We’ve got good news for many of our non-English-speaking players!

From Monday, June 9th to Monday, June 16th, the demo will be available in the following languages:

We sincerely apologize to our Japanese and Chinese-speaking players for not having these localisations ready in time for the demo. They will, however, be available in the full game at launch.

Additionally, we’d like to extend our apologies to players whose languages are not supported. We truly hope you’ll still be able to enjoy Hell is Us despite this, and we deeply appreciate your interest and support.

Hi everyone,

We’re aware of an issue that can cause the game to crash during the introduction cinematic.

This problem appears to (still under investigation) affect NVIDIA 4000 and 5000 series cards.


We’re actively working on a patch to resolve this and aim to release it as soon as possible.



If you’re encountering this issue, please follow these steps:

Reduce your graphics setting before from the main menu.
Deactivate all the graphics settings below :

Once the cinematic is over and you’re in control of your character, Rémi, you can safely raise the graphics settings again.

This should prevent the crash from occurring during the rest of the demo.

Launch the Steam app on your PC or visit store.steampowered.com in your browser.

[h3]Search for Hell is Us [/h3]
In the search bar (top-right corner), type "Hell is Us" and click on the correct store page. Go to the full game page, do not look for a Demo page.

[h3]Click "Download Demo"[/h3]
If the demo is available, you’ll see a "Download Demo" button just below the main game trailer or on the right-hand side of the page. Click it!

[h3]Install the Demo[/h3]
Steam will begin downloading the demo. Once the installation is complete, it will appear in your Library under “Hell is Us Demo”.
