For those of you who installed the update, your save file might have been replaced with a testing file called “aminowana” that unlocks 100% of the game for QA purposes. Hello, wanderers! [/p][p][/p][p]Here are the changes and bug fixes for the latest patch:
[/p][p]QOL changes:
[/p]
  • [p]The game now remembers discovered enemy attributes across battles during an episode run. This change does not affect additional randomized attributes for certain enemy types, only permanent attributes will be recorded.[/p]
  • [p]In the prepare menu, it no longer clears all your equipped words when turning back from the stats selection. B button (Cancel) now clears one equipped word at a time, instead of closing the whole menu. It is now required to hold down the cancel button for a short time to close the menu with a controller.[/p]
  • [p]Boombots will now consider fleeing the battle in a few turns if the player doesn’t have the LULLABY word equipped.

[p]Bug fixes:
[/p]
  • [p]Fixed mouse hover detection for main menu buttons.[/p]
  • [p]Zombody enemy is now immune to the stun status effect.[/p]
  • [p]Word DEFLECT no longer appears as a pep up word in the level up menu.[/p]
  • [p]Word REFRESH now displays the correct amount of cooldown.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with the challenge mode button in the episode select menu. It no longer becomes unusable after completing a challenge run. [/p]
  • [p]Fixed an additional issue when leaving the challenge button pressed and returning to the main menu- after returning the button would remain pressed.[/p]
  • [p]It is now possible to hover for more info on stats/words in the level up menu if you have a lower amount of honor points.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an overlapping text issue in the speech bubble from the store menu.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a combat softlock caused by abandoning Episode 1 during the tournament fight, and starting a different episode right after.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with the end episode results bonus for “No Enemy KOs” sometimes not granting the bonus honor.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a black screen softlock after being defeated by Anzu in Episode 1 challenge mode.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue in all challenge mode battle results. Failing the special condition would not grant the “No enemy KO's” bonus, even if all enemies were peaced out correctly.[/p]
  • [p]Added a failsafe solution to the pep ups menus becoming unselectable with controllers.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the special condition for \[not using SP] still granting bonus honor after using SP in battle.[/p]
  • [p]If the player enters a battle against a Lightdroid and no equipped words grant block points, the Lightdroid will flee the fight in fewer turns than before.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with maps with chaser enemies while playing with a mouse. If two chasers met in between spaces, it would occasionally cause the player to be unable to move until the chasers reached their destinations.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with chaser enemy battles that would occasionally reset the map after the fight.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with maps in darkness and enemy chasers sometimes appearing on top of the darkness.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with the word REFRESH not recovering cooldowns when fighting the final boss.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue for mouse inputs where enemies at their breaking points could not be hovered or clicked in that state.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue in the Episode Select menu with the INFO and STATS buttons remaining in “pressed” state, after switching between Training and Settings menus.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted the participation price of event #103 from 15 to 10 ñols.[/p]
  • [p]Some users reported issues with Steam cloud failing to save properly. We made some adjustments to the Demo app, let us know if any issues persist related to cloud saving.[/p]

Wander Stars 1.2.4 patch notes (10/11/2025)

[p]Hello, wanderers! [/p][p]We’ve got a ton of fixes and adjustments for the most recent patch. Thank you so much for your patience and for reporting any issues you might have encountered! [/p][p][/p][p]Bug fixes:
[/p]
  • [p]Changed the way the game closes itself when using \[EXIT] button in the main menu.[/p]
  • [p]Made adjustments to the saving method in order to avoid data corruption when closing the game under certain circumstances.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an additional issue in episode 5 ACT 1-2 that would cause a black screen and sometimes data wipes after closing the game.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with the final attack VFX against a boss fight triggering even if the boss was immune, resistant, evading, among others.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the pep up “One more thing” granting more than 1 word slot.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an enemy selection issue with mouse clicks in a episode 5 ACT 3 event battle.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a sequence break issue in episode 4 after clearing the "Trial of Boldness" battle.[/p]
  • [p]Added a failsafe for a normal battle softlock occurring in episode 2 in which combat UI would sometimes fail to load randomly.[/p]
  • [p]Added a failsafe for two separate reported softlocks of enemies repeating their attacks on a loop and killing the player in the process.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an event in EP2 ACT2 that was not inflicting damage after Ringo was struck by lighting.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue in the after credits scene of episode 10 when attempting to open the settings menu during the cutscene.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an UI issue in the map menus when switching from mouse to controller input and vice versa.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a combat softlock that would occur when enemies/bosses died by status effect damage (bleed, burn, shock) as soon as they used PASS.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a combat targeting issue with mouse input while fighting 3 or more enemies. Using multi-target words like WIDE would cause the last selected enemy to always be selected for attacking, regardless of which enemy was clicked.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue when using LULLABY against an enemy with an active counter. It no longer puts Ringo to sleep.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a softlock in episode 7 ACT 1-5 caused by clicking the space with the fleeing enemy. If the enemy was in an adjacent space to the player, the game would occasionally lock all inputs.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a visual bug with the challenge Darkdroids that would morph into a Roboto Arms.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the auto-scroll for attributes getting stuck when enemies had only 4 words in a column.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with the pep ups menu when switching from controller to mouse and returning to main menu. It would make the pep ups menu stay open on the main menu.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a UI issue while playing on a map with chaser enemies. If a chaser enemy caught the player while a map menu was open, it would persist in the battle and softlock it.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug with the mod word ONE that would not recover 1 turn of cooldown at all.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with the challenge mode button getting stuck after finishing a challenge episode.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a Steam Deck resolution issue with the background images of the episode select menu.[/p]
  • [p]Added a failsafe to a words menu issue caused by selling words in the store menu. This would cause the menu to get stuck and wouldn’t allow any other mod words to be added or removed.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted episode 6 normal mode boss attributes, and fixed the special barrier issue with immunities and the final attack VFX.[/p]
  • [p]Changed the price value of WAVE from 30 to 50 honor points in the level up menu.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with REFRESH not recovering turns of cooldown and also messing up other words' cooldowns.[/p]
  • [p]Boombots no longer explode infinitely if two of them are defeated at the same time.
