Handy improvements

We've received a ton of feedback during the first week of Early Access. Thank you! After the Modding and Melee update we focused on quality of life and visual improvements you requested and we could implement fast.

Below is the full list, next priority for now is ingame shop.

[VERSION 0.012]

* Inventory elements collisions improved to help avoid accidental category changes
* Abilities recharging effect updated for improved at a glance readability
* Abilities recharging sound added for no more glances needed
* Highlight effect on chests
* Mission bounties are now affected by currently selected difficulty - higher rewards on higher difficulties
* Key/Button indication for collecting items
* Mission 4 boss (Hongsoo extraction) - health increased
* Barrage buffed
* Thunderhawk Missiles nerfed
* Teleport effect added when bosses spawn Dreads
* Bug fixed - broken player movement after dashing into final boss arena

Items modding and Melee overhaul

The most requested progression system is here! You can now upgrade your weapons and armor pieces with various mods you collect in missions. We've also significantly improved our melee system with new animations and sounds to make the whole experience much more satisfying.

* Items modding - First iteration of modding system, to upgrade your items with mods - accessible from your ship
* Melee weapons - New and improved animations for Power Sword, Rocket Hammer and Spear
* Melee audio - new and improved sounds for all melee weapons and revised audio mix
* Improved shotgun animation
* Chest and item drop icons on the overlay map (not yet on minimap due to technical complications)
* Smaller rooms in first three missions for higher enemy density
* First boss also spawns larger enemies, to make the fight experience more interesting
* First boss also drops Level 2 gun, to show a modded item earlier in the game
* Interaction tooltips on abilities in the inventory, to make clear that they can be consumed for experience
* UI tooltips regarding unlocking of Character Skills
* Hit collisions of mission bosses improved
* Various fixes in text localizations

After first days of Early Access

First of all big thanks to everyone who supported us and is already playing the game. Welcome!
We know the game is far from perfect, we are listening, are here and working.

[h2]Our next steps[/h2]
We are a small team and this Early Access is a great way to sort our development priorities based on your feedback. Our short term plan was to focus on new abilities and more interesting ability trees. But you've clearly spoken that you need the modding system and the shop first.

TL;DR our new short term priorities are:

* Modding system - using mods and credits you've collected for upgrading your weapons and armor pieces
* Shop - for selling items you've collected and getting the ones you need
* Melee fight - already working on improving the overall experience - more animations, better sounds

[h2]Known issues[/h2]
We've received reports that the game crashes from time to time on some machines. We are really sorry and working on fixing the issue. In most cases there is a single crash per several hours of gameplay, if any. If it crashes more often for you, please contact us on [email protected] and attach your computer setup it will help us locating and solving the issue.

EDIT: There is a chance that the game crashes can be avoided by switching to "Fullscreen Window" mode in Video settings. Let us know if it worked for you.

The game doesn't run on Assus ROG Ally at the moment, we bought the device and are trying to resolve the issue.

Dreadhunter - Early Access Released!

Dreadhunter - Early Access Released!

It's finally here! After 3.5 years in development we launched Early Access of Dreadhunter.

The current version includes the core gameplay systems, the first story act and around 40 items to equip your mech with. It also includes 12 replayable, procedurally generated dungeons with bossfights and various difficulty levels including Hardcore (permadeath) mode for you to hone your Dread hunting skills.

There's still a lot to work on, such as items modding, the other 3 story acts, endgame and, of course, more content like monsters, environments, items and abilities (as well as improvements to existing ones). Despite that, we believe Dreadhunter experience is something unique and already offers a lot of condensed fun!
