NEW UPDATE: ‘Mark that on your map’ is now live!
Howdy, cowpokes! 🤠
For this update, we've been hard at work giving players a smoother experience as soon as they start their adventure. We tinkered with the looks of the environment, deed progression, the map, and the exploration of the Wild River Prairie.

We improved the lawyer's office sequence, giving you a better introduction to Howard's story and the world. The lawyer also received a stylish new look.

Speaking of new looks, we've improved some areas by adding more environmental art. New cliffs and vegetation will help you better tell areas apart and it just looks nicer. The starting area leading to the ranch was also adjusted to give you a more clear path to the ranch.

In some cases, it was hard to distinguish the speech bubbles from the background and who was talking. To fix that we have introduced colors to better help with readability.

As the title of the update suggests, NPCs will now be able to reveal locations on your map. This should help with orientation when you want to locate quests on the map or just explore the prairie.

From our player's feedback, we noticed that to get the Tumbleville deed you had to jump through several hoops. This slowed down the pace of the game a bit too much. With this update, you will get the deed as soon as you complete the first tier of the Stetson Ranch - Shack.

We're thrilled to bring this update to Don't Die in the West and can't wait to hear what you think! Your feedback is very important to us: so please, share your thoughts, stories, and adventures with us over on Discord, Twitter, or Steam Forums!
