Major Update V0.8.0 - League System, Bestiary & Loot

[p]Hello Community,[/p][p]The next major version, 0.8.0, is finally live! As announced in the last news update, this version focuses on the new League System and the Bestiary.[/p][p][/p][h2]New League System[/h2][p]The new League System places a new emphasis on actively attacking player fortresses. Each day, you receive entry tickets that allow you to attack opponents and collect Crowns (the new trophy points).[/p][p][/p][p]A League season will initially last two weeks. This is a manageable timeframe, allowing for more sustained play, and at the end, you'll receive currency for the League Shop based on your ranking. In the future, Essences will also be available for purchase there to enhance individual monsters in the Bestiary.[/p][p]Furthermore, failed League attacks no longer result in a Crown loss—you no longer risk a lower ranking after a League attack.[/p][p][/p][p]Opponents can also be respawned, but this costs League Entry Tickets and thus reduces the number of possible attacks.[/p][p][/p][p]Aggressors can also be respawned, but this costs League Entry Tickets and therefore reduces the number of possible attacks.[/p][p][/p][h2]New Game Mode: Exploration[/h2][p]Since League attacks are limited daily, we want to make it possible for all players who prefer to attack player fortresses in addition to the League mode. Exploration is attacking player fortresses with a reduced amount of lootable gold and without League entry fees.[/p][p][/p][h2]Bestiary[/h2][p]In the Bestiary, you can improve the base stats of monsters and later modify their behavior. Essences are required for this.[/p][p][/p][p]Essences can only be found in League and Exploration modes, and only if the player has reached level 50![/p][p][/p][h2]Loot[/h2][p]Over the past few weeks, I've gathered a lot of feedback and tried to implement the community's wishes to make the rewards for daily tasks, and especially the loot from attacks, more satisfying.[/p][p][/p][p]The chances of Legendary items dropping as loot have been significantly improved, particularly in League, Exploration, and Campaign modes. Version Change from V0.7 to V0.8

[p]Hello Community,[/p][p][/p][p]The next major version 0.8.0, will be released sometime next week. Contrary to the original plan, this version will only include the new league system and the bestiary. This is because urgent adjustments to the loot system are necessary and are more time-consuming.[/p][p][/p][p]The season starting this coming Monday using the old processing method (V0.7.x) will not be completed or processed. Instead, the first season using the new processing method will begin during the update.[/p][p][/p][p]Since there are a significant number of server-side changes, some technical issues with league games under the old version 0.7.x are expected. We will make the new V0.8.0 version the minimum requirement as soon as possible.[/p][p][/p][p]At this point, I would like to thank all the players who dedicated so much time to the beta and helped us with bug fixing. This has been instrumental in ensuring that the automated processes have been running flawlessly for several simulated seasons now.[/p][p][/p][p]I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the players who dedicated so much time to the beta and supported us in troubleshooting. Once the transition is complete, my highest priority will be balancing the weapon types and skills. Dev Diary: Update V0.8.0 Preview

[p]Dear Tormentis Community,[/p][p][/p][p]Unfortunately, I won't be able to release update V0.8.0 before Christmas; it's now planned for January/February. I was ill for several weeks and was only able to do very little work on Tormentis.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Current status: The Bestiary is almost complete. Every monster already has upgrades to various attributes such as damage, health, critical hit chance, etc. The higher the monster's rarity, the more upgrades are available. In the Bestiary, you can upgrade monsters with Essences. Each monster has its own unique Essence, and these will not be tradable. However, they don't take up inventory space and are part of the future "long-term grind" of Tormentis, as players have long requested. In the future, Essences will primarily be available for purchase in the League Shop, along with rare cosmetic customizations (the plans for these remain unchanged).[/p][p][/p][p]However, behavior changes for monsters in the Bestiary will not yet be available in V0.8.0. This will be continuously added in future updates.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The new league system is already fully functional on the server side, and the menus for league battles are also complete. I'm currently working on the league view to display all active leagues. The current plan is to make a closed beta branch available for testing the new version around the Christmas holidays. New Demo & Update V0.7.2

[p]Dear Community,[/p][p][/p][p]Today's update is just a small service update to improve a few translations and prepare Tormentis for upcoming events. Like last year, there will of course also be Halloween and Winterfest events.[/p][p][/p][p]For this purpose, we've created a new demo version of Tormentis that runs on its own instance and isn't tied to any versions of the live instance. This means demo players will no longer play on a server with live world players. This has caused many problems in the past, which was also the reason for the temporary deactivation of the demo.[/p][p][/p][p]However, I'm very pleased that a free demo is now available again for all those interested in Tormentis.[/p][p][/p][p]Otherwise, I'd like to give a brief outlook, as work on the next major update is in full swing. In the next few days, I'll present the first screenshots of the bestiary and describe its functionality in detail. New Update V0.7.1 - Indicators, League-Token & more

[p]Dear Community,[/p][p]After the last major update was relatively bug-free, we would like to correct the last minor issues with today's update and also implement a major community request.[/p][p]
[/p][h2]Attribute Indicators on Items[/h2][p][/p][p]A major community request was a visual indicator of how well attributes have been rolled. Perfect values ​​on attributes on items are now marked as a white dot, and almost perfect attributes as a gray dot.[/p][p][/p][p] [/p][h2]League Tokens (temporary until the new league system)[/h2][p]Since the new league system will not be implemented until version 0.8.0, it will be possible to collect tokens in some league battles until then.
