Emergency Patch 228

Fixed bug where save files have been growing over time after finishing the Sprout the farmer part of the Rum Runner Quest.

This caused hourly saves and save exits to be very slow over time as the save continued to grow in size. When a save is loaded this fix will clean out the bad data on Sprouts inventory and stop the extra inventory item (friendship braclets) from being added again over and over.

Sorry for those that have been affected and big thanks to Justin (FFC) for finding this issue.

Patch 227

Ensure character doesn't face us when delivering an item, while they're sitting or being in a ride

Fix for Farmer blouse removing the pelvis when worn by itself.

Fix for characters in tents that would not leave their tent if they got the come visit me in my house quest.

Fix for kicking out characters but we did not store quests for them that you had completed causing some issues like if they had done the rum runner quest it would repeat with the new tavern owner. We now store all the quests separately so we can track what quests where completed even if that character is no longer in the game or town.

Remove duplicate rum runner quests.

Fixing new bakery items not being placeable

Added check on Copperbottom story mission to see if they've finished Renards Pirate mission first.

Fixed issue with carts and fish ride resource nodes not having any hit animations.

Stopped Critters from following player around if they reject a home invite request.

Fixed issue with being able to give Critters Friendship Bracelets before they ask for them.

Added map tracking for Farmers after you've completed a quest for them.

Fixed a bug where a corrupted save file would prevent the load screen from working.

Fixed a bug where we would get duplicate stranded npc scenarios and leave an extra npc in the game that appears stuck ie ignores you while talking with them after storms.

Fixed issue with a crash or disappearing stranded scenario npcs if you are talking to them while a storm ends.

Fixed issue with decoration which let you place down some items but did not remove them from inventory.

Uncover The Secrets of Critter Cove in The Enchanted Islands Update - Live Now

[p]Ahoy! We’ve launched the Enchanted Islands Update, our biggest single update of Critter Cove since we entered into Early Access last year and an expansion of the playable area of the game by nearly a third![/p][p]The update features multiple new islands, new quests, the next town rank, and a new museum upgrade. Of course, there are also loads of new customization items, decorations to craft and critters to recruit.[/p][p][/p][p]Accessing the New Islands[/p][p]If you’ve been with us from the very start and you’re anxious for new stuff to do, some content is available right away; but to really open up what the new islands have to offer, you’ll need to visit your tavern keeper to get the “Rum Running For Ruckus Juice” quest which will get you out and exploring the new biome and characters. [/p][p]If you’re just starting out on The Cove, don’t worry, this new content will blend right in![/p][p]And if you’re still debating whether or not to take the plunge and join us on the island, there’s more great news: we’re 30% off in the Summer Sale starting today![/p][p]More information below... but before you read on, a quick reminder if you haven't already to join us on Discord and Bluesky![/p][p][/p]
New Locations
[p]Sail north from town and you’ll find yourself in a mysterious island chain that looks very different from the places you’ve explored so far.[/p][p]These islands are both larger and more mysterious than the islands closer to Critter Cove, places where relics from the time before are much more visible from between the leaves of exotic flora.[/p][p]And new islands also mean more ocean to sail through, so we’ve also added new caves and a bunch of underwater areas awaiting exploration.

[/p]
New Town Rank
[p]Keeping your tourist upgrades maxed out will allow you to bring a bakery and a gym to Critter Cove, offering both new food to enjoy… and new ways to work it off![/p][p]You’ll need to find townies to take up the roles of Bakery Owner and Gym Manager, and both buildings can help increase your tourist satisfaction too.

[/p]
Farmer’s Market
[p]A new market stand you’ll find in the world will sell you brand new furniture items and new seeds for crops. There’s just one small problem – they might not be too eager to accept your doubloons! Perhaps there’s something else you’ll be able to offer in trade?
[/p]
Treasure Hunting & Museum Upgrade
[p]Spend some time hunting for resources for the museum and you’ll be able to build a brand new wing, just in time to fill it with all the treasures you’ll find that are scattered not only in the new areas but all around the existing world. [/p][p]Those treasures can take the forms of items, fossils, gold plates, and even … ducks, so don’t forget your shovel, and your new wetsuit!
[/p]
New Quests
[p]Dive into some of Copperbottom’s backstory, meet new characters who have made the enchanted biome their home, and learn from long-abandoned ruins how to craft working carnival rides! We’ve added tons of quests, big and small to enjoy as you explore the new biome.[/p][p]We’ve also added plenty of brand new Critters to join your town and some new scenarios to make recruiting them for your adventures more varied.[/p][p]
[/p]
Furniture, Crafting and Customization Upgrades
[p]Many crafting machines can now be upgraded to level 3, and with those upgrades, there are also new decoration items, tools and crops to discover. [/p][p]We’ve also been expanding the interior options since our housing update last month, so you’ll be able to create a Country and Bath set to add some class to your surroundings.[/p][p]But what’s the point in exploring if you can’t do it in style? We’ve also added a bunch of new style variants, hairstyles, tails and some new clothing items. And for those of you who’ve been waiting for “Chompy” the robotic dinosaur… he’s there waiting for you to learn how to craft him…
[/p]
Plunger Launcher
[p]Lastly, if you’ve been wondering what to do with all those plungers you’ve found during your explorations, this release has the answer. The one… the only… plunger gun! No spoilers, you’ll have to find the recipe on your own, but this little baby will allow you to collect treasures that are out of reach without it.
[/p]
Been Gone A While?
[p]Haven’t played since launch? Firstly, welcome back! Here’s a few more updates we’ve released since Critter Cove launched into Early Access, big and small:[/p]
