Warlordocracy Early v9.9

There is now a bandit who will tell the others to stand down in Tuskwood in Chapter 1 if you get to him, improved other dialogue and fixed a bunch of little shit. Chapter 2 DLC is still on track to release Monday, November 6th. Busting ass on side quest scripts until then.


Complete list of changes:

-Usable objects now run check scripts immediately after map load (light sources, etc.).
-Fixed script bug where Commander Ralo and Murag would drop papers for Ch.2 when killed in Ch.1.
-Attacking the bandit camp in Ch.1 now causes Murag to automatically flee with Favius (so the story won't break).
-New main character in Ch.1: Numbers, a bandit accountant who surrenders, improved some other dialogue.
-Sounds and game messages no longer play if map isn't yet loaded (for respawn scripts, etc.).
-Time pass dialogue window no longer displays when you travel to new maps.
-Forges now produce light (like campfires and streetlights).
-Slime monsters are now of the "fungus" species.
-Lots of Chapter 2 progress (alpha on Patreon).

Warlordocracy Early v9.8

Huge pathfinding and general AI improvement, lots of new voice sounds. Fixed lots of little bugs and made tons of progress on Chapter 2. One more week until Chapter 2 is finished, but for now why not give me money on Patreon and get the alpha?

Complete list of changes:

-AI now checks for non-diagonal paths (L-shape), greatly improving pathfinding.
-Mobiles can now move diagonally across blocked tiles (to make collision less annoying).
-Bandits, militia, pirates, etc. have lots of new death sounds, new riot ambient sound.
-Campfires now create light effect (reveal concealed characters).
-Fixed bug where weapons were being drawn on unconscious mobiles.
-Fixed bug with real backspace key in virtual keyboard.
-Fixed bug where "destroyAll" command wasn't working.
-Fixed bug with music spazzing out on map change.
-New encyclopedia entries: status effects.
-New pirate henchman: Moon Markswoman.
-New script command: "stopSounds".
-Lots of Chapter 2 progress (alpha on Patreon).

Warlordocracy Early v9.7

Got the virtual keyboard working and finished touchscreen mode. Should run perfectly on the Deck now if you turn on touchscreen mode in the options. Also, greatly improved pathfinding and framerate when ordering multiple party members. Ranged attacks can now be evaded. Lots of other little fixes.

-Virtual keyboard working if touchscreen mode is turned on in settings.
-Greatly improved framerate and pathfinding when setting multiple party destinations.
-Character window button "Dismiss" now also lets you talk to and examine party members (for touchscreen mode).
-Ranged attacks can now be evaded, attacking flying targets with melee now miss automatically.
-Decreased evasion of birds from 100% to 50%, decreased Y selection size of boars.
-Tooltips now affected by HUD opacity in settings, other HUD improvements.
-Mobiles now auto-change command to attack if target becomes hostile.
-Added factions, status effects, and some locations to encyclopedia.
-Added encyclopedia option to list all entries in a given topic.
-Now only the main character can talk to other party members.
-Lots of Chapter 2 progress (alpha on Patreon).
-Added lots more human voice sound effects.

Fixed a couple AI issues when closing in to attack and changing targets. Added new script commands and booleans, improved some voice sounds, but mostly working on Chapter 2 dialogue. New alpha will be on Patreon soon: https://www.patreon.com/lcsoftware

Complete list of changes:

-Fixed minor AI bug when changing targets during combat.
-Fixed major bug when two mobiles were closing in to attack each other and then moving one tile in the wrong direction.
-New script command "objPhased" temporarily phases an object out of existence until map change (save all stats).
-New script command "partyPhased" temporarily phases out entire party except currently-selected object.
-New script boolean "if_partyWeapons" to test if anyone in the party has weapon (ignore "hidden" type).
-New script boolean "if_objPhased" to test whether object is currently phased out.
-New script boolean "if_editorMode" to test if editor mode is enabled.
-If "PickParty" command is used without a number, it picks a random party member.
-Butterflies, birds, etc. now use phase command at night (not blank sprites).
-Improved voice sounds for party members and main characters, added new ones.
-AI script updates: no more bird sounds at night, bats phase out in day time.
-Lots of Chapter 2 progress (alpha on Patreon).

Warlordocracy Early v9.5

From now on if you save a game with the editor mode on, you're marked a cheater and that save file can't unlock achievements. Also, included a new touch screen option that removes the need for the right mouse button (I might just make that the default setting). Gonna make a virtual keyboard soon so it will be perfect on Steam Deck.

Complete list of changes:

-Added welcome notices for demo and editor modes.
-Saving in world editor now flags file as cheater, and achievements can no longer be unlocked.
-New Touchscreen option removes R-Clicking, included Item Glint option in menu and journal.
-Map music now plays immediately after changing maps instead of after script ends.
-Added skills and damage types to encyclopedia.
-New ambient sound for noble houses: clock.
-Added more shallows to Chapter 1.
