After learning that Steam cloud saves can sometimes go wrong, the game now creates local backups as well. The next time you save a file, local backups will be created in the Backups_Local folder. They can be accessed via %LOCALAPPDATA%\ResearchStory\Backups_Local. Older saves prior to this update do not have local backups.
