Warlordocracy Early v21.8

Minor update improves the Dirty Trick ability, letting you succeed automatically if your target is unsuspecting (not in combat). Unconscious mobiles are now drawn under other mobiles, and improved some old Ch.2 dialogue. There is also a new achievement that will unlock after Ch.5 if you keep the Loner rep the entire game (stay solo).

Will have a Chapter 5 Demo on Patreon tomorrow, with maps just filled with random monsters and baddies.

Complete list of changes:

-New achievement: The Lonely Road (beat all 6 chapters with no companions).
-Dirty Tricks ability now has 100% chance against targets that are not engaged in combat.
-Dirty Tricks ability now requires target to be facing either toward or away from you for certain tricks.
-Unconscious/sleeping mobiles are now drawn under other mobiles.
-Party member speed now affects party level slightly.
-Improved some Ch.2 dialogue.
-More work on Ch.5.

Warlordocracy Early v21.7

Big Stones now have durability so they can't stack, and they can be thrown if you have 10 Physique. Catapults can now be destroyed, and Nox Jellyfish now have improved AI (using the new objMobFindWater command). Added some new party dialogue to Ch.4 and fixed some minor bugs.

Fixed a major bug from a recent patch where party members would have leftover incapacitated flags on so you couldn't command them to move.

Finally, added some big stones and a catapult to the mines in Chapter 3 for fun.




Complete list of changes:

-Fixed rare bug where object incapacitated flag wouldn't get reset.
-Jellyfish can now fly over land, then return to water when combat ends.
-New script command: "objMobFindWater" to set destination to a nearby water tile.
-Big Stones now have durability (unstackable) and are throwable if you have 10 Physique.
-Catapults are now destructible (new destroyed sprite, updated Ch.4 story file).
-Destroying Wood Barrels and Doors now has 50% chance to create Wood Stick.
-Fixed Eberans not being hostile in Ch.3 (for real this time).
-Fixed Jellyfish animation frames that caused crash.
-Added Big Stones and Catapult to mines in Ch.3.
-New Loner reputation if you beat Ch.1 solo.
-Improved some party dialogue in Ch.4.
-More work on Ch.5, updated manuals.

Warlordocracy Early v21.6

You can now load catapults with cannon balls or thrown bombs if you have the Mechanics skill. This lets you lob a normal blast bomb across the entire battlefield.

Also, the Blinded status effect now cancels the benefits of Spotting and Infravision, and also adds a 50% chance to miss with all melee attacks, making it a much more severe condition.

Finally, the achievements file can no longer be edited with notepad.

Mostly I am working on Chapter 5 maps. I should have a playable demo for Patrons in about a week.

Warlordocracy Early v21.5

Added a ton of new monsters for use in Chapters 5 and 6, as well as Patron Stories. These include Imps, Nox Jellyfish, Zap Jellyfish, Gazers, Mind Consumers, Wisps, Golems, and Wyrms. Added a handful of jellyfish to Chapters 3 and 4.

Complete list of changes:

-New monster: Imp (larger versions of Vampire Bats, nocturnal).
-New monster: Golem (extremely powerful constructs, slow tanks).
-New monster: Gazer (floating eyes that blast targets with mind damage).
-New monster: Mind Consumer (causes sleep and confusion, summons gazers).
-New monster: Zap Jellyfish (hides in water, flies into air when disturbed, electric).
-New monster: Nox Jellyfish (hides in water, flies into air when disturbed, poisonous).
-New monster: Wisp (ethereal wisps of light, teleport, powerful elemental spells, nocturnal).
-New monster: Wyrm (extremely large and dangerous flying lizard, breathes fire, regenerates).
-Defending status now boosts Melee Resistance and Parry (not Pierce Resistance), drains Meta.
-Fixed some blocked and water tiles and placed some jellyfish in Chapters 3 and 4.
-Updated manuals.

Warlordocracy Early v21.4


Another minor patch that fixes some bugs and improves the track for the Jadenbury Foreign District (thanks to Sonic Kitchen).

I've been busy designing a ton of new monsters for Chapters 5 and 6. I'll have videos with the next patch in a couple days.


Complete list of changes:

-Improved music track for Jadenbury Foreign District (Painted Sword by Sonic Kitchen).
-Improved achievement icons: Warlord Butcher and Horror on Fortune Isle.
-Fixed major bug from when status effects were rearranged recently.
-Made spotting checks more efficient for performance purposes.
-Mobile movement animation is now last priority before idle.
-Fixed sprite when mobiles are submerged beneath water.
-Fixed using "objCooldown" command in attack scripts.
-Snallygasters now regenerate like Trogs.
