Dev Diary: Update V0.8.0 Preview
[p]Dear Tormentis Community,[/p][p][/p][p]Unfortunately, I won't be able to release update V0.8.0 before Christmas; it's now planned for January/February. I was ill for several weeks and was only able to do very little work on Tormentis.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]Current status: The Bestiary is almost complete. Every monster already has upgrades to various attributes such as damage, health, critical hit chance, etc. The higher the monster's rarity, the more upgrades are available. In the Bestiary, you can upgrade monsters with Essences. Each monster has its own unique Essence, and these will not be tradable. However, they don't take up inventory space and are part of the future "long-term grind" of Tormentis, as players have long requested. In the future, Essences will primarily be available for purchase in the League Shop, along with rare cosmetic customizations (the plans for these remain unchanged).[/p][p][/p][p]However, behavior changes for monsters in the Bestiary will not yet be available in V0.8.0. This will be continuously added in future updates.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]The new league system is already fully functional on the server side, and the menus for league battles are also complete. I'm currently working on the league view to display all active leagues. The current plan is to make a closed beta branch available for testing the new version around the Christmas holidays.
