Deepest Chamber - Two weeks in Early Access and patch notes.
Hello there dwellers!
It’s been two weeks since we launched Deepest Chamber into Early Access and one week since our first patch. If you haven’t read all the changes we made based on community feedback yet, you can do so in last week's update.
Last week we spoke about how some of the changes will be related to design elements and the overall user experience of the game - you’ll see this reflected in this week’s update, along with some small content updates (there's two new trinkets for you to play around with!). Once again, we want to express our gratitude to everyone who has left us feedback. Your input and comments are what allows us to improve the game, and we read every single thing you send our way.
Without further ado, here's what's new this week:
- Added two new Trinkets (Fool's Cap and Lifeless Hand)
- Added a new map visual to the Sewers (Mushroom Grow Chamber)
- Permanent buffs are now yellow instead of gray
- Filth buffs on Pure Collectors now give 1 Filth Card when attacked instead of 2
- Quest Cards can now be nailed
- Player save data is more frequently saved to prevent progess loss on power outages or potential crashes
- Added a visual indicator to the UI to show when a save is happening
- Added additional text to combat log (Trinket activation: Cobweb, Lifeless Hand)
- Fixed Ambered Cards not being loaded in as Ambered from save files
- Fixed Channeled Flame not saving draw numbers properly
- Fixed Black Cat trinket not loading in from a save file as a Black Cat but the Trinket it hiddenly was
- Fixed combat log sometimes mistakenly displaying Buff stack numbers when the Buff was not stacked
- Fixed the map not staying the same visually when continuing a run
Please do try out the new build and explore all the changes we've made. We hope you enjoy these changes as much as we do, and if you have any thoughts, comments, or feedback, we'd love to hear it. We'll be reading everything you leave us on the Steam Forums, on our Discord Community, on Twitter or Reddit.
We'll be back before you know it with additional improvements to the game.
Until next time, dwellers.
