Free Demo Available

Hey everyone

We are happy to announce that our free demo is available. You will be able to build your bot using parts from 2 mecha manufacturers (Pyron and Freezeltronic), choose your upgrades and powerups to build your battle strategy and fight in the arena. In each turn you can use your battery to attack or recover your bot and also you have a chance to defend your bot from enemy´s attack.

This demo should be a sample of what you can expect from the core gameplay and we are developing a roguelike sequence with more robots, upgrades, powerups and arenas to battle.
Tho, it's a beta, a few bugs and issues are likely to show up.
I'll be looking forward to your feedback and impressions!

Enjoy,
MadCat

Roguelike, Steam Next fest 2022 and more!

Hey everyone, we have some exciting news to share.

We are going to join Steam Next Fest June 2022 edition with our demo, which will have a short version of the deckbuilding and fight gameplay. We hope you enjoy and feedbacks are more than welcome.

After doing some alpha play tests, we decided to change the game genre to Roguelike, where the player will be able to explore MegaBattle universe and try to defeat the evil MegaBot. Are you a roguelike fan? If so, what do you expect in a roguelike deckbuilding adventure?

New gameplay, UI, 3D Arts and more! #Devlog 2

Hey everyone!

Here is Thais, I´m MadCat Marketing Director. It´s been a while since we don´t share some news and updates, but there´s been a good reason for it, we´ve been working really hard on developping new game mechanics and improving our artwork/UI.

We change MegaBattle´s gameplay to make it more strategic, fast paced and most important- FUN to play! We also are working on the game´s UI/UX to be able to deliver the new gameplay as simple, elegant and intuitive as possible.

Another important update is that we have a new artist on the team - Raphael - who is doing a beautiful job of transforming our art into 3D. Our dev team has also doing a great job adding some cool effects using AllIn1SpriteShader, o Epic Toon FX and Polygon Arsenal.

Below you can see the WIP of the game´s UI.

Hope you all have a great holiday and see you on 2022 with more news about MegaBattle.

New gameplay coming soon - Devlog #1

Hey everyone!

Here is Leo, I´m MadCat Corp´s game designer and this is our first devlog to share some news about MegaBattle´s development.

MegaBattle was created based on card and deckbuilding players feedbacks (I´m included, as I´m a big fan of this game genre) and also to engage new players. My main inspiration for Megabattle was to create a fast paced gameplay, that combines the strategy of a deckbuilding game and the excitment of a fight game.

To conquer that goal, we have an amazing team, composed by 3 devs (Luis from Cavylabs, Luiza and Alexandre), artwork by Leonardo Amora, UI by Fabrício Mazzoti and marketing by Thais. ːsteamhappyː

We launched on August a pre-alpha release and we got some very good feedback to improve the game. Based on that, we are now working on improving our UI/UX to make it more intuitive and clean, adding some special effects and also developing a new gameplay mode more fun and exciting.
To test the new gameplay, we used Tabletop Simulator as a prototyping tool (as you can see below, looks a little messy, but it helped a lot!!) Now, we are working on developping this new gameplay on Unity and also we´re hiring a tech artist to joint the team.

We believe that we should create games for players and they are an important part of the development process. If you want to be part of our alpha/beta tests and give us your feedback, please reach us on discord: https://discord.gg/XDbax6NTx4

See you next Devlog!
