FEROCIOUS Devlog#03: Weapon Categories & Arsenal

Hey everyone, welcome back to FEROCIOUS updates. Today we will talk about the game weapons, how to better use them, obtain them and the situation you will find yourself in while playing. Whether you're up against mercenaries, dinosaurs, or both, the right weapon is the key to survival.
Weapon Categories & Arsenal
We have 12 weapons (+1 planned) across several categories:
 • Pistols: 9mm Handgun, Desert Eagle
 • SMGs & PDWs: MP5, MP7, P90
 • Assault Rifles: AK, M4, AUG
 • Shotguns: Remington 870, KSG
 • Heavy Weapons: Hecate 2 Sniper Rifle, Flamethrower, (plus a planned Minigun)

Each weapon has its place and its role. Here’s a deeper look at the weaponry:
9mm Handgun
Capacity: 12+1
A fast, reliable sidearm that will stop unarmored targets. It's solid for quick, close engagements, but over time, it will degrade, so keep an eye on its condition. Ideal for your first fights, but in the long run you’ll want something that packs a stronger “punch”.
Desert Eagle (.50 AE)
Capacity: 7+1
The Deagle is big, heavy, and packs the one hell of a punch we were looking for above. It’s excellent for armored enemies, but the recoil can be tricky. You’ll need to use it carefully, as this isn't a weapon for spraying. Use it when you need raw damage, but be ready for the slow reload and the kickback.
MP5
Capacity: 30+1
A versatile SMG with low recoil and a high rate of fire. It's great for close-quarters, especially when you need to clear out a room fast. It can hold its own in mid-range fights too, though you’ll feel the limitations of range. But when you're up close, it's a blast.
P90
Capacity: 50+1
The P90’s massive magazine and rapid-fire make it an absolute beast in CQB. It’s great for cutting through hordes of unarmored enemies or soft targets. However, be mindful: it's not the easiest to maintain, and it wears down quickly. You’ll need to keep it clean, or it'll fail you when you need it most.
Assault Rifles (AK)
Capacity: 30+1
The AK is a true workhorse. It’s reliable, powerful, and one of the best for combat situations across the board. The 7.62 rounds tear through most armor and wildlife, making it a top pick for versatility. But, the high recoil can make it tricky to control, especially during rapid fire, so you’ll need to learn to manage it.
M4 (MMK4)
Capacity: 30+1
The M4 is easier to control than the AK with its 5.56mm round. It has better accuracy and handles recoil better, but at the cost of stopping power. It’s still a very solid rifle, but it can jam more often than the AK. This one's a good choice if you need something balanced for all kinds of fights.
AUG (Bullpup)
Capacity: 30+1
A bullpup design that offers the best of both worlds: SMG-like mobility with rifle-like power. Medium recoil and great hip-fire accuracy make it a fantastic weapon for dynamic combat. It’s not as hard-hitting as the AK, but it’s much easier to maneuver.
MP7
Capacity: 20+1
The MP7 is small but mighty, perfect as a secondary weapon. With a high rate of fire, it's great for shredding through enemies. It’s particularly useful against armored foes, but the small caliber won’t deal huge damages. Instead, it’s about getting the job done in high-speed situations.
Hecate 2 (.50 BMG Sniper Rifle)
Capacity: 5+1
This sniper is built for heavy-duty, long-range engagements. The .50 caliber rounds are extremely powerful and can penetrate nearly anything. It’s not the fastest rifle to operate, but if you want to hit hard and take out targets from a distance, this is your weapon. Remember, though: it’s slow to reload and extremely heavy.
Remington 870 (Pump Action Shotgun)
Capacity: 5+1
This classic pump-action shotgun is perfect for close combat. It’s simple but packs serious stopping power. Against unarmored targets, it can clear rooms quickly, and the ability to tear through limbs makes it an excellent choice for “wild life” defense. It does have a limited capacity and can jam from time to time, but it's easy to fix.
KSG (Double Barrel Shotgun)
Capacity: 16+2
When you're facing something bigger, like dinosaurs, the KSG is your go-to. It’s been modified for heavy duty, dealing out two barrels at once with insane stopping power. It's great for clearing tight spaces, especially with its higher capacity. Just be aware: it's expensive and tricky to maintain.
Flamethrower
Five words: Burns everything into a crisp!

That’s all for today, but come back next week for a new devlog on how to modify, take care and upgrade your weapons! See ya!
