First DevLog in 2025!
Hey Dealers!
We hope 2025 is treating you well. We bring you a fresh new update from the team at Byterunners, who are busy making the game bigger and better. If you’re looking for a general list of stuff that’s coming, see the infographic on the game’s Steam page. But now, let’s talk about two quite specific things.
Drug storage handling & presentation
The team is now changing the way substance storage is handled and presented. All the racks and shelves will act as furniture that increases substance capacity as well as hideout handy space.
You don’t need to believe, you’ll simply see it. Items, substances and drugs will have their graphical representation on relevant pieces of furniture, depending on how full the storage is. This will simplify things when it comes to furnishing hideouts and make the hideouts look more natural looking with all the stuff lying around in plain sight.
Here’s a work-in-progress preview of how it’s going to look:
Mixes handling & usage
Another thing in the works is an improvement of handling of mixes and introducing the consequences of using mixes.
Overdosing and addictions are on their way, and so you will also get tools for controlling what your dealers are selling. You will be able to select rules of selling particular drugs for both individual dealers or override their settings and set it all up on distributors. This will give you more strategic control of how your cartel is doing their work, and it’ll let you try varied approaches to mixes.
Here’s a preview:

Let’s not forget that the team is also continuously working on fixes for bugs and crashes that you report. On this note - stay in touch, join our Discord, and wait for updates, news, and more.
See ya on Isla Sombra!
