🚧 New Patch Coming Soon! Thank You for All the Support! 🚧
Hey Chinese Frontiers players! 🐉🌾
[p][/p][p]First of all — THANK YOU!

We’re incredibly grateful for how active you’ve been — here on Steam, in the comments, in reviews, on Discord, and even under YouTube videos. Thanks to your feedback, we’ve got a clear picture of what needs fixing, and we’re working hard to improve the game. 💪
[/p][p]Even more exciting — after the first patch, our Steam rating has crossed 70%, and we’re now officially “Mostly Positive”! 🎉
This means the world to us — and it’s all thanks to you. Whether you left a positive or negative review, every one of them is valuable to us.[/p][p][/p][p]Special thanks go out to those of you who stuck with us despite the bugs, kept playing, and supported us with constructive feedback 🙏
And to those who changed their reviews to positive after the patch — it truly means a lot. We’re a small indie team, this is our first game ever, and your encouragement gives us so much energy to keep going. ❤️[/p][p][/p][p]We’re really happy with the response to the first patch released last week, but we’re not done yet — we’re already hard at work on the next patch, and we hope it’ll make the game even better.[/p][p][/p][p]We hoped to finish it by the end of this week, but we need a little more time. Chinese Frontiers is a pretty large project, and before we roll things out, we want everything tested and polished.[/p][p][/p][p]We’re currently working on fixes and improvements in areas like:[/p]
 • [p]Quest Progression[/p]
 • [p]Game Balance[/p]
 • [p]Village Management[/p]
 • [p]A few smaller bugs[/p]
 • [p]Audio Fixes[/p]
[p]Once the patch is ready, as always, we’ll share the full changelog with you. We aim to release it by the end of next week at the latest.[/p][p][/p][p]In the meantime, we hope you’re having a great time exploring medieval China! 🌄 According to Steam stats, you sure are — average playtime is almost 12 hours (median 5h), and one player has already hit 246h! Droide_stiehler — we see you! 🔥[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks again for being such an amazing community. We’ll keep working — and we wish you a fantastic weekend with Chinese Frontiers![/p][p]– The Chinese Frontiers Team 🙌[/p]

The monuments and areas of Chinese Frontiers 🏯⛰️

[p][/p][p][/p]
🌞 Hello Builders,
[p][/p][p]First of all, we’d like to thank you all for sharing your invaluable feedback. Our goal is to make Chinese Frontiers the best game we possibly can. We’ve just released a new patch for the game with numerous fixes and improvements. You can check out the full changelog HERE. Also, if you have any more tips for us, don’t hesitate to share them in the comments![/p][p][/p][p]While we’re working on more updates, we’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit more about the different areas you’ll explore and the monuments you’ll raise throughout the game.[/p][p][/p][p]After meeting Jun and Mei and completing the introductory section in the village, your journey will take you to the far corners of China, where you’ll construct increasingly advanced monuments. Not only to progress as a builder, but more importantly, to ensure the safety and prosperity of the people you care about.[/p][p][/p][p]The monuments in the game are either based on real-world structures or inspired by similar constructions, and they also vary in complexity.[/p][p][/p]
🏯 The simplest monument consists of 51 stages and requires 479 elements, while the most complex takes a whopping 268 stages and 1 336 elements to complete! 🏯
[p][/p]
Based on the descriptions below, can you guess which one is the least and which is the most complex?
[p]
[/p]
The Mountain Area
[p]In this area you’ll raise the Beacon Tower and the Sky Stairs part of the Great Wall.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Beacon Tower [/p][p]Signal towers along the Great Wall, like those at Badaling, were essential for communication via smoke and fire. Strategically placed, these austere watchtowers offered panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and winding wall segments. This tower is built on the highest point of the map, symbolizing the start of your great construction journey during the Ming Dynasty. Completing this mission unlocks the next chapter in the desert region of Gansu.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Sky Stairs [/p][p]Based on the steep and dramatic Jiankou section of the Wall, the Sky Stairs climb a near-vertical slope. This mission highlights the intensity and emotion of building in extreme conditions. It is one of three missions in the second act of the main campaign, where adapting your construction to a cliffside becomes the central challenge.[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p]
The Desert Area
[p]Here you’ll raise the Frontier Fortress and Desert Outpost. [/p][p][/p][p]Frontier Fortress [/p][p]Inspired by Jiayuguan Fort, the final stronghold of the Great Wall, this massive, symmetrical structure sits atop the main gate and towers above the harsh desert. Its ornate, painted architecture contrasts with the raw surroundings, evoking power and military authority. Completing it sets the stage for your next and most technically challenging task: the Nine Arch Bridge.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Desert Outpost[/p][p]These signal posts and settlements used basic materials like clay and wood. The patchwork construction includes a tower, warehouse, hut, and living space. Its remote location reflects the mission’s survival focus, set in an unforgiving desert environment. It is the most atmospheric desert setting and one of three missions in the second act of the main campaign.[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p]
The River Area
[p]In this area you’ll first construct the Nine Arch Bridge and later on the Bell Tower.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Nine Arch Bridge [/p][p]Built during the Ming Dynasty, this is the only part of the Wall crossing the Jiujiang River. The bridge’s arches reflect in the water, blending beauty with technical difficulty. You'll need focus and precision to complete the final pylon and install the massive mechanism controlling the bridge’s floodgates. The challenge is high, but so are the rewards.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Bell Tower [/p][p]Bell and drum towers regulated city life and were part of ancient warning systems. While such towers didn’t exist in Jiumenkou, ours is inspired by the grand Drum and Bell Towers in Beijing. The monumental scale and rich decoration reflect its prestige. It overlooks a fully designed guard city, with narrow alleys inspired by ancient Pingyao. The mission ends with a cinematic that shows the tower in all its glory. This is one of three missions in the second act of the main campaign.[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p][p]As you can see, the game has a variety of places to explore, and we intend to keep updating it more! Thank you once more for your feedback.[/p]

[p]Only until July 3rd, you can get Chinese Frontiers with a 20% launch discount![/p]
Patch 1.02 | Fixes, Balancing, and the Road Ahead

[p][/p]
Hello, Builders!
[p][/p][p]Since launch, we’ve been overwhelmed by your support, feedback, and bug reports - thank you for being so active and involved. It means the world to us.[/p][p]We might be a small team, but we're listening closely and working hard to improve Chinese Frontiers with every patch. Today, we’re rolling out Update 1.02, which brings a wide range of bug fixes, quality-of-life changes, and balance tweaks across farming, gathering, crafting, and quest progression.[/p][p]Let’s take a look at what’s new!

[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]
Polished and Patched
[p]This update addresses some of the more disruptive bugs we’ve seen reported. From syncing issues in cutscenes to rice field snapping, cave resource issues, and visual glitches - many of these problems should now be behind us.[/p][p]We’ve also made fixes to desert foliage, collision issues, and a few quest blockers that were holding back progress. If you ran into a bug while farming or noticed missing textures in monuments - those should be sorted now.[/p][p][/p]
Farming Reworked
[p]We heard you loud and clear - plant growth was too fast and rewards too random. With Patch 1.02, crop growth times have been rebalanced for a more natural pace, and drop rates have been increased across the board. You’ll also start finding seeds more often when gathering plants – helping you plan ahead.[/p][p][/p]
Village Life Improvements
[p]Your villagers are smarter now, too! They’ll gather more per tool and prioritize the most caloric food when eating. We’ve also made some changes to how fishing rods are used in storage and adjusted how resources stack.[/p][p][/p]
Quest and Journal
[p]Dozens of quests received updated objectives, fixed VO/texts, or adjusted NPC positions for better visibility.
