Watch the dev play Project Warlock II demo!

Hey everyone!

A couple of weeks ago we announced that Project Warlock II will be featured on Steam Next Fest alongside hundreds of other exciting games…

And that day has come, and we have so much cool stuff in store for you! So get your weapons loaded and get ready so send some demons back to hell!

Last week we released an updated demo packed with new features!

Have you ever wondered how awesome it would be to slay some demons with a Laser Rifle??? How about TWO Laser Rifles???!!!

We’ve added an upgrade station to the demo level, which allows you to upgrade various weapons. For example, you can upgrade the Assault Rifle to a Laser Rifle, and combine it with Akimbo for ultimate carnage!

Apart from that, we have added 2 sliders to visual settings, so you can configure the graphics to your liking.

Another brand new feature is a combo counter that measures your demonslaying skills. Wanna get a bit competitive? Share your highest score on the Discord!

Apart from the updated demo we’ve prepared something else!

During Steam Next Fest you will be able to watch Kuba from Buckshot Software play the demo and share his stories about his work on Project Warlock II. The show starts at 9:00 PM CEST / 12:00 PM PT on October 1st!

We can’t wait to see you there and play our demo and also hear your feedback. Don’t hesitate to share your opinion on the Community Hub forum or on our Discord!

That would be it for now. Stay on the lookout for more news about Project Warlock II. In the meantime enjoy the Steam Next Fest and squeeze as much as you can from the demo!

Project Warlock II Kickstarter update

With just 5 days left, the Project Warlock II Kickstarter campaign is entering its final phase. We thought it would be a perfect moment to update you on the progress the backers have made so far. And maybe you'll find something to your liking as well.

In the last 3 weeks, more than 830 backers pledged over €26.000. We would like to thank all the backers for their immense support and love for our game.

This is the last week of the campaign, so if you would like to join us on this wonderful journey head to:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/project-warlock-2/project-warlock-2

Backers who support the game can get the "Backer" role on the Retrovibe Discord channel, Digital Early Access key for Steam, and - depending on the pledge level - can also receive additional items, such as: a boxed version of Project Warlock II.

Right now 175 copies of the physical Project Warlock II found their owners, which means that the €50 Flap Box will contain additional items such as:
- a thicker manual,
- a sticker,
- a 32 page colour artbook,
- a collector’s pin,
- an 8GB Laser Rifle Pendrive

Now the item that's still waiting to be unlocked is the Steel Book that needs 20 extra copies of the Boxed Edition sold. And this is what it looks like from up close.

On top of the unlocked contents of the Box Edition of Project Warlock II there's also a couple of items you can order separately.

The three available are:

- A Project Warlock II themed mousepad

- A Project Warlock II Hardcover Artbook

- A terrifying Shambler

Apart from physical rewards, we invite the most generous backers to help us design various elements of the game, such as spells, guns, monsters, and even a Warlock and a level in the PWII. Those rewards are limited, and some of them are no longer available (shoutout to those who decided to show such an immense amount of support!).

So what can you design in Project Warlock II?

How about one of the spells in the game?

Not really in the mood? Prefer to have a hand in creating something more substantial? How about...

Now let’s talk about stretch goals we’ve set to show our appreciation to all of you, and we decided to add new features to Project Warlock II with each goal.

At €10.000 the Extra Narrative Illustrations reward was unlocked, meaning that you will see additional inter-mission artwork during your playthroughs.

At €20.000 Alternate Weapon Skins for the Warlocks’ arsenal were unlocked. This will give you a chance to swap around weapon skins and make every playthrough feel a little bit different.

At €25.000 you unlocked Enemy Boss Voice Overs, which will add an extra depth of immersion to our game. We already have amazing ideas, and we can’t wait to get to work on the voicelines!

As for further goals we have Photo Mode, Extra Enemy Variants and Arena Mode as well.

We would, once again, like to thank all of the backers for the support, and the trust placed in us. The work on the game is well underway and we hope that you will love the game once it launches. The Kickstarter campaign might be coming to an end, but it’s only the beginning for Project Warlock II.

Updated demo ver 0.1.5.15 out now

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback on the demo! You spoke, we frowned, we wanted to say "why don't you make your own game then", we recovered, gave it some extra thought and conceded you were right. So: here's what's going to change as of this update. Some nicely illustrated highlights first, and the full changelog right after that.

We decided to open the curtains up a bit, as it's really dark in here, boy

And let's set you up with some nice, atmospheric fog for good measure

Problems with directions? Let's drop some more hints right there on the map then

There's now these little terminals that provide hints when you approach them

The hints in all their raw glory

Full Demo 0.1.5.15 changelog below:

- Added safety feature - the game will no longer freeze if the game does not have access to save/load folder. Instead, an error dialog will show up. The issue still might occur if the access to complete "Project Warlock 2" folder is read-only - we are still working on the issue

- Added additional Ammo Packs to early part of the level
- Added sword pickup to the secret passage at start of the level

Project Warlock II demo available now

Two years of development. Total revamp of physics, visuals, level architecture, sound, music, enemy design, enemy fear, arsenal, spells systems, types of secret…

Yeah, Project Warlock II has gone a long way.

We are committed to bringing you the best game we can and the most open way about this is to simply have a demo available for you. Today.

We can elaborate on each and every aspect, but there's probably only one question you really want answered: how does it play?

Well - you better see for yourself.
