Hotfix 3.3.3

We have just released a hotfix in response to recent reports and feedback. These are the changes made![/p][p][/p][h3]Tweaks[/h3]
  • [p]Gramps single target healing is now more responsive and will apply the first tick of healing faster[/p]
  • [p]When switching to an item while a charged attack is already in progress cooldown will now transfer to the new item to prevent multiple attacks from happening instantly after weapon swapping. Applies to charged attacks

[h3]Bugfixes[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed a crash on startup after players were mistakenly given experience as a prop in prophunt[/p]
  • [p]When a player is attacked by a magpie other players should now be able to attack that player[/p]
  • [p]Fixed barricades not being able to be damaged by teammates[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Doreen Fury rush audio lingering too long after the ability is over[/p]
  • [p]Consecutive jumps are now more responsive[/p]
  • [p]Parrying with a frying pan will now stun the attacker. Not the closest target. Can no longer stun friendly neighbors[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Chads vacuum ability not applying a slow correctly. Changed SFX[/p]
  • [p]Resized elements in the lobby browser to avoid overlapping text[/p]

UPDATE 3 OUT NOW - New game mode Prophunt and introducing Cookie

[p][/p][p]Hello Neighbors! [/p][p]Update 3 is finally here and we are excited to bring new content and quality of life updates across the board. Today we are happy to release the third major content update HIDE THE COOKIES! [/p][p][/p]
WHAT IS IN THIS UPDATE?

[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][h2]NEW NEIGHBOR: Cookie [/h2][p]Meet Cookie, Heartsville's newest resident![/p][p][/p][p]Cookie is the neighborhoods infiltrator and saboteur. With her arsenal of scout skills and her trusty Multi-Tool, Cookie is ready to take out traps, disguise as a bush or tunnel her way across the Cul-De-Sac.
[/p][h3]Multi-Tool- Primary[/h3]
  • [p]Attack: Cookie does a light melee attack.[/p]
[h3]Multi-Tool- Secondary[/h3]
  • [p]Disassemble: Cookie Disassembles a trap in front of her, making her able to steal it.[/p]

  • [p]Tunnel Digging (Default): Equip a shovel to dig a tunnel. When two tunnels have been placed, you can travel between them.[/p]
  • [p]Camouflage (Level 5 unlock): Cookie gathers twigs and branches to quickly camouflage herself as a bush. She takes reduced damage while Camouflage is active.[/p]
  • [p]Magpie Mayhem (Level 10 unlock): Cookie calls on her animal friends to protect her. Enemies that gets too close gets harassed by birds.[/p]

Play hide-and-seek with your neighbors, where one team hides as props around the property, and the other tries to find and eliminate them before time runs out. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]
NEW BRAWL MAP: Harmony Foundation
[/h2][p]Harmony Foundation joins the neighborhood, as the new brawl map. This under-construction part of the neighborhood provides and all-new playground for knocking out your favorite frenemy neighbors. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]BRAWL IN ALL EXISTING MAPS[/h2][p]The Brawl gamemode will now be available in all existing maps, previously exclusive for the Destruction gamemode![/p][p][/p][h2]MENU REWORK FOR EASY REPLAYABILITY[/h2][h3]Moving from dedicated servers to listen servers [/h3][p]In this update for are moving away from dedicated servers to make the creation and joining of different game modes more straightforward. We might get dedicated servers back in the future should the need arise but we felt this was the best way forward at this point in time. Together with the new replay functionality at the end of each match, we hope this will make it easier for people to find games, try out different game modes and have fun with their friends while we continue development!
(This change means that leaderboards will be temporarily removed from the game. We hope to have them back within long!)

[/p][h2]MIXED QUALITY OF LIFE[/h2][p]In addition to the above, this update also brings with it a series of Quality of Life improvements and new customization. [/p][p][/p][h3]Doubled the amount of XP gained[/h3][p]This is a long overdue change. For a while now it has been clear that the progression in the game lacked balancing. We are taking steps to address that now. Moving forward all experience gained during play will be doubled. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Spawn protection in Brawl[/h3][p]Together with the new brawler map, this update also introduces increased spawn protection when playing in brawl mode. We hope this help to alleviate some of the pain points that has been reported from this game mode. [/p][p][/p][h3]Updated screen and UI effects[/h3][p]Several of the existing screen effects has had their visuals reworked. In addition, UI elements such as the ability icon and health bar have received additional functionality in order to make it easier for the players to understand and notice what is going on. A little Prophunt Game Mode teaser, new Neighbor & more!

[p]G'day Neighbors!

If you haven't already heard from Discord announcement, the next content update will feature a new gamemode called Prophunt! For those unaware, Prophunt consists of two teams; the props and the hunters. Props must disguise as objects within the world in order to avoid being captured by the hunters. Hunters are blindfolded during the beginning of a round, giving props ample time to find the perfect hiding spot - but beware! If you stand still too long as a prop, you will begin to whistle, alerting the hunters of your presence.
[/p][p][/p][p]
Since we're making Prophunt à la Neighbors, there's a couple of additional twists. First of all, each team still gets to pick their house. Every house in Neighbors fully supports Prophunt, giving you a lot of variety in the types of environments you can play in and the types of props you can disguise as. You also still get to play as your Neighbor when you're the hunter. This means that their traits (Movement speed, health, etc.) impacts how you play Prophunt, and most of them also retain their unique items.

Part of this update also significantly improves the experience of hosting games, including implementing Play Again on self-hosted games. This makes it easier to either play endless rounds of Prophunt with your friends, or play a variety of different game modes across multiple matches - and yes MORE game modes are coming!

[p][/p][p]Hello Neighbors, [/p][p]We have received some reports on a crash as well as issues with Doreen's Fury Rush not being usable with one of her perks so we figured we would squeeze in a small hotfix between larger updates. [/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Fury rush now affects ranged boxing jab.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a crash which occurs when dropping items with ammo in the shop (when you buy with full inventory).[/p]
