META PROGRESSION

[p]Meta progression refers to a system in Eyes of Hellfire where players gain permanent unlocks that carry over between gameplay sessions. The more you play, the more you 'progress' through our system. These unlockables are only available to those who have purchased the game and will not be available to players who are joining solely through Friend’s Pass invites. On Early Access Launch, players who have purchased Eyes of Hellfire will have the opportunity to unlock:[/p]
  1. [p]Two different emotes (Indicating ‘pointing’ and ‘shock’)[/p]
  2. [p]An alternate starting deck (unlockable for each character)[/p]
  3. [p]A special card (unique to each character)[/p]
[p]More meta progression upgrades will be unlocked as we continue working through Early Access.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Grab a free Steam key for tense, gothic co-op game Eyes of Hellfire

I always appreciate co-op games that have ways for your friends to join you without everyone involved having to buy a separate copy. Remnant 2 lets you jump into DLC you don't own if the host has it, simply locking any gear you collect until you buy access. It Takes Two and Split Fiction go one step further, allowing the second player to jump in completely for free with their 'friend's pass' feature. New gothic horror experience Eyes of Hellfire is the latest to offer such a deal, and to get you over the starting line we've got dozens of free Steam keys to give away for the game's imminent launch.

Composer Gary Keane breaks down audio design for Eyes of Hellfire

[p]Hey guys,[/p][p][/p][p]So I’m the sound designer and composer on Eyes of Hellfire, a gothic horror co-op game developed by Gambrinous (an Indie studio here in Ireland) and published by the brilliant team at Blumhouse Games. This is the first game I’ve worked on where I handled both music and sound design from start to finish, and it’s been an amazing (and at times intense) ride. I really wanted to capture the atmosphere and spirit of the game from an audio point of view, and I was lucky to be working with a team who gave me loads of space to experiment and push things. The theme tune alone went through four different versions before we landed on the final one. I might’ve slightly lost my mind along the way, but it was worth it. On the sound design side, it’s honestly been a joy. The writing, the art, the overall tone of the game - it all gave me a really solid foundation to build in all the weird + subtle stuff: creepy lodge ambiance, ghost pianos, distorted whispers, trap sounds, The Host’s heartbeat, the works. I put together a short video presentation showing the journey so far with the audio, including some behind-the-scenes stuff and in-game clips. Thought I’d share it here in case it’s of interest! Here’s the video[/p][p] (Headphones are a good shout for this one) Would love to hear what you think, and happy to chat about any part of the process, tools, FMOD stuff, or whatever else comes to mind.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Cheers,[/p][p]Gary[/p]
