Development Updates – 01

Officers, 👮‍♂️

2025 is the year of SWAT Commander – it's when we'll finally be ready to launch early access. Stay tuned for announcements about relevant dates concerning the free prologue and the game itself.

In the time leading up to these releases, we want to start posting some more regular development updates here on Steam. We've gone through a few playtests, gathered a lot of feedback, and realizing there's a lot we still needed to do to bring you the best game that we could, introduced lots of different changes and enhancements to SWAT Commander, both visually and gameplay-wise. ⭐

[h3]Automatic area cover[/h3]

SWAT Commander can only benefit from improvements to the officer's AI, so this feature has been one of many aspects we're focusing on. With the officers being more responsive and effective in single-player, it'll obviously be a better experience with the game.

One way we can accomplish this is by having them relocate properly after combat, in accordance with police protocol. Now your squad takes advantageous positions in the room when they're done engaging hostiles. Ones that offer the most protection in case weapons go hot again. 👁️
