Artillery accuracy has been significantly reduced.
The effect on rough seas on artillery accuracy has been increased.
The minimum and maximum values of “Projectile spread” slider of the Settings screen has been changed.
Added the ability to choose between the tight shell pattern (default) and the loose shell pattern with double spread value.
Special logic has been implemented for projectiles after they hit the water. Now they have a chance to shatter (greater velocity significantly increases this chance). All projectiles are also considered to tumble upon hitting water, causing their AP multiplier to gradually decrease to a value equal to the AP multiplier of the projectile fragments. Again, higher velocity means faster AP reduction.
A couple of bugs have been fixed.
Update 0.141a. Hotseat mode and damage model tweaks.
Hotseat mode (the ability to select both sides as human players) has been added.
The difficulty, time of day and weather UI selectors of Custom Battle screen have been changed to save space in the UI.
Several minor performance optimizations have been made.
Several errors in the armor model of turrets of Bellerophon class dreadnought have been fixed.
The following changes have been made to the calculation of structural damage:
Structural damage caused by explosions has been reduced by 20%.
Vulnerability to structural damage of all armor plates has been reduced. The effect of armor thickness on vulnerability to structural damage has been reduced.
Torpedo bulkheads vulnerability to structural damage has been further reduced by 25%.
A more stringent rule for selecting adjacent bulkheads for cascading structural damage to exclude more bulkheads faced approximately the same direction as the bulkhead or hull plate that suffered the initial structural damage.
For better simulation of explosions inside and outside the armored turrets, the following changes have been made:
Turret guns were divided into two parts: the bore and the breech mechanism.
To simulate the empty space between the turret and the barbette, virtual armor plates made of “air” material have been added on top of all barbettes that have armored caps. When calculating damage, these plates have higher priority than the plating of the corresponding barbette compartment (just like regular armor plates).
Flooding rate has been reduced by 30%.
A couple of bugs have been fixed.
Update 0.14a. Bellerophon-class British dreadnought.
Bellerophon-class dreadnought battleship has been added for British Empire.
A new mission “Battle of the early dreadnought squadrons” has been added.
Control posts (conning towers) can now be of two types: fire control and movement control, or fire control only.
Now, if an active control post with movement control capability is damaged or its crew is killed or wounded, the player loses control the ship's rudder angle and the engine room telegraph for one turn.
Armored caps for barbettes have been added to the armor model of all ships with barbettes, except the Majestic-class.
The amount of electricity consumed by searchlights has been reduced.
A couple of bugs have been fixed.
Update 0.135a. Changes in the logic of servicing modules by the crew.
Added an interval of one turn for the crew to occupy serviced modules after increasing modules priority or after the death or injury of the crew.
Tooltips has been added to some elements of the ship status panel in the upper corners (only for friendly ships).
Extended the functionality of tooltips for the engines power indicator, engine room telegraph, rudder angle, target distance and speed indicator and searchlights button.
‘Wind effect on projectiles’ slider has been added to the ‘Difficulty’ tab of the Settings screen to allow you to control how much wind affects projectiles in battle.
A couple of minor UI changes have been made.
A couple of bugs have been fixed.
Update 0.13a. Submerged torpedo tubes for large surface ships
Added submerged torpedo tubes for large surface ships (except Majestic, which will be replaced by another model).
The map UI can now also display the history of torpedo launches.
A 'Difficulty' tab has been added to the Settings screen with two settings:
Checkbox ‘Show map scale bar and real distance grid in battle’. It is checked by default.
A slider that allows you to adjust the spread of projectiles.
An artillery turret can now be damaged (considered jammed) even if its armor has not been pierced.
Changes of ship models:
The length of torpedo bulkheads of SMS Blücher (Patreon reward ship) has been significantly reduced to cover only compartments near and between the main battery forward and rear centerline gun turrets.
The compartments structure of SMS Blücher (Patreon reward ship) has been slightly modified to have a larger torpedo compartment near the main battery bow turret.
Most of side cofferdam compartments of Scharnhorst class model have been merged with adjacent coal bunker compartments, as is made on other ships in the game.
Compartments structure of Scharnhorst class model has been slightly modified to have an appropriate torpedo tube compartment located near the main battery bow turret.
