1.0 Update 18 Hotfix 1 (v1.0.46)

Fixed Ignite's keyword description not stating it halves healing.

Fixed Overtime's keyword description still saying it increased Damage and Speed rather than Amp.

Fixed Xanatos' encounter generation logic trying to put Runes on Zombies, which can't be equipped.

Fixed minor UI display issue when Army stats gameplay option is on, and the combatant you are facing has the maximum amount of text.

Fixed a hitch at the end of a run, when going from the Unlocks panel, back to the end of run screen.

Excluded dice number faces from being affected by low graphics settings, so they remain clearly visible and not blurred.

When the stat card is currently up for an Elemental, and then the Elemental red number trait effect kicks in, the stat card will update the red value instead of needing to be closed and reopened to see the change.

Fixed Morphling causing certain configuration checks to fail (such as Singrim's Hyperfocus perk, if it was the unit causing a Stage 2 trait to activate)

Fixed Skill Passive effects being retained when equipping a Skillbook.

Fixed a minor UI issue at end of run screen where the 'Total Mastery' label faded in twice

When facing the Arbiter, Trait icons in the sidebars will have an icon over them helping to remind that no trait effects are active.

The Arbiter can no longer appear in a Devil's Deal combat.

Fixed an issue where Bosses could preemptively be banished when encountering certain combats.

Fixed outdated text descriptions in some cases.

Fixed an issue where the Bounty requiring victory with a Trait wasn't tracking victories with Stage II of a Trait.

Fixed an issue where Kalandre's Mirror didn't function.

Fixed an issue where a Tier 4 Morphling imitating a unit would banish it from the pool.

Fixed an issue where units could gain 100 Armor in rare cases.

Fixed an issue where Deshret couldn't cast on allies.

Fixed an issue where Gourmand could sometimes (rarely) not trigger on-cast effects like Leechknife sheathe.

When opening the Unlocks screen for the first time, this panel now initializes asyncronously with a 'Loading Unlocks...' text while the panel loads. The Unlocks panel is somewhat expensive to load compared to other panels, and one user reported having crash issues when trying to do so on a lower spec machine. It will be barely noticeable on higher end machines, less than a second before the panel loads.

Colossal Heart now adds a little visual indicator on the army size UI to remind that one of the slots has been occupied by the Heart holder.

Fixed Trait and Unit contracts sometimes losing which Trait or Unit they were connected to on the backend when loading a run, which would cause them to become uncompletable.

Fixed minor UI issue where the current Level could not updated upon levelling.

Removed the "unlock 5 game modifiers" achievement as we don't really clearly have game modifiers any more.

Fixed an exploit related to Abandon Ship

Fixed an issue where it was impossible to buy free items from Special Shops with negative gold.

Fixed various text issues.

Fixed an issue where the Giving and Receiving Rings had no effects on enemy units.

The Flamemark now has its own Potion Slot rather than needing to open the Inventory Bag each time it's used.

Fixed an issue where Stalkers weren't receiving effects from Blood or Ritual triggers.

Fixed an issue where units right clicked in the Unit Store could appear to have Cost Reduction they didn't actually have.

1.0 Update 18 (v1.0.45P)

Fixed an extremely esoteric issue that could, in certain cases, cause units on your bench to disappear when using the Spirit trait, Baa'lor, Star Crown or Cloning Capsule content.

Fixed an exploit where it was possible to use Fish Rolls an unlimited amount of times if the player's Pale Hearts were already full.

Fixed an exploit where it was possible to duplicate items when putting a Marksman War Banner on the Marksman Dummy.

Fixed an issue where Chester could give you the enemy's Runes in high Challenge Climb play.

Fixed an issue where the cursor wasn't responding to gameplay, such as hovering or grabbing Units.

Fixed an issue where the Bug swarm wouldn't move more than once in a combat. In addition, fixed a different issue where the Bug swarm wouldn't move at all in certain runs.

Fixed Slogurk's passive being shown as {slogurkpassive} in the Compendium

Added missing tooltips for Item section filters in Compendium

Fixed an issue where the end of combat Hearts display could become desynced from the actual owned Hearts and Pale Hearts.

Tentatively fixed an issue where a Devil's Deal reward could be for a Trait other than the one displayed.

Fixed an issue where, in some cases, Item Icons would become larger than intended on a unit's health bar.

Fixed several issues where Oogoo could fail to attack or attach to certain other units.

Tentatively fixed an issue that could cause units to become idle indefinitely.

Fixed a niche issue involving merging Morphlings, none of whom are not copying another unit.

Fixed a minor UI issue in the main menu after pressing Esc to clear all menus.

Fixed Airship-enabled runs not saving the Act 2 name to the Run History

Fixed several Run History issues related to PVP runs (custom Run History settings for PVP were never getting enabled)

Fixed a Run History display issue when switching between PVE and PVP runs

Fixed PVP Potion Partier not declaring the +2 Mana Regen effect in the description.

Fixed a number of issues related to detecting Potions, which included temporary potions not being destroyed (again)

Fixed Willow's skill spawning its hitbox on Willow's current target's location rather than Willow's location. Also fixed Willow's skill VFX clipping a little into the ground

Fixed another case of being able to enter into a bad PVP state (no combatant selected)

Fixed Airship UI getting stuck on when returning to the main menu while the Airship is active.

Fixed minor UI reset issue that could get your player portrait frame to get stuck in a half-transparent state.

Fixed an issue where Blook's "when one enemy is left alive" mechanic wasn't functioning properly and could get Blook into a bad state.

Fixed enemy-side above-the-unit Trait icons not respecting Banners or Devil's Deal modifiers.

Fixed a situation that could cause the "Trait Hero" contract to not be able to advance.

1.0 Update 17 (v1.0.43)

Fixed an issue where Power Rolls could trigger in some cases off of the last stored free roll

Fixed Stalker 2's effect not functioning at all. Pre-emptively reduced it to 40% amp from the listed 50%, and reduced Stalker 1's Attack Damage to 15% from 20%.

Fixed Ghoul Stage 2's lifesteal value being only applied as 15% instead of the listed 30%

Fixed Ghoul's overhealing-bonus-damage visual effect being excessively large, and applying on every attack even if there is no bonus damage to deliver.

Potential fix for the occasional "unit won't act when they should be able to cast" issue.

Fixed being able to drag and drop out-of-stock consumables to still purchase them.

Fixed Only the Best being acquired after equipping the Mythic War Banner causing the unit's traits to not refrsh properly.

Fixed Winterveil's shield not being granted to the equipped unit

Fixed Tier 5 units not showing their Tier indicator in the combat recap screen

1.0 Update 16 (v1.0.42)

Fixed exiting the game during Ranked PVP during the starting bundle selection UI causing an invalid save state - the game would save a run without a bundle chosen, resulting in a Ranked run with nothing to start with. Bundles are now saved when generated, and exiting at this point will not save the PVP run, but will save the same bundles and will display them again when next you decide to start a Ranked PVP run.

Fixed an issue where the DM speech bubble popup wouldn't readjust its location after changing resolutions, potentially leading to it being offscreen. This seemed to be more common in Ultrawide resolutions.

Fixed a minor display issue in character selection, if choosing Draft character, then selecting another character.

Fixed a minor UI reset issue where Region effect UI would remain visible in future runs. This was rarely relevant unless doing a PVP run after a PVE run in the same session.

Fixed Geogukk (and other summons) not having River's Basics (and similar condition-triggered effects) applied in PVP.

Tactician rank PVP is now slightly more forgiving, with a range of -20 to +20 rank points earned (0 to 10 wins) - up from -30 to +10. This matches Master rank's rate of progression.

Fixed an issue that could cause the Reroll button to become unusable in the first floor of a PVP run

Fixed an issue that could cause Contracts to not return their reward if turned in exactly when entering a Rest site

Fixed several errors exclusive to Chinese localization

1.0 Update 15 (v1.0.40P)

Tuning & Balance

Brim's final cast now adds 3 double-attacks (down from 5). Bonus spell damage on hit reduced to 30 (from 40).

Kio's mana cost increased to 75 (from 50)

Manaburner item Mana Regen reduced to 10 (from 20).

Oakengard max mana increased to 60 (up from 50).

Fae's Mana Fairy Spell Power reduced to 20 (from 25).

Mushroom's Starting Mana raised to 40 (from 30), Spell Power per spore reduced to 10 (from 15).

Fixed an issue where Mage's 75% total Spell Power reduction was applying as a flat amount of -25 instead of a percentage of total.

Healer Stage 1 reduced to 25% of healing applied as Shield, down from 33%.

Lightwing Shield reduced to 100 (from 125).

Sir Sparkles healing reduced to 50 (from 60).

Stability Ward damage required to trigger effect increased to 150 (from 100).

Pauldron of Mi'Lo armor proc on low health reduced to 20 (from 30).

Manasoaker 1 mana when hit removed.

PVP Changes

PVP Rarity Costs raised slightly once more, now matching Army Size increases exactly.

PVP Eager Newbie starting SP reduced by 1.

Skye's Crafting 101, and Ki O'dini's Mythic Tale perks will now predetermine and display the reward rather than it being random at the point of clicking. Otto's random Unit perks still remain random, and now state 'random Units' in their texts.

Ki O'dini's Mythic Tale perks updated to offer a more tailored selection of Mythics per rarity. Commons still use the Bonus Mythics pool, but Uncommons now can use some Event Mythics, and Rares can pull from Bosses as well as Ifreyes' special Rare Bonus Mythics.

Ki O'dini's Mythic Tale II (uncommons) now grants 3 Star Points in addition to the Unit.

Gera's Morphology Test now grants a Cosmic Matter instead of a Rainbowslime Vial.

Gera's Underhanded Sources perk has been replaced with Dark Dealings, which grants a Book of Banishment and allows up to 2 more to be purchased from shops.

Bug Fixes & Polish

Altered wording of Skye's Mortar to make the effect more clear

Added Perk preview icons to PVP champion selection screen

Fixed an issue from Hotfix 14 where the Portable Forge item would destroy non-component items.

Fixed a PVP save timing issue where rerolling would save the run before deducting a free roll, resulting in a roll exploit.

Fixed a PVP save issue where in Unranked play, the item store would change items when returning to the main menu and continuing the run.

Fixed a general save issue when loading into a shop room (which always happens in PVP), the load process would cause the RNG seed to shift.

Fixed a general save issue where Units in the Unit store could change upon returning to the main menu after a save.

Cursed and Tier 2 Unit Store slot states now save & load properly

Fixed an issue where Instant Start's Last Played functionality only worked when playing multiple runs in the same session.

Fixed an issue where the Unlucky Lass PVP Combat Modifier wouldn't grant its rewards.

Fixed issues regarding placing a Morphling into the Cloning Hex - you can no longer do so.

Fixed an issue where the Museum Curator and Tactician Combat Modifiers wouldn't activate their effects on the enemy side when in a Devil's Deal combat. This could cause some Devil's Deal combats to be easier or more difficult than intended.

Fixed Vigilant Vessel not functioning with shields

Fixed a very small window during rest sites where units could be picked up and dragged before the rest site ended, resulting in potentially odd results (including one fun report that turned an ally into an enemy)

Fixed a very small window during the Airship UI where multiple acts could be clicked, resulting in odd behavior

Fixed temporary potions not disappearing (again)

When acquiring the Only the Best specialization, the overhead Trait icons for existing Mythic units will now update with the new trait.

Fixed a rare case of a trait update error, where if you had a Marksman Dummy with a war banner, then took out Marksman by way of a swap with a benched unit, the benched unit's traits would not apply.

Added additional logging and potentially fixed a rare case where the Trait Brand specialization wouldn't activate.

Fixed a case where the end of run screen, when clicking the recap, could get stuck on the recap screen.

Fixed a rare issue where if a Contract was turned in at the travel panel for a Rest room, then immediately the Rest room was clicked, then the player gained units as a result of the chosen Perk, the Rest site could become unclickable and softlock. Levelling during a Rest site will now kick the level up into the next act rather than trying to resolve it immediately.

Fixed Impatient Monk in PVP not granting bonus stats since Overtime was switched to Damage Amp.

Fixed a rare display issue where the post-combat and Top Panel heart displays would get out of sync, particularly regarding Pale Hearts

Fixed a rare display issue where the final Heart in the top panel could get stuck as being shown as Pale.

Fixed Baalor's Summons causing the position the Unit spawned at to be considered blocked for the rest of the game until a return to main menu

Baalor's Skill VFX reduced in duration

Fixed Trollgar's swap ignoring CC immunity, resulting in potential AI breakage if a Unit was forced to move positions if they were in the middle of certain actions.

Unsellable units (such as Target Dummies) no longer count against the "Perfect Fights" end of run badge

Chester's Magic Coin will now show Statue as an option when you have the Grandmaster perk.

Added a keybinding for Pausing and Unpausing combat, defaulted to Space Bar

Added a message to the keybinds window to say these do not function if the Gameplay setting for enabling all keybinds is not enabled.

Fixed more instances of buttons that would become "focusable", eating keyboard inputs when clicked until somewhere else was clicked.

Fixed the Leader item LanceLaunch brace providing 20 Attack Speed instead of the listed 15 - and then nerfed it to 10.

Added custom number tracking to Thunder Dirk to show how many stacks it has.

Added "Random" to PVP table selection options

Fixed the Mythic War Banner not immediately refreshing Traits, potentially resulting a minor exploit.

Fixed the Mythic War Banner, when unequipped, removing overhead Trait display icons from the Unit.

Fixed transformation effects (such as Wolfgang) dropping the Tier name modifier from the Unit's name displays.

Fixed Run History issue recording the Grand Tournament as Act 2 instead of 3 in most cases

The Mythic War Banner when used on a normal unit with the Only The Best perk (which grants all Mythics an extra trait) will now preserve the first of the Unit's original traits.

Added Run History support for Skull of Hedra, items that remove traits, and the Only The Best perk, regarding trait summary calculations.

Fixed Reroll button showing the Power Roll tooltip even after clicking it and no longer having a Power Roll.
