Today marks an important milestone, and we’re excited to share some great news. We’re officially ready to reveal the launch details for Crown of Greed and outline what content will be available on release. After years of development, shaped by your feedback, ideas, and shared testing, we are finally approaching the defining moment - the game’s launch.[/p][p]
We know you are eagerly awaiting the following information, so let us not keep you in suspense any longer. Let's dive straight into the juicy details![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
First things first - Date, Price and Editions

[p]Base game price is set to $19.99 USD, with regional pricing adjustments applied in selected regions. The game will release on Steam on March 31, 2026‼️[/p][p][/p][p]In addition to the standard edition, the game will be available as a Supporter Pack, including:[/p]
 • [p]a digital artbook featuring in-game artwork, behind-the-scenes materials, curiosities, and expanded lore - a real treat for hyped game fans and fantasy enjoyers[/p]
 • [p]the official soundtrack, composed by Ignacy Zalewski, an award-winning Polish composer[/p]
 • [p]A music preview will be shared separately, along with a direct link.[/p]
[p][/p]
Campaign Content at Launch

[p]Version 1.00 will feature 12 story-driven campaign missions, each comparable in length to the demo mission, with several scenarios offering significantly longer gameplay experiences.[/p][p][/p][p]Throughout the campaign, players will encounter multiple side objectives that add depth and variety to each scenario. Some missions can be completed in numerous different ways, often influencing how events unfold and shaping the outcome of a given situation. The campaign is designed with replayability in mind, offering a non-linear and multi-dimensional experience rather than a straightforward, one-time playthrough. [/p][p][/p][p]That said, we encourage you to try different strategies, tackle different difficulty levels, and discover the full potential of each mission![/p][p][/p]
Meta Progression and Kingdom Development

[p]Kingdom Development System[/p][p][/p][p]Throughout the campaign, players gain access to an extensive kingdom progression panel that serves as a meta layer of development. Within this system, you can construct buildings that permanently unlock new gameplay options and strategic possibilities. Thanks to this system, you - the king - will be able to: [/p][p][/p]
 • [p]unlock new hero abilities[/p]
 • [p]unlock new units and buildings[/p]
 • [p]significantly strengthening selected or favorite units[/p]
 • [p]complete scenarios on one of three difficulty levels to earn progression points[/p]
 • [p]use progression points to expand your kingdom[/p]
 • [p]and many, many more![/p][p][/p]
[p]By motivating players to revisit missions and conquer the campaign on the toughest difficulty over time, the system delivers a diverse and ever-evolving experience. That means even more adventures in the hostile world of Rodovia! Speaking of which...[/p][p][/p]
Slavic Themes and World Identity of Rodovia

[p]Crown of Greed draws strong inspiration from Slavic mythology, folklore, and traditional beliefs, shaping the foundation of its world and narrative. The creatures you encounter, the overarching themes, and the overall worldbuilding are deeply rooted in this rich cultural heritage, giving the game a distinct identity and atmosphere. [/p][p][/p][p]Basilisk - a creature strongly associated with Slavic mythology[/p][p][/p][p]The music and visual art are created by Polish artists, further strengthening the authenticity and tone of the experience. This cultural influence is not just a backdrop, but a core element that defines the mood, storytelling, and artistic direction of the game. By embracing these inspirations, the world of Crown of Greed offers something both unique and grounded in tradition. [/p][p][/p]
Indirect Control - No more Point-and-Click Commands

[p]One of the most recognizable and characteristic features of the game is that heroes are not controlled directly by you - the player. Instead, they operate based on their own AI-driven behavior, making independent decisions as the world unfolds around them. [/p][p][/p][p]They may choose to explore the map, visit taverns, shop for equipment in your facilities or join battles on their own initiative, depending on the situation and their personal priorities. Rather than issuing direct commands, players influence their actions indirectly by placing reward flags on specific locations or objectives and offering gold, the only true currency, as an incentive. This system creates a dynamic and organic flow to gameplay, where strategy revolves around guidance and motivation rather than direct control. Will you be able to bend your subjects to you will?[/p][p][/p][p]Hero progression - from a simple recruit to a true veteran[/p][p][/p][p]That means no more point-and-click commands! Mastery lies in shaping your units’ path through smart decisions, motivating them with well-placed rewards for dangerous tasks, and ensuring they have the right conditions to develop their full potential.[/p][p][/p]
Hero Traits System

[p]Every recruited hero enters the kingdom with a set of randomly generated traits that shape their strengths and weaknesses. These traits can be both positive and negative, influencing how they perform in different situations and adding unpredictability to their development. Some heroes may gain increased effectiveness against undead, making them invaluable in certain encounters, while others might struggle with flaws such as alcoholism, causing them to occasionally fall asleep during patrols. [/p][p][/p][p]Such characteristics make each hero feel distinct and require players to adapt their strategies accordingly. No two recruits are exactly alike, which adds depth and variety to every campaign. Life in Rodovia is not easy, even for heroes, and their personal quirks often become as impactful as their combat abilities.
[/p]
Spells and Hero Headquarters

[p]The spells you cast harm your enemies, aid your heroes or even boost your economy [/p][p]
As the game progresses, players gain access to new hero headquarters that expand the strategic possibilities of their kingdom. Each newly constructed headquarters unlocks additional spells and abilities in the library, which can then be researched to strengthen your forces.[/p][p][/p][p]These upgrades include defensive options such as protective shields for heroes, as well as powerful offensive tools like lightning strikes that can be unleashed against enemies. Expanding your magical arsenal becomes an important part of long-term planning and preparation. Choosing which abilities to research first can significantly influence how you approach future challenges and shape your overall strategy.[/p][p][/p]
Voice Acting, Narration and AI

[p]Crown of Greed is narrated by George Ledoux, a true industry legend and an outstanding voice actor whose performance brings depth and personality to the experience. His narration plays a key role in shaping the tone and atmosphere of the game, guiding players through the world with gravitas and character. The storytelling gains additional weight and immersion thanks to his distinctive voice and delivery.[/p][p][/p][p]The game is created entirely without the use of generative AI. Every element of Crown of Greed is human-made, including the art, music, writing, voice acting, and programming. The project is built on the creativity, passion, and craftsmanship of real people, ensuring authenticity and a personal touch in every aspect of the experience.[/p][p]

Soon the gates of Crown of Greed will swing wide open![/p][p][/p]
Final Notes

[p]As we approach the final stretch before release, we’re proud to say that Crown of Greed launches with (among other things) a full-length story-driven campaign, a deep meta progression system, unique indirect control mechanics, fully handcrafted content, and a strong Slavic identity woven into every aspect of the world. [/p][p][/p][p]This project has grown into something truly special, shaped not only by our vision but also by the passion and dedication of the people around it. March 31 is just around the corner, so stay hyped![/p][p][/p][p]We want to sincerely thank all the players who supported us along the way - our testers, our community members, and everyone who shared their ideas, feedback, and encouragement throughout development. Your involvement has had a real impact on the final shape of the game.[/p][p][/p][p]The wait is almost over. It won’t be long now until you can step into the world of Crown of Greed and experience it for yourselves. See you again soon![/p][p][/p][p]Thank you, Kings[/p][p]Blum Entertainment Team[/p]

Chronicles of Rodovia #15 - Kingdom Management System

Greetings, your Grace! 👑

[p]
Welcome to the Chronicles of Rodovia - a series designed to prepare you for ascension to the throne! 📖 Thanks to the following entries, you will learn how to manage your kingdom and your subjects, make crucial, even fateful decisions, and safeguard your reign from premature demise. In each subsequent post, we will take a closer look at a different gameplay element and explain the basic mechanics that govern the world of Crown of Greed, so be sure to follow them carefully.

[/p][p]Server link »[/p][p]This entry in the Chronicles takes a different turn, as we momentarily move beyond the battlefield and the footholds created in every mission. We have wanted to tell you more about the Kingdom Management System for a long time now, and we are glad that we are ready to introduce you to more details. The feature we describe below not only adds depth to the gameplay, but also gives you another field to make important decisions and try out different strategies. Let's dive right in![/p][p][/p]
Let your kingdom thrive - even between missions

[p]If you've already played the pre-release version of Crown of Greed or have been following the Chronicles of Rodovia series closely, you're certainly already familiar with the game's gameplay loop. You find yourself in the middle of nowhere, in hostile enemy territory, where you must fight for every inch of land and every single shiny coin. However, between these murderous challenges there is also time for a moment of rest and calm planning.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Behold the Kingdom Management System - a feature allowing you to expand your kingdom between missions. You can think of it as a new meta-progression mechanic, where you - the king - can use the points earned during the campaign to buy upgrades for your kingdom. Needless to say, these upgrades will surely prove to be very helpful when tackling the challenges ahead![/p][p][/p][p]Naturally, the question arises: how do you obtain the points needed to develop your kingdom? Heritage points, as they’re known, are earned by completing a scenario’s main objective, with greater rewards available at higher difficulty settings, and by taking on and completing various side missions. The rule is simple here - the more deadly the quest, the more Heritage points you get! That’s why it can be worth pushing your management skills to the limit and tackling the higher difficulty levels - especially since the points can only be obtained once per mission, so you can't just "farm" points in one scenario over and over again.[/p][p][/p][p]Work in Progress - the Kingdom System panel[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
What kind of upgrades and buildings can you choose?

[p]It turns out that there are many buildings that can enhance your headquarters, and each of them will provide a different effect and bonuses. Be sure to review them all carefully before making your selection to manage your Heritage points wisely. Your choice of upgrades should reflect your unique playstyle and the way you manage your cities during missions. And now - the buildings. They are divided into categories:[/p]
 • [p]Economy[/p]
 • [p]Military[/p]
 • [p]Reconnaissance[/p]
 • [p]Science[/p]
 • [p]and Others[/p][p][/p]
[p]Work in Progress - Expanding your Kingdom[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Making the right choice...
[p][/p][p]On top of that, many of the buildings can be upgraded from Tier 1 to Tier 2 and Tier 3, just as can the heroes' dwelling during missions. When you decide to upgrade a building, you will increase its efficiency and provide yourself with additional benefits - but to make sure this is not groundless, let's look at the example of the Town Hall.[/p][p][/p][p]Tier 1 - Town Hall - grants extra starting gold in every next mission[/p][p]Tier 2 - Tax Center - grants additional tax collector and increases all collectors movement speed[/p][p]Tier 3 - Capitol - increase kingdom gold income making you even richer![/p][p][/p][p]And all this for just one building! Now you see how powerful the Kingdom Management System is. If you're a player who likes to first stabilize your kingdom economically before taking on your enemies, Town Hall is the perfect choice. But what if you prefer a different leadership style?[/p][p][/p]
Other buildings examples
[p][/p]
 • [p]Wheelwright's workshop - significantly improve the speed, profitability and durability of caravans[/p]
 • [p]Defensive fort - unlocks a new type of tower, develops powerful abilities for Warrior and Arbalester[/p]
 • [p]Armory - increases guards' stats, unlocks new armor and weapon upgrades, grants bonuses to items bought by your heroes[/p]
 • [p]The cartographer's office - significantly supports your efforts to explore the fog of war and improves visibility at night[/p]
 • [p]Tower of the Arcana - reduces the cooldown and cost of spells, supports Vestal, Necromancer, Druid, and Wizard heroes, and makes reviving your dead adventurers... less painful[/p]
 • [p]Heroes' Guild - provides a better start for recruited heroes and allows for greater freedom in hiring them, unlocks the ability to create teams of 3 and 4 heroes[/p]
 • [p]And many, many more! [/p][p][/p]
[p]Given the sheer number of options, approaches, and strategies, we can't wait to see how you build your kingdom. Will you prioritize magic? Growth? Support specific hero classes? Or perhaps create a balanced mix of all bonuses? It all depends on you, the king, but beware. Your choices matter![/p][p][/p][p]Work in Progress - the Kingdom System panel[/p][p][/p]

As always, there are two sides of the coin

[p]Unfortunately, in the world of Rodovia, nothing comes without a cost. Every decent kingdom needs the sewer system, often called the veins of civilization. Sewers, despite their important sanitary function, are also an ideal habitat for pesky rats, which can become a real nuisance to your city.[/p][p][/p][p]And although it may sound trivial (after all, your warriors face deadly dragons and huge devils), an untamed rat population can cause you a lot of problems. The more buildings you build in the Kingdom Management System, the more sewers connect them. Needless to say, more rats will soon visit your streets. These hostile rodents are not afraid of humans. They are known for attacking workers, guards, and tax collectors inside the city, distracting much of the guards' attention. Don't forget about this "additional cost" when growing your kingdom, your grace![/p][p][/p][p]Work in Progress - Sewers and the Rats[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Thank you, your Majesty!

[p]We trust that the fifteenth entry of the Chronicles of Rodovia series has sparked your eagerness to seize the throne and guide your kingdom to prosperity and glory! You can be sure that we will soon publish more interesting information and news about the game, just like the next parts of our Chronicles 😁 Stay hyped, stay tuned, and add Crown of Greed to your Steam wishlist. Chronicles of Rodovia #14 - Arena and Library

[/p][p]Today, our steps will not be directed towards the battlefield, but deeper into our city. This doesn't mean we're shelving our sword - no, we're not! There are many ways to cultivate your combat skills, and some of them lie outside the standard battlefield. We believe that today's topic will ignite your curiosity and that after reading today's chronicles you will be able to put the new information to good use - all for the safety and glory of your kingdom![/p][p][/p]
Magic and blades - the true proctors of your land

[p]Even the most financially, administratively, and constructionally skilled kings will not survive long in the hostile lands of Rodovia. No without their mercenary hero defenders! While the above skills are definitely very important, they will not be of much use to us if our settlement is flooded with hordes of enemies. That's why we need powerful spells and trained warriors to drive them away![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Honing your skills on the battlefield is a great way to gain power, glory, and wealth, but it also puts you one step away from ending your heroic career in a wolf’s maw, beneath a devil’s axe, or in the scorching breath of a dragon. Such dangers are especially deadly for beginner heroes. [/p][p][/p][p]Picture this: how is a fresh, inexperienced adventurer supposed to survive the late-game, where enemies grow terrifyingly strong, and every remaining quest is a dangerous gamble? Truly, nobody would want to trade places with them. Fortunately, a wise king like you has a solution to this problem... Let's see how you can grant your new heroes a good start into their new role, how can you support more experienced adventurers in their training and how to get access to the most powerful magic out there![/p][p][/p]
The Arena

[p]The ringing of steel, the snap of bowstrings, and the roar of combat fill the air around the arena. Welcome to the place where your heroes can train safely, free from the threat of death - though you’ll soon discover the Arena has far more to offer. Every wise ruler, especially one who has reached the later stages of the game, should consider building an Arena. Why is that, you ask?[/p][p][/p][p]THESE TWO BUILDINGS CAN CHANGE THE FACE OF YOUR FOOTHOLD[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
What can the Arena do for you?
[p]• enables hero training[/p][p]• generates passive gold income[/p][p]• unlocks the ability to develop skill technologies for heroes[/p][p]• technologies, among many other things, allow the recruitment of heroes with higher starting levels[/p][p]• can be upgraded to tier 2 which also affect the availability of skill tiers[/p][p][/p][p]We’ll go over each of these points shortly, as they all deserve a bit more clarification, but we are sure you can already see that the Arena is quite handy! [/p][p][/p]
The training:
[p]As we mentioned earlier, each of your recruited heroes can enter the Arena to train their combat abilities on its sands. It turns out that, just like most things in the kingdom of Rodovia, this choice comes with both advantages and drawbacks. While training in the arena is much safer, it is simply slower than hardening yourself on the real battlefield. It's up to you to see if you are a ruler who enjoys a high risk - high reward scenario, or a cautious commander who slowly but surely pursues his goal.[/p][p][/p]
The gold income:
[p]The more gold coins in your pocket, the merrier! In this case, the principle is simple - the Arena will behave like any other building in your city and will generate passive gold income. Even though it is a place filled with fearsome warriors, it cannot resist the greed of our beloved tax collector![/p][p][/p][p]ARENA IS A GREAT WAY TO TRAIN YOUR WARRIORS[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
The technologies:
[p]Through hours spent target shooting, sparring, and sharing experiences, heroes can unlock entirely new skills available only through the Arena. New skills mean much greater effectiveness in battle against a real opponent, so if the state of your treasury allows it, you should always invest in developing them! Here are some examples of abilities that can enrich your heroes' arsenal: Chop, Taunt, Poisoned hit, Battle fury, The wheel of death... and many more. And here is the fun part - when you upgrade your Arena to tier 2, you will be able to unlock even more new abilities![/p][p][/p]
Hero recruitment:
[p]We believe one of the most significant bonuses the Arena offers is the ability to recruit heroes at level 3 or 5. Once you develop the right technology, you won't have to deal with a bunch of novice adventurers, most of whom would end up in a graveyard anyway. Your warriors will be (more or less) immediately ready to undertake field missions after recruitment. How convenient![/p][p][/p]
Tier 1 and 2:
[p]Just like with "the gold income", the matter is quite simple here. You can upgrade your Arena from tier 1 to tier 2 to access all the extra goodies and possibilities. The Arena in its second tier offers more technologies to develop and use, better hero training and better hero recruitment. [/p][p][/p][p][/p]
The Library

[p]Hundreds of dusty books, ancient scrolls and a wealth of knowledge - all this is hidden behind the library doors, simply waiting for you to discover them. It is told, that every ruler who crosses their threshold is sure to learn powerful spells and sorceries. This matters even more knowing that, as the king, you cannot fight directly. Instead, you can rain down magical powers across the battlefield to weaken enemies and bolster your heroes.[/p][p][/p][p]LIBRARY OFFERS NUMEROUS POWERFUL SPELLS AND ABILITIES[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
What can the Arena do for you?
[p]• Just as the Arena, it has tier 1 and tier 2 upgrades[/p][p]• It allows you to unlock and discover a range of new mighty spells in hero dwellings[/p][p]• To put it simply, the Library provides skills for magic-focused classes, while the Arena unlocks abilities for reconnaissance, offensive, and defensive groups.[/p][p][/p]
Tier 1 and 2:
[p]Once you build the Library at its basic level, you'll gain access to a range of powerful spells. Before they can be used, however, you'll need to pay their cost and wait for them to be researched. Naturally, raising the building to its 2nd tier will expand the arsenal of available magic. Higher level spells, while more expensive, are also more deadly and influential.[/p][p][/p]
New spells to unlock:
[p]This is where the fun part begins! Below you will find examples of spells you can cast directly from your throne. Each of them can turn the fate of the battle and save your brave heroes, so use them wisely![/p][p]- Fragmentation grenade in the Arbalesters Workshop [/p][p]- God’s hammer in the Order of Knights[/p][p]- Illumination in the Monastery[/p][p]- Summoning a bear in the Tree of Elements[/p][p]- Aura of haste in the Dryad’s Altar[/p][p]- Curse[/p][p]- Meteor Shower[/p][p][/p][p]Of course, these are just a glimpse of the Library’s full potential. In fact, its power is so great that it has been exempted from taxes... a rather unusual situation in the world of Crown of Greed! Needless to say, wielding the power of arcane magic is incredibly satisfying - whether you’re reducing hordes of enemies to ash with a single gesture, aiding your heroes in crucial moments, or cleverly scouting the map. These are experiences every ruler will remember.[/p][p][/p][p]With that in mind, if you want to learn more about the Magic System, head to this Chronicles »[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Thank you, your Majesty!

[p]We trust that the fourteen entry of the Chronicles of Rodovia series has sparked your eagerness to seize the throne and guide your kingdom to prosperity and glory! You can be sure that we will soon publish more interesting information and news about the game, just like the next parts of our Chronicles 😁 Stay hyped, stay tuned, and add Crown of Greed to your Steam wishlist.
