HumanitZ .916 Update



Hey Survivors! Update .916 is Here!

After an incredible few weeks of experimental testing, we’re thrilled to bring you the .916 update! A massive shoutout to our amazing community—your feedback and dedication have helped us craft an update that makes the game better than ever.

We’re incredibly proud of this update, as we truly believe the game has never looked this good! We’ve tackled the texture and blurriness issues reported by players, resulting in a sharper, more polished visual experience.

But that’s not all! One of the most requested features since early access is finally here—the new fixed camera option. No more relying on Q&E or the middle mouse button to rotate—now the fixed camera automatically follows your crosshair, making gameplay smoother and more intuitive.
This update also brings tons of new features, additions, fixes, and quality-of-life improvements, all designed to enhance your experience.

Localization: We have added a brand new language to HumanitZ and its big news for our Italian survivors! Huge shout out and thank you to the team at Vox Italica in collaboration with Survival Games Italia for all their hard work getting this translated for us! We have also updated Chinese, French and Russian localization. The remaining languages are currently being worked on and will be ready in the next few updates.

Server Info: Official Servers will be wiped due to the extensive changes. All Server Hosters will need to update their servers in order to reap the benefits of the changes.

  • Brand new movement and camera system has been added called FIXED! This has been requested for the longest time to have a fixed camera behind the character and we think we have finally achieved it. Internally, we recommend MOVEMENT and FIXED for best utilization, especially for our controller users.
  • Highly requested feature: Downward attacks now added to the game for all melee weapons when attacking downed zeeks and dogs
  • New Code of Conduct added for Official PvE and PvP servers (can be viewed via the humanitzgame.com website and on the Official Discord)
  • Added Welcome Message upon joining a dedicated server for new rules regarding Official Servers
  • Added holding the K key will show player names if you are an admin mode on servers
  • Added admin button to minimap to show where players are on the map
  • New Italian localization added
  • New zombie animations
  • New zombie sound effects
  • New bullet casing/shell drop SFX added to guns

  • Duplicate backpack spawning when loading an old save for the first time
  • Map returning to blank status when experiencing a power-outage related crash
  • Brake lights of vehicle staying on when exiting the vehicle while holding the brake input key
  • HAZMAT zeeks periodically will not give sound or smoke animation to show pending explosion
  • Performance drops and stutters while driving near high zombie counts or lots of buildings loading in
  • Wooden door blueprint flips opposite when built
  • Female walking animation still “janky”
  • Clothing taking durability damage in toxic environment when not wearing a gas mask
  • Consuming an energy drink will give the infinite energy symbol, consuming another liquid consumable will remove the infinity symbol but keep the perk going as intended
  • Build menu tile titles are not standardized: ex) 'generator' instead of 'Generator'
  • Scenario Mode furniture respawns when saving and exiting/re-entering session
  • Pitfall traps are larger than blueprint
  • Yes, traders can open your base gates (we're going to come up with a workaround for this)
  • Doc is still causing problems with his pathing for his quest
  • No UI pop up for items that can't go in pockets when inside a container
  • Water bottles being consumed when adding to the composting bin (not a bug as it's working as originally planned, just something we're actively fixing to not do)
  • Zeeks not dying to landmines

We've been working tirelessly since launching the experimental update, fine-tuning and improving every step of the way. Your incredible feedback has blown us away, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the response from the community! The full release for .916 is on the horizon, and trust us—you won’t want to miss it. Stay tuned, and thanks for being part of this epic journey!

Please make sure you download the latest experimental branch update (restart steam) and in your main menu screen the version should read 0.2 then you’ll be able to access the experimental servers without any issues.

HumanitZ Experimental 916 Update!



Hey Survivors! We have just launched our .916 Experimental Branch update in order to reap that amazing feedback on the NEW controls and camera changes, as well as few of the new additions prior to fully implementing in a full .916 push. There will be missing translations and some minor placeholder items as we work towards a fully stable 916 update. Remember, this is only Experimental Branch. Full release for regular implementation will shortly follow!
