Hey everyone!
Thank you for all the feedback that you keep sharing with us on Steam forums, our official Discord, and directly. Early Access of Project Warlock II has only just started but
our team is hard at work on Chapter 2 and improving the game overall.
Before the release, we’ve spent over six months playtesting Project Warlock II with both internal and external QA teams, Kickstarter backers, and selected Discord users. The Early Access launch has brought
an influx of a completely fresh perspective on the game with your forum comments, Discord messages, and over 150 Steam reviews. Some of them were pretty detailed and probably most helpful in identifying issues to address. We’re grateful for each and every piece of feedback that you decided to share, and please keep it coming!
While we’re pretty sure we won’t be able to satisfy everyone as opinions always differ, just like some like DOOM more than Quake, and otherwise. Still,
our main goal right now is to find the right balance between the new ideas, building upon the original game, and addressing some of your most voiced requests for changes.
With that in mind, we want to share with you
our 2022 roadmap for the game:

We want to complete this roadmap by the end of the year, updating it as we go and then providing the next one. At the same time, we’re keeping room for potential patches, fixes, and updates that might be needed along the way. We already
had our first two patches released, adding a highly requested reload option, nerfing down the Necrogirl, and adding various visual and gameplay fixes, and with lots more to come.
We’d also like you to know what you can expect from the game content-wise.
A Single Stage option, as well as two additional difficulty levels, will be introduced in the near future. Weapons rebalancing and modifications are to follow. These will offer deeper customization options for the guns allowing you to upgrade your favorite tools of destruction further.
Given the nature of Early Access,
almost every aspect of the game can be subject to change or at least a deeper discussion between you and the developers. We want to run the most significant and impactful changes through you. Soon you’ll be able to access and comment on beta branch builds with experimental versions of changes like the overhauled weapons system, new Single Stage mode, and Photo Mode. Follow our channels for updates on when these will become available.
A lot of stuff is happening, and the whole team is very happy and motivated by your reception, even if a bit tired with the amount of work. Still, one of the highlights of recent weeks was
the endorsement we got from our personal hero, one of the creators of DOOM, John Romero himself.
