improvements and upgrades have also taken place such as a more user friendly HUD in terms of objectives and questing, colored floating labels for events and characters in the environment based on their importance or type, and a lot more.
There is a lot of other stuff to note, but I'll save that for another time.
