Howdy Neighbors!

It's been a week since we closed down the free Open Beta, and boy has that felt a bit empty! 😃

You certainly seemed to think so, we have been flooded with messages about the possibility to run another one before we hit Early Access on April 17th.

So we thought - what the heck, let's do it! 🥳 Starting on Thursday April 3 at 6PM CEST, we re-open the free Open Beta, and run it until Sunday April 6 at noon CEST.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! 😮 We mean literally, there's more content. In addition to everything in the first Open Beta, you can enjoy our second level, the Snowy Serenity Summit. We're even unlocking the full character roster that we have up until now, meaning that Louie, P-A and Mary-Jean will be playable - so expect new strategies and likely even more hilarious mayhem...

So if you haven't already, head over to our store page and hit "Request Access", to get in on the fun later this week!

Oh, and if you missed it during the first Open Beta, here is the Q&A with our dear animator Katarina, where she answers all your questions, while also animating the latest emote in the game!

[h2]🛑 THE OPEN BETA IS CLOSED[/h2]

The Open Beta for Neighbors is now over, and boy has it been a lovely time! 🤩 Almost 200.000 of you have played the game, and given us so, so much!

We are very happy to see so much excitement surrounding Neighbors be it here in Discord, but also across all our social media channels, on Twitch and also YouTube. 🥳

It was so cool to play the games with you and also to see other people play the game and have discussions about strategies or the pro and cons of certain neighbors.

After our weekly team meeting this morning it is clear: We are just so thankful for everyone playing. 💛🩵💚


[h2]WHAT HAPPENS NOW?[/h2]

I think I'm not reaching, when I say we got a shitton of feedback, recommendations and bugreports to go through and we are grateful, that we got pointers on how to make game even better. 🫡

Community-wise we are currently preparing a bigger report on the Open Beta with some interesting numbers like e.g. most played neighbors, average match length and item usage. We will try to get this done before the end of the week.

On the development side we will look at balance changes, fixes and general polishing of the game so we are ready for the Early Access Release April 17th. BTW don't forget to wishlist Neighbors to get notified when EA goes live.

[h2]📝 Localization of Neighbors[/h2]

Neighbors reached international waters and the language of the game needs more input! If you are not aware of it yet, we are translating the game together with the help of the community!

For this we are using Crowdin - a service enabling collaborative work on translations. We are always on the lookout for more support and voluntary translators. Especially looking at French, Portuguese or Spanish we seem to lack a bit. :/ After reaching a certain amount of words translated you will earn a spot in our credits and a also receive a limited digital reward, which we are currently figuring out. 🙂

We LOVE to seeing so many new users in the Discord and how engaged everyone is. This is why we decided to pull the trigger and release the first batch of Emotes and Stickers. We plan to add more of these as we go along and feel free to recommend some you would love to see and use. Check them out on our Discord server!

Yesterday we opened the floodgates to our free Open Beta - which runs to Monday morning at 10AM CET. We want to thank you SO much for all the messages and feedback we have gotten - truly invaluable, and we listen to every single piece of it! 💓

If you haven't already gotten into the Open Beta, this is how you get access! Just follow these simple steps to get into to the suburban mayhem and start wrecking your neighbors house:

1. Go to our Steam store page. Make sure you are logged in to Steam.

2. Find the "Request Access button" on the page.

3. Download the game.

4. WRECK YOUR NEIGHBORS!

It's that simple! 😃 And if you are running into problems, feel free to hop over to our Discord, the dev team and the community is happy to help you.

Heyo Neighbors!

Our free Open Beta is starting Thursday March 20th, around 9PM CET, and runs until Monday March 24th at 10AM. To celebrate that, we are doing a bunch of live streams on our Twitch channel! 🎉

The game will be brought live just after our segment in the Future Games Show Spring Showcase has aired on Thursday, and after that we are live on Twitch for about an hour, where we will bask in the glory of seeing people play our game. 💓

Then, Friday to Sunday will see us livestream three hours a day, with developer Q&A:s, community playsessions and even competitive matches between devs and you, our dear players! ✌

We have some really fun news today, perfect for that extra Friday vibe. The neighborhood is soon opening up for everyone - Thursday March 20th, 9PM CET, we are starting our free Open Beta! 🥳

It’s live until Monday 10AM CET, meaning you have plenty of chances to get your friends together and destroy each other's houses. Grab those crowbars and let’s goooooo! 🔥

We are so, so excited to welcome more players into Neighbors, we can’t wait to see all the creative ways you’ll demolish your neighbors property in, and maybe find a few bugs for us to sort out in the process. 😀
