Thank you Early Access Players!

Hello Early Access players!
[p]Thank you so much for playing, reviewing and in general checking out our first co-op gothic horror game Eyes of Hellfire. We’d love to reintroduce ourselves![/p][p]We - the developers - are Gambrinous, an indie Irish team of 10 folks based in Ireland too. Eyes of Hellfire is inspired by the real Irish folklore of the Hellfire Club in the Dublin mountains and in fact we hiked up to the Hellfire Club recently (see below!) [/p][p]We’re thrilled that Blumhouse Games has published our game and loved seeing/reading your reactions across all socials, here on Steam and on stream. [/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Here’s a flavour of what you seem to like the most:
[p]“It feels like exactly what I wanted it to be: a tabletop experience I can play with my friends online.”[/p][p]“Art direction is very strong, with atmosphere in the environments and loads of personality in the characters”.[/p][p]“The atmosphere is creepy, the art is lovely, and the fact that I can buy it and my friends don't have to right away is the icing on a very spooky cake.”[/p][p]Rest assured, we do have Save States on the way as we appreciate that it takes time to play through Scenario 1![/p][p]Things you don't like? Bugs. We don’t like them either! But we really do appreciate your patience. [/p][p]We’ve also gotten a lot of great feedback from the community, as well as bug reports that we're working on.[/p][p]This is exactly what our Early Access period is about, working with the community, and we’re thrilled to have such an attentive one already who are helping us squash those bugs. Just please note that because we’re a small indie team in Ireland, our time zone / work week may differ from yours.[/p][p]You can find us mostly chatting away on our Discord where we also have a space for feedback, bug reports and folks looking for games’. [/p][p]Speaking of, folks had questions about match-matching and single-player mode. We shared our thoughts along with answers to other qs here. But in a nutshell:[/p][p]Eyes of Hellfire is not suited for single-player mode. There are puzzles, curses, combat elements and other features within the game that would not be possible for a single player to complete.[/p][p]We have no current plans to allow for random matchmaking with strangers. We feel players will be less likely to have a great time with that setup. As mentioned, the game needs a bigger time commitment for things to be fun, which we don't think is compatible with random matchmaking.[/p][p]Instead, we encourage coordinating with friends to start a game / find players to group with via other places, for example, our "looking for group" channel on our Discord server.[/p][p]But we will say we're watching carefully and not entirely ruling out something like this in future![/p]
Check out our Road Map - we've got a lot of exciting things coming up soon!
[p]We’re just getting started and there's new and exciting things waiting in the wings. We’re stoked to keep working on our gothic horror title![/p][p]Thank you all again for being part of our Early Access period. [/p]
~ The Gambrinous Team
