PROPHUNT - Patch Notes: Early Access v0.4

Hello everyone, welcome to the brand new version 0.4 of PROPHUNT which refines the game and adds a lot of new content but also some in-game balancing.

As this version reworks almost the entire game and its infrastructure, there will be no detailed patch notes but only the biggest additions of the update. The vast majority of the code and netcode has been improved and optimized to avoid in-game annoyances.

[h3]REWORK[/h3]
The Bunker map has been reworked! It is now much more balanced, varied and fun to walk around. We've changed the layout of the props and we've also shortened the maze that was getting boring.

[h3]GAMEPLAY[/h3]
All gameplay as a hunter has been revised. We have integrated four robot classes each with their own specificities and gameplay mechanics, and of course it comes with a much improved arsenal! Come hunt props with a machine gun, heavy machine gun, assault rifle, grenade launcher, pistol and shotgun. The hunting games will be even more interesting and strategic.

Of course we are not leaving the props aside and we are developing new gameplay mechanics for them. You will know more in the next updates!

[h3]BUFF[/h3]
The Police Station map has been slightly modified to be more pleasant and less chaotic to play.

[h3]INTERFACE[/h3]
All interface designs have been revised to be more modern and intuitive. Moreover, the sound effects have also been improved to be more pleasant and less... surprising.

[h3]LAN[/h3]
We have added LAN support in the game so that you can play only in this type of configuration, it can be more pleasant to find games with only people connected to the same internet network as you.

We still have a lot of things to improve and add in future updates like improving character animations and sound effects, but it's a long and expensive work, we hope you'll be lenient about it.

Update about the current status of PROPHUNT

Hello everyone, we are writing this message to update you about the current status of PROPHUNT as well as future updates.

First of all, we would like to thank all the people who trusted us by purchasing our game during the early access phase. This has allowed us to generate revenue that will allow us to improve the game accordingly and thus provide you with an even more polished and finished product, with new features and even more optimized.

[h3]THE FUTURE OF THE GAME[/h3]
It's been several months since we last gave you any news and published any updates. The reason is simple, we are reworking the whole structure of the game and all the networking. This process is very long but necessary to be able to evolve the game without getting fatal errors later on that could potentially damage the game and your experience as a player.

The next update to PROPHUNT will be released on December 22, 2021 and will come with a 30% promotion. It will contain a lot of new content that we are currently keeping as a surprise!

PROPHUNT - Patch Notes: Early Access v0.3

Hello everyone, here is a new update that greatly improves the quality of life of the game while adding several new features that you suggested. We have also decided to change the way we write the patch notes in order to better classify the new features into clear categories so that you can better find your way around:

[h3]REWORK[/h3]
The Hangar map has been revamped and improved by removing unnecessary areas to be more balanced. The light and shadow management has been greatly improved and we have optimized the performance in game.

[h3]GAMEPLAY[/h3]
We have also added a new gameplay element: anti-AFK for props. This will prevent props from staying in one place for the duration of the game to force them to move during the game. This feature is experimental, we would love to receive your feedback on it in order to improve it and modify it accordingly.

[h3]ADDED[/h3]

  • Added an indication of the remaining time of the round as well as the number of hunters and props still alive
  • Added a text chat allowing to communicate with all players of the game or only with his team
  • Added the possibility to set the time to hide to 90 seconds
  • Added a reload sound for all weapons
  • Added keystroke indication that they were not before

  • Improved the player's camera position
  • Improved the user interface in game
  • Changed the default number of rounds of the game to 5 instead of 10
  • Changed the default run length from 180 seconds to 240 seconds
  • Improved the repulsion effect of the repulsive grenade
  • The grenade launcher's repulsive grenades now explode on contact
  • The range of the grenade launcher has been increased
  • Improved the camera zoom when aiming
  • Decreased the number of grenades from 3 to 2
  • Improved management of weapon sounds
  • Disabled motion blur to avoid nausea during long game sessions
  • Improved the game's texture compression method to greatly reduce its weight

  • Fixed an issue that prevented sound settings from saving
  • Fixed a certain type of setting that prevented the game from starting
  • Fixed jump sounds not playing if you jump directly after landing on the ground
  • Fixed a problem that did not display the last player to join the game when he completed the maximum number of players that could join the match
  • Fixed a problem that prevented the player to play in a team when doing a certain manipulation
  • Fixed a problem that prevented the player to play if he joined the game during the preparation phase by joining the props team

PROPHUNT - Patch Notes: Early Access v0.2

Hello everyone, here is the first update to PROPHUNT which fixes a significant number of reported bugs and issues. It also adds some features suggested by the community via the Steam Hub and our Discord server:

[h3]FEATURES[/h3]

  • Added various tips during loading times
  • Dynamic realistic footsteps sounds added
  • Added management of different sounds in game
  • The gravity is 2.8x higher than the old one to be more realistic
  • Improved user interface to make it more readable
  • Added icon showing the key associated with its action
  • Jumps are now much more realistic


[h3]PROPS[/h3]

  • Decrease of the point gain by launching a firework from 50 points to 25
  • Visual and auditory improvement of the fireworks making it much more detectable in space by the hunters
  • Fixed a problem with the display of the point gain UI with the fireworks taunt


[h3]HUNTERS[/h3]

  • Added automatic reloading when the weapon has no bullet left in the magazine
  • The camera movement is now smoother when crouching
  • The camera goes down a little bit when you crouch, allowing you to better see the elements on the ground
  • The magazine disappears during the reloading animation
  • Fixed left hand not resting correctly on the extended weapon
  • The damage when shooting a bad prop is reduced from 5 points of damage to 4
  • Invisible walls no longer stop bullets
  • The FOV when zooming increases from 45 to 55 degrees to avoid nausea when zooming too much

  • We can only see that the people in his team
