Tunguska 2: Whitefall Progress Update, Animation Bug Fix

[p][/p][p][/p][p]Dear Ghoul Hunters (or should I say, future Predators!),[/p][p][/p][p]Hope you had a great summer! I'm very happy to show you some nice update on the development of the sequel :) This summer I worked on building two maps: Iskraprom, the home of Vanguard faction, and West Petrovsky, a very large map of rural land, villages, forests, and water bodies with roads leading to other locations. [/p][p][/p][p]The work included making 29 new tree models and 8 new mesh grasses, all animated to swing back and forth in the wind (finally, no more frozen trees and flat billboard grass!), sculpting the terrains, placing the vegetation and painstakingly hand painting the terrain with texture. The terrain is also capable of gradual transition from normal state to the beautiful Whitefall state, which I took some screenshots of :) [/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p]I'm still only half way done with building West Petrovsky because I realized that I need to make more content to fill up the empty spaces, so it'll take me probably another month to fully finish. [/p][p][/p][p]And then I'll work on character models and hopefully adding ragdoll animation to them.[/p][p][/p][p]Regarding the update 1.94-4 for Tunguska: The Visitation - this update fixes the hand/weapon alignment problem of the playable characters, which was recently brought to my attention.[/p][p][/p][p]I took a lot of screenshots of the completed map area, as well as a video of me running around West Petrovsky, and uploaded to the sequel's Steam page. Update 1.94-3 Patch Notes

This patch fixed a bug with Controller: when using the motorcycle to travel, if the cursor was in the inventory grid and user presses Y button to confirm travel, after loading the game will freeze with a broken UI.

Update 1.94-2 Patch Notes

This is a quick patch to fix a small bug, where the Right Stick dead zone is controlled incorrectly by the Left Stick Deadzone setting instead of the Right Stick Deadzone setting.

Also, to avoid misfiring of right stick signal under certain circumstances, unless the control scheme is set to Controller, the Right Stick input will be ignored.

Tunguska 2: Whitefall Progress Update!

[p]Dear Ghoul Hunters,[/p][p][/p][p]It's been a while! Today I'm bringing to you a small update for Tunguska: The Visitation, along with a dev progress update for Tunguska 2: Whitefall![/p][p][/p][p]First thing first: the small update 1.94-1 consists of 3 new option settings: Left Trigger Deadzone, Right Trigger Deadzone 1, and Right Trigger Deadzone 2. This is to accommodate rare occasions when a controller's triggers are wearing out and can't reach 100% depressed. Especially for the right trigger - when you shoot an automatic weapon, there's a 2-stage trigger action with two deadzone settings. If it's depressed between the two thresholds, the gun doesn't fire but also won't release the current locked target. This is to prevent moving from one target to another unintentionally in-between bursts.[/p][p][/p][p]Now, let's get to the more exciting part! After six months of work, I finished the building models required for the tech demo for Tunguska 2. I'm moving on to sculpting the terrains now, and after that, start coding new features and new UI. The goal is still set to releasing a tech demo in the first half of 2026. [/p][p][/p][p]Let me show you some of the modeling work I have done. Update 1.94 Patch Notes

- When aiming with controller and holding RB (combo) to adjust aim height, the aiming lock-on will be more "sticky" to avoid accidentally losing the target.

- Moved the workbench in Continental Rangers camp so that it can be accessed right away instead of having to wait until their armory is unlocked.

- You can now kill ravens with throwing knife and explosives.

- When talking to Stefan, he will not give player the quest until later when player is more "ready" for it, to avoid confusing and overwhelming the player.

- Fixed some doors that ghouls can clip through.

- The "Hercules" skill perk will now allow throwing knives to be thrown farther

- Fixed the colliders of some thrown items so that they won't clip through the ground

- Fixed an issue with Mortes not placed correctly in the player house display case
