Five Nations hotfix 2021-06-19

- The AI is less aggressive in campaign missions by not sending their initial defense forces against the player
- The AI players in Observer mode are fixed on the Cryo and Bursum skirmish maps
- Fix custom cursor drifting by clicking
- Fighters assigned to carriers suffer 50% less damage

Dear All

Please find below the release notes for patch v1.0.3.

New features:
- Map visibility setting for skirmish games
- New skirmish game modes: "Extra resources" and "Deathmatch"
- Observer mode in skirmish games
- The number of the maximum selectable units is increased from 24 to 100
- Workers in construction are excluded from multiselection
- Cargos assigned to mining stations are excluded from multiselection
- Selecting Custom Cursor in the Launcher locks the mouse pointer to the game window. This may cause the lag of the cursor movement as the cursor does not follow the OS pointer anymore but the position is calculated by the game. It's recommended to use the OS cursor in this case. - Option to set the mouse speed for custom cursor

Bug fixes:
- Invisible Zhogarn entities spawning after load game
- Zhogarn nerve clouds around buildings are stacked
- Winning a map on "story" overwrites the previous "hard" indication
- Chapter 2 Mission 14 ending sequence bug
- Speed upgrade indication not works for various vessels

Performance and crashes:
- Revert the addition of selector boxes when hovering the cursor over entities
- Revert NWJS library version from 0.54.0 to 0.52.0
- The "No Audio" checkbox is added to launcher screen turning off the audio completely during the game. This is needed to continue the crash bug investigation.

Balancing and config:
- HermesThruster upgrade give 15 speed bonus instead of 33% to all Dockyard vessels
- Construction page refactoring in WASD keyboard layout
- Cheaper Thorun Vanguard: -50 Metal, -25 Helium-3 and -5 construction time
- Cheaper Thorun Consulate: -50 Metal, -10 construction time
- More expensive Cloak Generator Sylon upgrade: +100 Metal, +100 Helium-, and +150 Energy
- Decreased aura of the Sylon Cloak Generator: -80 range
- Sylon Mask lost its Stealth ability
- Sylon Shade lost its Stealth ability
- Athrael Clairvoyant gained Sensor ability
- Thorun Provincial Beacon gained Sensor ability and +2 vision
- Increased defensive range for AI players
- The skirmish AI produces some permanent defenders in the beginning of the game

2021-06-02 Hotfix notes

- A critical issue was found which could crash the loading of a saved game. Ship names are randomly assigned to larger ships and there was a Thorun shipname with special unicode character in the naming pool (T’orluk). The load game logic is fixed now to ignore this special character.
- A small change was also added: ctrl + click selects all units from the same category (alias of double click).
- The demo is not affected because the Thorun race is excluded.

Dear All

Please find below the release notes for patch v1.0.2. Both the base game and demo are updated with the below changes. As we previously requested we recommend to try the demo version before your purchase!

New features:
- Tactical pause activation with F8
- Resolutions and skirmish difficulty settings are editable in JSON files in assets/config/
- Pressing F1 selects the worker without scrolling to it and the idle worker icon is clickable now
- Scrolling with middle mouse button
- Moving the cursor over a unit shows its clickable selection box and healthbar
- The spell casting area display indicates which units will be affected by the spell
- Show the healthbar of all player controlled units by holding the ALT key
- When the load game fails then the saved game in JSON format is dumped to the console for debugging purposes
- Chevron added to dropdown lists
- Resolution and Skirmish difficulty settings are extracted to JSON config files which can be edited, see: "build/assets/config"
- Experimental ultra-wide resolution option added: 2560x1080. There are visual glitches in the menu but the battlefield and the HUD are displayed correctly

Bug fixes:
- Wrong difficulty description in mission selector when it was set to hard previously
- Unit selection lost when main menu opened
- Portraits don’t seem to unlock if you reload a mission from a save
- When creating a new map in the Map Editor then the Test Map function does not load the map
- C01M05 save game issue when the Cormoran ship are not counted properly

Balancing:
- Hailstorm lost its ability to attack fighters and hull decreased from 200 to 175
- Construction page hotkey changed from B to Y in WASD keyboard layout
- Leech mines classification is no longer "fighter" - regular weapons can attack them

Other:
- New portraits and artworks for Salamon Zamor and Anton Vargas

Please find below the release notes for patch v1.0.1. Both the base game and demo are updated with the below changes. We recommend to try the demo version before your purchase!

New features:
- The primary resolution of the UI changed from HD (1280x720) to Full HD (1920x1080). On other resolution settings the UI is scaled accordingly
- New resolution options: 1280x800, 1366x768, 1440x900, 1600x900, 1680x1050, 2560x1440
- Many missions refactored to make them playable on higher resolutions
- WASD scrolling hotkey layout: can be set in the Main Menu => Profile => Options
- The hotkeys can be edited in the JSON files in the assets/config/hotkey folder
- The speed of the units is indicated on the HUD
- Special Cruisers recieve the armor upgrades
- Links of our social media sites added to the Launcher window

Bug fixes:
- Save game fixed in missions (only affects the games saved after this patch): C01M05, C01M09, C02M12, C00M04 (where C stands for the chapter and M stands for the mission)
- Save game general fix: structures not animated after the game was loaded
- Main menu Exit popup overlapped by the mission selector
- Profile menu overlapped the How to play confirmation popup
- fixing typos in several places

Balancing:
- Repair POD and Shild Battery costs 5 power instead of 3
- Athrael Polaron Sphere and Thorun Guard Station weapon's now instantly hit (no projectile is created), Polaron Sphere's cooldown increased to 130 from 110
- Thorun Raider +5 speed, -25 Metal, -10 sec construction time
- Zhogarn Rictus, Ruptor and Elasmo Ruptor lost their ability to aim Fighters
- Beginner AI buffed: production time penalty changed from 200% to 50%, cargo penalty changed from -50% to -20%
