New Achievements & Class Balance Changes

Fellow Primates,

The Sunken Shrine area has just gone live, and we hope you enjoy exploring it! With the introduction of new bosses, we’ve also added six new achievements for you to challenge yourself with—don’t forget to give them a try!

Additionally, we've made a few balance adjustments:

[h3]Tweaks[/h3]
- Ghost Monkey: Disabled Soul Vessel relic effect for Ghost Monkey class
- Ghost Monkey: Healing calculations fixed (food was healing more HP than intended)
- MASTER DOG: Your Damage Bonus Stat will also benefit your Familiars and Summons
- MASTER DOG: Increased starting Damage and decreased starting Health and Attack Speed

The Brand-New Biome "Sunken Shrine" Has Surfaced!

The wait is finally over — the first major update that introduces a whole-new biome, the Sunken Shrine, is officially live!

    The corrupting force has reached a mystical underwater world, where whispers of sunken treasures lure adventurers.

    Treasure chests are more plentiful beneath the waves than on land.A Small Tip: if you’re exploring water-filled areas, Electricity Enchantment will be your best friend!

    Monsters lurk beneath the water’s surface, and ancient ruins are riddled with natural traps.

    Tentacles everywhere! Ancient statues! And don’t be surprised if you see flying sea creatures, because birds are really just swimming through the air, after all!

  • Two Brand-New Bosses:[/h3]
    "Rumor has it there’s a frog in the forest claiming to be king. Ruling over a POND doesn’t make one a monarch…"

    One of the bosses is a powerful warrior from the depths, while the other is... well, something indescribable so we’ll leave that for you to discover!

    Monkeys in each region boast unique traits, but one thing unites them all—they’re irresistibly adorable ♥

    No more spoilers here—just know that these little monkeys are adorable, and who knows, they might even grow stronger over time!

Of course, as mentioned last time, Endless Mode has also been updated to include those new ocean creatures as well as the land beneath the sea, so don’t miss the chance to test your skills against them!

An OP New Class with a New Evil Weapon!

[h3]New Class - Ghost Monkey[/h3]

Now you’ve got an even better reason to take down that annoying ghost! ;)
Ghost Monkey is immune to all environmental hazards, and even the strongest hits will barely scratch him. But... at what cost?

[h3]New Weapon - Ghost Scepter[/h3]

Trap the souls of your foes, and use them to gain power.
The starting weapon for the new Ghost Monkey class—but of course it is unlockable for all!

[h3]New Mechanism -Element Interactions: [/h3]
  • Now Electricity deals more damage to enemies touching water. Electricity also stuns enemies much faster when they are in water.
  • Burn effects no longer apply to enemies touching water.

[h3]Balance Tweaks:[/h3]
  • Weapon - Crow Staff: Increased damage.
  • Class - Warrior Bear: Lifesteal effects are now half as effective.
  • Normal Mode: Slightly longer immunity frames after taking damage.
  • Hard Mode: Default immunity frames duration is now set at 50% of the Normal Mode instead of completely removed.
  • Immunity Indicator: Added an aura to show when the main character has immunity.
  • Blacksmith: Now informs you if there are no weapons to upgrade.
  • Statue Curse Aura Color: Changed to orange to avoid confusion with enemy attack auras.
  • Final boss: Removed knockback from Spikes attack, avoiding getting hit in chain
  • Final boss: Laser attack was not disabling if killed while executing it

[h3]Bug Fixes:[/h3]

Fixed the water "splashing" sound playing even when SFX volume was set to 0.

The First Major Update is on the Way 🐒

Hello, Fellow Primates!

Since the Early Access launch of Dunjungle, we’ve been rolling out weekly updates, introducing a number of classes, weapons, and relics to aid in the fight to defend the forest. Recently, we even added an Endless Mode to challenge the unrelenting forces of corruption.

Your incredible support and feedback have inspired us, and from this week, we’re pausing our regular update schedule to focus on preparing a brand-new biome for the next major update.

Here’s a preview of what’s coming:

The major update is set to go live around Christmas, approximately December 25, coinciding with the Steam Winter Sale and a new discount period.

That’s a sneak peek at the exciting content arriving in the next big update 🐒. This new area will feature stunning art, immersive sound design, and rigorous testing to ensure a polished experience. We’re working hard to deliver something amazing—stay tuned and stay hyped!

New Weapons and Relic Compendium Available Now!

The monke scientists in the jungle have been working hard on weapon R&D, therefore in the 0.1.9 update we are introducing 3 brand new weapons for you!

- Buffed Spirit Orb: Increased size, hit rate, reduced travel speed, and updated animation.
- Baby Monkey room (final area) - Increased amount of enemies spawned
- Food: Buffed Apple, Avocado, and Banana Health Recovery
- Homing Pigeons: Less Pigeons but more damage per Pigeon!
