Demo update #1

Hello again!

It's been so exciting to see people play and enjoy our demo so far. We've gotten some great feedback already and are listening eagerly to what you have to say about it!

We've been working on fixes, improvements and even some small new features since we set the demo live at the beginning of Steam Next Fest on last Monday. We have already put out a couple of updates silently, the latest of which was today, just moments ago. We thought we'd like to give you an update on what we've changed so far. Here's a list of all the important stuff that's changed in the demo since its release:

  • Added a setting: Show outlines around players.
  • Added a setting: Pause the game while viewing the map.
  • Added a setting: Pause the game when the window loses focus.
  • Added a setting: Choose whether you want to aim your dash with movement or aiming input.
  • Made ammo boxes appear during the final boss every now and then.
  • Added more sounds effects.
  • Added links to feedback forums and Steam page to some menus.
  • Fixed a few crashes (all that we're aware of! please let us know if you find more!)
  • Fixed all sorts of glitchiness with the final boss death sequence.
  • Fixed the Spectral Barrel trinket not working as intended.
  • Fixed there being way too many ammo pickups sometimes.
  • + A bunch of miscellaneous tiny tweaks and fixes!

We'll keep updating the demo especially to fix crashes and bugs. If you find any such issues or would just like to tell us what you think of the demo, don't hesitate to write on our Steam discussion forums or tweet/DM us on Twitter.

Demo out now!

Hey everyone!

We're super excited to let you try out our game for the very first time!

In this demo you get to play the first two levels: Ant Hill and Wetlands, both filled with unique items, enemies, and locations. If you manage to beat the two levels, you get to challenge the final boss of the demo. You might not make it to the end on your first try, but you get to unlock permanent upgrades between runs to make you stronger.

When the full game is released, you get to see the rest of the levels, bosses, items and all the other cool stuff!

We hope you have fun with the demo!
