SANABI News & Updated Roadmap

Hey everyone,
It’s Team SANABI.

First, Happy New Year!
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday with loved ones and a great start to 2023.

We’ve been deeply into developing the game day and night to offer the best gaming experience for our community, but also have somber news to deliver.

One of our developers recently had an accident and the overall workflow needs to be adjusted.
Fortunately, our teammate is recovering with a positive pace, but it is unavoidable for us to reconsider our original plans.
Thus, we have decided to push the official release which was originally scheduled for Q1.

Now shifting to a brighter topic. Since our last Beta version, we received a lot of valuable feedback and decided to have another beta test to gather more feedback.

Though the extended development period was due to the accident, the team wants to deliver the game with top-notch quality with the additional time that we have. To do so, we think it’s best to have another beta test to hear all the voices and concerns from our community.
We will do our best to improve the game in every area including the difficulty, balance, control, system, etc. until the official release.

We’ll be back with the exact date and details of the 2nd Beta Test in February.

Please find the updated development roadmap below.

Thanks again for your huge support and please continue the journey with us until the full release. We will do our best to give you the most entertaining experience.

Beta Build Announcement

Hello there!

After yesterday's Beta version update, we have received many reports and feedback from our fans.

Among those reports, many were related to controlling the length of the Chain Arm (Spacebar).
A temporary fix for this issue is to reset your key settings in the menu.
We will fix this issue in an update soon.

Furthermore, we are very aware that the Beta version lacks polish in many parts.
We will implement the feedbacks we have received for the official update.

Thank you.

Development Q&A / Fan Art Contest Winner Announcement

Hey everyone!
Its Wonder Potion

We just came back from a long-time Korean traditional holiday called Chuseok!
Hope everybody had a great time during their holidays (or weekends), and let’s get straight into business!
Q&A
After releasing SANABI in the Early Access state, many fans have continuously shared their enthusiasm through feedback and questions.
Therefore we thought this would be a perfect opportunity to answer some of the most frequently asked questions!

Volume of Content

- SANABI was designed to consist of 5 individual chapters with gameplay planned to be 7~8 hours long for someone who has never played before. As all games do in the Platformer genre, the total hour of gameplay will vary depending on the player’s skill and experience. So please keep in mind the 7~8 hour is only an average benchmark.

Roadmap & Updates

- We received many questions regarding the Development Roadmap posted on our Steam page

The Development Roadmap currently posted is an approximate timeline of SANABI’s development and may differ from the actual update timeline. Currently, we do not plan to add additional content before SANABI’s full release. However, to deliver the most amount of content in the full release, we are planning to have a beta branch where players can experience snippets of our planned content.

Our team’s highest priority is to present SANABI in its complete state to our fans as soon as possible. Therefore, for now, we will be allocating most of our resources to the development itself, rather than new content updates.

Before the full release, we will be preparing a build for Steam’s Beta Branch where players can experience what’s to come. This will include some of Chapter 3’s late story and part of Chapter 4. We will be announcing further details soon, so stay tuned!

Our team believed that we needed more time to smoothen out certain issues such as the build stability issues, additional content updates, and converting to the Nintendo SWITCH port.
We concluded that SANABI will be coming to the PC and Nintendo SWITCH both with a release date planned for the 1st quarter of 2023!
Fan Arts
Many fans submitted their art during the August Fan Art Contest.
It sure was tough to pick just a handful of our participants.

Let’s check out the winners!

- Pepper
- Dr. Police L
- 파스냥
- PAREN
- 흰냥

From Cartoonish art styles to pixel art, many more can be found on our Discord channel!
We truly express our deepest gratitude to our fans.

We hope our efforts may someday match all the love and support we have received from our fans.

Thank you,
From Wonder Potion.
