CROSS BLITZ [BETA BRANCH] Patch 0.14.14

Thank you all for sharing your feedback on the new Mercenaries update, we’ve prepared a patch for the Beta Branch that fixes the following bugs:

  • Fixed a bug that caused the modifier tooltip to not go away on the deck results screen.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a x2 label to appear for discard modifiers.
  • Fixed Ember Egg's localized ability.
  • Fixed a bug that caused famished fish to only spawn 1 bubble effect from the first devour target.
  • Fixed a bug that kept the Shield Icon visible after breaking all armor on a hero.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the battle rewards to load slowly.
  • Fixed a bug that caused mercenary dialogue to have a dark alpha over its text when leveling up.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Runewood Staff to keep adding Thorns every aura check.
  • Fixed a bug that caused FPS spikes.
  • Faster reload times for puzzles!
  • Katana cards removed from the Chaotic Cauldron pool.
  • Fixed a bug that wouldn't show Cauldron Spells from the opponent when cast.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Rush minions to freeze the game if played on 2x speed.
  • Fixed a bug that caused swordmaster effects to not trigger.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some summon effects to not play correctly.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the summoning sickness overlay to go very dark.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Juniper to attack twice (visual bug)
  • Fixed a bug that caused Devoted Deckhand to not summon when devoured from deck.
Known Issues
  • In Chinese: Missing translation of Mercenaries' name upon unlocking them in the Tavern.
  • The Bazaar's name isn't translated in Chinese
  • Re-roll event still available with no item left, in the Bazaar.

CROSS BLITZ: UPDATED ROADMAP

Ahoy Mateys! ✨🏴‍☠️️

Two weeks ago, we released the Sproutwood update, allowing you to explore a brand-new region, play with 50+ new cards, discover puzzles, and get new unlockables at the Bazaar!
And, as we progress through the Early Access, it’s time to update you on the future of Cross Blitz and give you a better overview of what to expect for 2025!

[h3]Why update the current roadmap?[/h3]
With the Early Access journey progressing towards its 1.0 release, we’re very driven to provide you with the most polished gaming experience once the game officially launches.

Having smaller but more frequent updates allows the devs to have more time to adjust the game according to the Beta feedback, thus offering a better experience once it releases on the live Branch!

[h3]What can we expect for the rest of the year?[/h3]

As you can see, Q2 will mainly focus on Tusk Tales by bringing you 5 new playable mercenaries, 40+ new cards, new unlockables in the Bazaar, and also… brand-new unlockable alternate Blitz Bursts!

With the upcoming updates, you might also see the mysterious “???” in the selection mode disappear — this was meant to tease a PVP mode that we had hoped to implement. However, as development progressed, both Fables and Tusk Tales ballooned into much more expansive game modes than we had originally anticipated. Numerous design decisions were made to improve the single-player experience, as we worked to make it as fun and content-rich as we could. As a result, it became clear to us that implementing a fully fleshed-out, well-balanced PVP mode would require heavily adjusting various elements and game mechanics that contribute to both the fun and identity of the current game modes. With that in mind, we came to the decision to fully commit to focusing on the single-player experience, and deliver to you the most polished version we can for Cross Blitz’ 1.0 release!

CROSS BLITZ: SPROUTWOOD UPDATE LIVE

The “Sproutwood” Update is now available for all!
In this update you will discover a brand-new region, play with new cards, solve new puzzles and more!

[h3]Changes[/h3]
  • The 4th Tusk Tales region, Sproutwood, is now playable. It contains all new battles, 3 bosses, new puzzle battles, new landmarks, new relics, new trinkets, and new cards.
  • Added Scrap Bin to as a Tavern relic unlock for Gizmo.
  • Added General's Tricorne as a Tavern relic unlock for Musket.
  • Added Serpent Sigil as a Tavern relic unlock for Rez.
  • Added Sporebrew Venom as a Tavern relic unlock for Lt Juniper.
  • Gizmo's tavern recruit Duplitron has been replaced with Booster Bot. Try this new minion out to access a new subarchetype of Golem minions focused on Rocket cards.
  • New relics unlockable through Bounties in Sproutwood: Runewood Staff, Vital Edge, Vileblood Charm, Savage Collar, Grime Goo, Wildfire Lantern
  • New trinkets unlockable through Bounties in Sproutwood: Dread Notes, Mana Sap, Timber Plum
  • Added Mushmucker Cauldron and Rocket Attachments to The Bazaar as purchasable relics.
  • Added new Card Backs purchasable in The Bazaar.
  • Updated the Compendium to show ALL trinkets and relics. Relics the player hasn't unlocked will be indicated with a lock icon.
  • Improvements to card and relic spawn conditions. Card choices should be more focused on the deck the player is building, with lower chances of "dud" offerings.
  • 6 new masks have been added. 3 are available for selection in Sproutwood's mask menu, 1 is available through a landmark choice in Sproutwood, and an additional 2 can be found in Hollows Runs.
  • Minor tweaks on a handful of past Tusk Tales fights: Added Mossmuncher to older Shrubasaur decks for better theming and balance. Removed Demon Pact from Dungeon Keeper (Deadly). Adjusted Trinkets for Lobmasu's boss fight.
  • Adjusted Guard Igre and Guard Riv fights in Chapter 2 of Quill Fable slightly, to rebalance now that several cards in those decks have received buffs over the last few patches.
