Wander Stars Takes Part in Tiny Teams 2025!

[p][/p][p][/p][p]We're honoured to let you know that Wander Stars has been selected to be part of Tiny Teams 2025! Running since 2020, Tiny Teams is hosted by Yogscast Games on Steam and helps celebrate games made by solo developers and micro-studios, from already popular hits, to hidden gems and what could be the next "big thing."[/p][p]Make sure you play the Wander Stars demo, available during the festival, and don't forget to wishlist - it really helps! We're really excited for you to play the full game on September 19th![/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]

Wander Stars Release Date Update

[p][/p][p]Hello everyone, we have some news to share.[/p][p][/p][p]Wander Stars is coming out a little bit later than you might have expected. [/p][p][/p][p]First of all, we want to thank you for participating in the open beta. We truly value every bit of feedback and ideas that you have shared with us, but it has also made it very clear that we need more time to truly deliver the game we wanted to make from the start. [/p][p][/p][p]We heard you loud and clear – the UI is broken in many places and often confusing. The combat bugs can ruin the fun, and the balancing is a bit wacky starting from episode 2 onwards.[/p][p][/p][p]So based on your feedback, we have decided to take a bit more time to polish, balance, and take care of the bugs currently hindering the game. We’ve also been working on overdrive to meet our previous deadline, so taking a bit more time will not only make the game better overall, but it is also necessary for us to take care of our wellbeing as we approach the finish line.[/p][p][/p][p]And in an Underhero-like twist of events, Wander Stars is now launching on September 19. That’s right, on the 7th anniversary of Underhero![/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]That’s a very long time, and we are truly thankful for your patience with us and for being here all these years. We really think the wait will be worth it, and we can’t wait to share the final and improved version of Wander Stars with all of you.[/p][p]
Lots of love,
Paper Castle Team[/p]

Wander Stars Demo 1.1.1 patch notes (6/14/25):

[p]Hi there, we hope you’ve had a wonderful Next Fest![/p][p]
We’ve been reading your feedback and working on some general bug fixes for the demo:[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where Wolfe would fail to join the party again after a game over.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where using an item would sometimes heal enemies instead of the player.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a softlock caused by quitting episode 1 and immediately starting over.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a softlock in the treasure/power up menu. It wouldn’t spawn the accept button if you changed resolutions in settings.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with controllers that would invert enemy targets selection, if there were 3 or more in the battle.[/p]
  • [p]Added a new action total feature, where you can see how much damage your action will inflict if it’s normal, weak, or resist.[/p]
  • [p]Added letter-boxing for ultra wide resolutions, maintaining the correct aspect ratio of 16:9 the game was designed for.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed undefeated run appearing as 0 in episode end results, when it should display the bonus value.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the SP button spawning a placeholder button icon during tutorials if you used a mouse.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed challenge mode special conditions repeating for all combats in the same map.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed challenge mode special condition that inflicts bleed with weaks, now affects all actors.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a rare instance where the dark overlay of the pause menu would remain active after closing the pause menu.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Ringo’s landing animation smoke VFX. The Shader displayed a border around the smoke that looked very weird.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue with the combat deed “First turn finish”. It would occasionally reward the player with honor even after several turns passed.[/p]
[p][/p][p]That's it for today. As always thank you for playing, and please share your feedback so we can improve the game even further!
