MINOR UPDATE

This is a small update that fixes some bugs and includes some new improvements.

Here is the changelog 0.8.4.1:

IMPROVEMENTS
- Some minor improvements to the way the inventory page displays information when entering and exiting the page.
- The code for casting spells in combat has been revised, and when the enemy responds to a spell attack and their attack does no damage, it will no longer show the blood image on the player. Other minor details have also been polished.
- Improved images of throne rooms.

ADDED
- Added the sound of 'Riding' when travelling to the wizard tower in the story 'The Ring of King Agmar'.

CHANGES
- Changed the image of the BogBeast.
- Changed the orientation of the 'Plains4' image.

BUGSFIXES
- Fixed a page redirection error when a player returned to the East Gallery after encountering an obstacle in the adventure 'Your first Adventure'.
- Fixed a bug that caused an immediate combat cancel when the player used the 'Sing to tHe beast' spell on an enemy that was not labelled as a Beast.
- Fixed two texts that were not displayed in the Narland Inn events. (The lost City Story)
- Fixed an exploit that allowed players to gain excessive experience points by going back and forth in the catacombs of Narland. (The Lost City story)
- Fixed a small bug where when trying to fish on the shores of Turania the option to use a shovel to dig in the sand mound (if available) could disappear. (Song of Kings & Wars story)

IMPROVEMENTS
- Revised the code of several pages where epic weapons can be obtained to get a more varied result.
- Now when hovering over the 'Ink and Paper' object, it indicates how many (undelivered) stories the players have written about their adventures.

- Praying for the dying now grants 1 kindness point.
- Taking a dying man's last breath now generates 1 point of evil.
- The red dragon now has 1 more health.
- Changed the image of the -2 necromancer's staff.
- Change the image of the bear.

BUGSFIXES
- Fixed a glitch that could cause the text of old fights to appear for a few seconds when starting a new fight.
- Fixed a bug that prevented fishing in the pond in the story 'The Ring of King Agmar'.

- CHAPTER #17 - TOWARDS THE TEMPLE

Changelog 0.8.2:

IMPROVEMENTS
- The system for acquiring spells via scrolls, rings or rune stones has been improved. Now when assigning a random spell to the player, more game parameters are taken into account to grant a more suitable spell to the player depending on their class and characteristics.
- Revised the spells that can be obtained for handing in magic scrolls in the Scholars' Guild.
- Some adventure descriptions have been improved.
- Some texts have been improved.

ADDED
- New description of a future adventure.
- New item: Eloquence Stone.

CHANGES
- Characters with Wisdom above 13 who give Dark Fungus to witches or alchemists will receive the DRAIN LIFE spell instead of WIZARD KNOWLEDGE.
- An image of the Caebrend's fields has been modified ('Song of Kings & Wars' story).

BUGSFIXES
- Fixed a bug that did not detect the Net item when the player tried to fish in the options that could use net or spear.
- Fixed a bug that granted 1 goodness point to the player when using the Sleep or Lightning spell on the Troll that was holding the dwarf in the forest, even if the player did not have those spells ('The Ring of King Agmar' story).
- Added a small text that was missing when leaving the archery tournament in Caebrend ('Song of Kings & Wars' story).
- A message was missing showing the die result when the player tried to light a makeshift torch at the beginning of the adventure 'The Funeral March'. (Fixed)

- CHAPTER #16 - THE LOST CITY & STEAM WINTER SALE

Narland is a trading town near the Impassable Mountains in Aslona. There has been no news of it for a couple of months now, and the King Huw has ordered you to go there and report about the town's situation. The King fears that it may have been raided by rebellious tribes of northerners, or worse, by some horde of creatures that dwell beyond the Uncharted Lands.

Update 16 brings with it a new adventure to add to the existing ones, and can be played in both Unlimited and Campaign mode.

The Steam Winter Sale starts today, and you can get this game at a 10% discount.

Here is the full changelog with the additions and changes (v.0.8):

IMPROVEMENTS
- Now the end of adventure music does not cut out if the player enters the options menu and returns (nor does the music start again, and continues where it was).
- Adjusted the alignment of the images on the pages reporting on the achieved endings (and other improvements).
- The image of the trap door has been improved and changed. ('Your first adventure' story)
- A lot of small improvements.

ADDED
- Added new full story: The Lost City. This new adventure can be played both in unlimited mode and campaign mode.
- Added the possibility to find a - 1 Flail in the crypt of the story 'The Funeral March' (in addition to the other weapons and armour that could be found).

- The Priest class gains 1 point of Strength but loses 1 point of Charisma.
- The possible starting weapon of Warrior and Priest, -4 Flail, is now -5 Flail.

BUGSFIXES
- Fixed a bug that prevented a player going to the options menu on the final page of 'The Cobra's Ark' quest from being able to return to the game page.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the player from being redirected to the correct page when opening the options menu in the final text of the 'Your first Adventure' story.
- Avoided an exploit that could cause a player entering the options menu and returning to the completed adventure end page to get infinite points.
- Added missing text in the story 'The Cobra's Ark', when the player found a secret passage next to the temple, and then exited it immediately.
- Fixed a bug where using luck or levitation spells in the 'Your first adventure' story would give only 5 experience points instead of 10.

- CHAPTER #15 - ENCHANTED RINGS

While we wait for the next update which will include a complete new story (with two different possible story threads each time you play), I have decided to upload an intermediate one because it has already accumulated enough new content and improvements to be a normal game update.

This update puts the focus on a new mechanic: The enchanted rings.
These treasures can be found in different locations such as temples or towers, or dank dungeons. They can also be bought at the various money changers in some cities.
All these rings contain up to 3 possible spells inside, and to release them the player must go to a Wizards' Tower or a Scholars' Guild. The player can choose the spell that holds the ring from 3 possible spells, or disenchant the ring to sell it as treasure.

Also included in this update are many improvements, text revisions and new options in previous adventures.

This is the changelog for version 0.7.9:

IMPROVEMENTS
- In the 'Song of Kings & Wars' quest you can now also choose the kingdom to serve directly by selecting the banner on the map on the first page (The quest buttons still work as well).
- Improved image of Thai-Fandir's forge. ('The Ring of King Agmar' story)
- Improved the image of the interior of the tavern when you provoke a fight.
- Some texts have been improved.
- Many small improvements in almost all adventures.

ADDED
- Added Enchanted Rings to the game. These rings have a spell hidden inside and to activate it you will need to visit Wizard Towers or Scholar's Guilds.
- The money changer adds the option to buy Enchanted Rings for 6 gold coins.
- The Rogue character may now generate steal options when entering a market (+1 Evil point).
- Added the ability to eliminate the Serpent Tower Guard with the Magic Missile spell. ('The Barbarian story')
- Added a new possible book that can be found in libraries: 'Chronicles VI'.

CHANGES
- Wizard's Towers no longer sell healing potions, instead they have the option to inspect Enchanted Rings.
- Scholar's Guilds no longer sell Ink and Paper, instead there is an option to Inspect Enchanted Rings.
- The forge can no longer generate +0 Flail using Orihalcon. This is a legendary weapon that can only be obtained by defeating a legendary enemy. Instead it can generate -1 Flail which is an epic but not a legendary weapon.
- The forge can no longer generate -1 Flail using Iron. It will now generate -2 Flail instead.
- The image of the interior of the Wizard's Tower has been changed.
- The image of the Valuable Ring now represents Enchanted Ring.
- The Jewelled Ring image has changed.
- The image of Valuable Ring has changed.
- The image of the amulet +1 CHA has changed.
- The image of the amulet +1 INT has changed.
- The image of a snowy forest has changed.
- The price of buying an Emerald from the money changer has changed from 4 to 5.
- The initial text on finding a generic Wizard's Tower has changed.

BUGSFIXES
- Many of the search rolls did not show the correct number that had come up in the search roll. (Fixed)
- Fixed a bug that could prevent being redirected to the correct page when consulting the inventory on the Moneychanger's page.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the player from entering the blacksmith in the town of Crowburg. ('The Funeral March' story)
- Fixed a bug that would not display a message or pick up an item when finding King's Flowers in the dead forest in the story 'The Barbarian'.
- Fixed a bug that did not display text when Paladin Ecko was hesitating to continue on to Crowburg because of your evil nature. ('The funeral March' story)
- Fixed a message that did not indicate that you had found a map in the library and did not show the result of the WIS roll.
- The die result is now displayed when you achieve a stealth roll inside the Serpent Tower. ('The Barbarian' story)
- Fixed a bug when buying +0 Lance at the Blacksmith that instead of costing 4 coins (as the price indicated) only 3 were paid.
- Changed the name of the ring of power to ring of sorcery in the references in the book 'Chronicles I'.
