How To Migrate Your Save Files From Xbox to Steam
[p]Hey Exofarmers![/p][p]Since announcing that we'll be leaving Xbox Game Pass on March 15th, we've seen a lot y'all making the jump to the Steam version of the game. We've had many questions about transferring save files, so we thought we'd put together a guide.[/p][p]Currently, there is no way to directly move a save file from Xbox to Steam. However, you can make Shared copies of your save files and share them across platforms. This requires owning the game on both Xbox/Microsoft Store and Steam. Here's how to do it:[/p]
- [p]Load up your Xbox/Microsoft Store version of Lightyear Frontier[/p]
- [p]Go to Multiplayer > Host Multiplayer, then find the save file you want to transfer[/p]
- [p]Press the F key or Y button (default bindings) to Create Shared Copy of the save file[/p]
- [p]The Shared copy will appear under the Shared tab[/p]
- [p]Host the Shared copy of your save file as a multiplayer session[/p]
- [p]Check your invite code in the pause menu[/p]
- [p]Load up your Steam version of Lightyear Frontier[/p]
- [p]On the Steam version, use the invite code to join the multiplayer session[/p]
- [p]Joining a Shared save file will give you access to the save file, even while the original host is not around[/p]
- [p](Optional) Create a Standard copy of your Shared save file(s)[/p]
